Dear Dagne, 1. I believe you are referring to the Luck Periods under your personal Ba Zi. 2. For professional Feng Shui assessment, such luck period are looked at together with your birth element and strength. 3. The factors under 2, are taken when the house Feng Shui, exterior and interior are assessed. 4. Under Para 2 above, if your Ba Zi luck periods are no good, and especially if your house Feng Shui is not good either; this is like a vicious cycle of problems. 5. And I personally believe, your present home has at least 2 major leaks. The most common are:- 5.1 Toilets at wrong locations 5.2 Odd shaped / house with missing corners 5.3 House does not match the ba zi of…

Dear Julie, 1. Usually, if you are able to hire a competent practitioner you may be able to tilt the door to one of your favourable directions. This is killing two birds with one stone ie. from inauspicious sector to a good facing direction favourable to the person's ba zi. 2. Alternatively, on this same issue, there could be a possibility you can use another door that is more suited. 3. But, this is not the worst case scenario, where it is at the death or disaster sector. 4. In addition, you might like to see if you improve other areas using shapes and forms and compass school feng shui to improve your luck further. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Oliver, Frankly, it is not a good idea. This is because, even when you want to place a pair of lions even at the gate of the home. It is preferred to use two friendly, plum and smiling face lions as opposed to fierce ones. It will definately look very awful to place two cross sword which symbolises an "X" just outside your bedroom window. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Anon, From my personal experience, it is not good to hang a wind chime with various `elements'. For example, it is still better to hang a wind chime that has no more than two elements: Example: A wind chime that has a wood clinger and a wooden `roof' combined with say hollow alluminium/metal rods is still OK. But as you had described, the wind chime that may have several elements e.g. silvery green, if dolphins are blue etc... This year, for a period 7 house, North seems a pretty bad location for most homes. Given this situation, a wind chime at North (can still be considered) unless, one has a huge open field and close to a `dirty' temple. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Respected Master Lee, We have a house facing North (it may be a few degrees towards West). Please see a rough layout below. We are looking to expand Bed2 and Bed3 towards North by 5 feet (currently there's porch there which we want to move inside by moving the walls). Dear Sonali, 1. The most important consideration for a home is, first and foremost the external environment, the site and the building or home. 2. Within the four walls; as you had mentioned; placement of beds are often restricted by the size of the bedroom, the location of the bedroom door, the windows and any attached bathrooms. 2.1 Therefore, given such a situation; preferably - the bed-head should be placed against a solid wall. 2.2 Under the Eight House, if the one's head cannot face a good direction or especially if the bedroom is unfavourable to a spouse; let the spouse with the better `intangible' force sleep closer to the side closest to this `intangible' force.…

  9. Dear Anon, 1. I would take it as a `belief' or symbolism, then Feng Shui. 2. Often, we hear the term, if you are the `boss' one should behave like one. Thus, if one is the owner of the house, often, it is the belief that the owner (breadwinner) should occupy the master bedroom. 3. In my opinion, your question has few precedence or not common to many households. Thus, your guess is good as mine! 4. Often, under `commonsense approach' it is best to occupy any room (other than the store). This is because, if we do close the door of a room too long, it may have `stale air' or stagnant qi. 5. If the is closed entirely for a week or more, air in the room may progress to `suffo…

Dear Utpal, Flying Star Feng Shui uses the common lowest denominator: The Five elements concept. (Yin and Yang is higher up under this pyramid). Pillars of destiny also uses the Five elements concept. Often, it is crucial to find out what is one's element and strength e.g. weak wood person. If this has been determined: for a weak wood person:- Favourable elements are: Water (blue, black or grey) and Wood (green or brown). Unfavourable elements are: Fire (red, pink or purple) and Metal (white or gold). The wealth element of a weak wood person is: Earth Earth (yellow, cream or beige). But take note that this wealth element is not favourable to a weak wood person. It is good…

  11. Hello Master Lee, I am new to your site and I feeling a heavenly break is happening to find you.First I want to thank you for your kindness and opportunity to reach your wisdom and experience in this deep and profound science of Feng-shui. Ihave research on Feng-shui for years, but still some areas are confused to me.Of course it is clear to me by now that feng -shui is like the Universe always moving and always changing. My husband and I areboth in the Ba-zaiyear, Metal Rat,he is belong to the East life group (kua #4)and I am from the west life group (Kua#2).I am trying to balance this opposition(their is your help so much need it) bed position is seating East, main entran…

Dear Emily, In my opinion, instead of going-head-on at looking at ways to neutralise this bad stars, it is good to check (long-term)whether your home can or cannot benefit from "flying" to Period 8. In particular what are the stars in the bedroom. Is it much better in Period 8 or the same? For this room, in particular, try to avoid having too much earth tones or in particular avoid Yellow. Since earth can further fuel metal (#7 x2). Although #3 is not so favourable, but given that metal destroys wood (#3), it is a blessing in disguise. For the bedroom, the best element or colour scheme would be the water element e.g. blue, black or grey. This is the best element, her…

Dear Desmond, One must always realise that Feng Shui is not a miracle cure for all sorts of problems. Feng Shui main goal is to attempt to create a nice environment that everyone will feel comfortable in it. Once you feel comfortable with the environment thing should go much better for you. In terms of an Office Environment, there are a lot more factors which is beyond Feng Shui. Such as Boss and Employee relationship. There is no amount of Feng Shui that can change the attitude of a boss to an employee. This is more towards Human Luck or Human to Human relationship or even Employee to Employee relationship. I mean if you do your job well, and the boss still picks on …

Instead of buying useless commercialproducts (sold) in the name of "Feng Shui"; such activites don't cost much but build long term relationships.... 1. More family bonding... bring them out for a simple outing... 2. Spent more time with family... 3. When you have the time.. talk more often with your family members... Lastly; When the buying stops, the selling can!

  15. Dear Jen, 1. The Year of Horse (2002) is fast disappearing. 2. For the Chinese, we will be celebrating the New Chinese Lunar New Year on 1 February 2003. 3. For Year of Horse 2002, Grand Duke is sitting at 180 degrees facing North 0 degrees. 3.1 Exactly opposite the Grand Duke is known as the 3 killings location. 3.2 For the Grand Duke at 180 degrees, must avoid disturbing or touching him. 3.3 For the 3 killings location, simply avoid any renovations at this sector for Year of Horse 2003 (only). 4. For Year of the Water Goat, 2003, Grand Duke will be moving towards SSW 210 degrees. And the 3 killings is at 30 degrees. (Apologies Please ignore any of my recent postings a…

  16. Dear Anon, Please see below:- To clarify, I hope I get you correctly. Do you mean to say that there is a window at the 2nd storey landing? Often, this is acceptable (in terms of bringing in or filtering) in light into the area. Usually, if there is a window, often, up to waist height should be fixed / permanent and either a casement or swing up window is acceptable. If the window is not fixed below; it may be a safety issue for young children. Personally, I do not see this as an issue; if what you mentioned seems that way. If the mirror is quite a distance away; often this is not an issue. By any chance do you have pointed gate or any objects pointed towards the …

Dear Jennifer, Please see below:- - Where is the bedroom door and avoid placing the bed where it can be seen when you open the door. - Avoid placing the bed with the headrest towards a window. - Avoid placing the bed on the same wall as the toilet. - Avoid letting any part of the bed face the toilet door. (Remedies can be applied thou). 2. Only after you have considered the above and check to see if the bed can be placed e.g. where you mentioned at the "parallel". If not, you really cannot do much with a slopping ceiling unless:- a. Hopefully the ceiling is high. The higher the better as this will reduce the `sloping' sha. b. Get a poster bed with four `pillars' on e…

  18. Dear Anon, 1. Usually, one `leak' is not as serious. But, if there are multiple leaks, than there is cause for concern. 2. Given your general statement, it is difficult to give you a `return' reply. As each situation is different. 3. Some of the questions you can ask yourself (if they are confidential to you):- 3.1 How many years have I stayed here? Or I have recently moved-in? If one has stayed for many years in the house, then, one can fall back to our personal experience. 3.2 How is my finance? If both para 3.1 and 3.2 are OK, then there should not be a need to worry about the slope. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Kianwatt, The first two looks better then the last two. As the last two can sometimes be looked as a sunset, so for living room probably you want to have something which is more bright and pleasant. The 1st picure more more like a Mountain Water scenery. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Hi,are there any concernsif the following applies to my home?? a) The Health sector happens to be where the toilet is b)The Prosperity sector is at the entrance/front door area. c) The Excellent sector is in the kitchen. Any things I can do to improve luck (apart from implementing fengshui measures based on my Flying Star chart report??)? Thanks! By the way, my husband (main breadwinner) is a West person, but the flat's facing direction (i.e. the direction with the windows and scenery)is SE (Irritation). The main door of the flat however, is in NW (Prosperity). Would this flat still be considered unlucky for him?

Dear Leanne, Under the Eight House or 4 Good/Bad directions concept; it does not change in-time. Our birth-date will determine (once and for all) our best facing (worst) facing directions. This concept of the Eight House and Flying Star Feng Shui both belongs to the compass school of Feng Shui. However, the Flying Star Feng Shui - simply put - is about the birth chart of a home. Look at it this way: humans do not change their birth date. Unless - (if one believes) in re-carnation. On the other hand, often, a building or home is like a `shell' it can be refurbished (major renovation), torn-down etc.. And if so, this changes it's birth date. Yes, it is good not to wait for…

Dear Anon, Frankly, in the past most of the "Feng Shui" of a shopping complex is done-up either based on intuition or via Feng Shui advice on the construction i.e. type of external design of say a shopping complex. Here, if a geomacer is tasked the job, he will do an environmental scanning of the surrrounding buildings andadvise on the type of structure. For example, if the neighbourhood is made up of largely of earth buildings or buildings that are squarish or rectangular in shape, a geomancer may advise that the owner build a building is in the form of a wood element e.g. tall structure e.g. like a trunk. For example, for those in Singapore, good examples are: 1. BA…

Dear Shadeeda, Unfortunately, it is not possible to fix a suitability issue. You either suit the house or not. How else can you correct the problem except to change the direction of the home (ie move to a another house which is more suitable). Same for bedroom, bed position, if a sector of the house or bed position isn't suitable, then try to change to a different bedroom or sleep in a different bed position. This is not something which you can just correct unlike other concepts like an unbalanced flying star sector which you can attempt to balance the sector. Failing an analysis in one theory does not mean that your entire feng shui is bad. Just like an exam, if you f…
