General Help

Seek General Advice from Master Cecil Lee

  1. Started by Cecil Lee,

Dear Ann, Under the attachment, it seems that there is a long narrow corridor between the living, corridor and bedroom/balcony. The centerpoint of the home has restricted qi flow or flux. In addition, markings 1, thru 2 thru 3 shows the leak from the living towards the middle bedroom. A rough indication is that it seems more favourable that there is no wall between the living room and corridor. Except for other hidden considerations such as what is the opening at the balcony e.g. are there windows, full glass height area and which compass direction there are. In your home, do check whether you do have a water position. Many people, assume that water positions are good. Bu…

Dear Jen, Thanks for the information. Yes, this is very common even locally in my country, also. It is not necessarily true all the time that such houses will have a wealth leak. As many of us are aware: 1. Under Flying Star Feng Shui, certain homes (based on facing direction) are said to have better qi flow then others. Thus, in one aspect, a home with a good facing direction does matter. 2. How suitable the house is to the breadwinner. This is another consideration. 3. Quantum Leap in Feng Shui Often, a home (on it's own) can be an average or good house. But, ulitmately, some homes can "suck wealth" from it's neighbours. Only then, can there be a quantum leap in Feng Sh…

Dear Anon, 1. I would like to help but, such questions are too general. 2. It is preferred that such questions come with at least a reasonable sketch of the surrounding or set of pictures. 3. Since, nowadays, many users have digital cameras. Please try to resize it smaller. 4. Otherwise, I hope u can understand that it is very diffcult to give concrete replies. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  4. 1. I can only make a general comment : as considerations like the distance to the slope, exactly how far the gradient to the living room etc.. 2. For a ground unit condo unit, it is very common to have similar "landscaping". Sometimes it is a blessing in disguise as it may inadvertenly afford greater privacy for parts of the facing direction of the home e.g. next to the living room is often a bedroom etc.. 3. A picture would be an excellent choice! Someapartments have PES (personal enclosed space) and if there are railingsor wooden trellis, it would most likely cover the level of the ground.. i.e. if it is not seen ... it is "no longer a threat"... 4. What is more impo…

  5. Started by myfs_144366,

These are some of the considerations:- 1. Based on Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, your bed layout is in-line with the shape of the interior in relation to the walls, bed-head area; windows and main door. Thus this is generally a good layout plan. 2. At 5th storeys high there is no major concern of sha qi from the physical point of view. At ground floor; the concern has more to do with "wandering vehicles" i.e. vehicles that could "slam" into the buidling e.g. road accident or high speed out of control vehicles. 3. Thus, strictly from the Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, a gentle curved window seems "majestic" and makes the entire home bright from both sides i.e. large facing d…

Dear Jacqueline, Frankly, it is difficult to give proper advise, given limited information. This is because, usually, when we approach a home, we look at the layout plan or of the interior of the home; the location of toilets, openings e.g. side openings etc.. to see if the wealth leak can be minimised. In relation to the current `wall' etc.. It also includes scanning of the next door neighour and the fully area front, back etc.. Therefore, given the limited info, it would not be a good idea to give any remedy as you had mentioned, it may bring far worse complications if done wrongly. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Pam, Please see below:- Generally, based on your description - i.e. comparision between these two homes, I would say your description of the gold-dust or the second home seems better:- Under commonsense approach to Feng Shui, also, this is quite rare, but -- remotely, if something do go wrong such as a land slide, then, such a home is not ideal. Land slide may never happen here, but there is always a remote possibility that cannot be discounted. Another sha qi or not favourable aspect of a home is to make sure that it is not exposed to elements - or "gale force" or strong winds. The wind coming to the property should in most cases, be "gentle type" as …

    1. Based on the Flying Star chart that; there is a water star #8 (current water wealth star) at the frontage. And it is good to consider a water position to activate the water star for better career and general luck. 2. In general, the home should enjoy good Feng Shui. Only thing is to check that the lamp post on the rounder does not slice thru the main door or a window of the home. Quote: Dear Master Some master point the No 9 house:- 1) The house need water because facing Southeast 2) In Fornt of the House water flow according to the slope 3) In Fornt of the House had a guard house and a rounder about. 4) On the rounder about had one lamp post 5) A god (Budd…

  9. Started by rocky,

Dear Rochiel, Frankly, (in my opinion) there is not much one can do unless:- 1. false ceiling to level the roof. But this is often not practical. 2. use a 4 poster bed and use material e.g. lace or other cloth material to cover the top (to act as a roof). Unlike a beam, which can be suppressed a graduating roof is `difficult' to cure. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. Thank you for the description of the condo. 2. Your situation seems rather unique. 3. Frankly, there is no current reference to your situation i.e. whether it is good or bad Feng Shui to have an interior that is distinctively sloping. 4. The only parallel to your situation is that some Feng Shui practitioners have advised their clients to get their contractor doing the flooring to gently slope the floor in the living room i.e. from from the main door down towards the middle of the room. This is not obvious to the household. 5. The purpose is literally, with the hope to `catch' wealth. 6. In my opinion, this is just an idea and from past observations e.g. o…

  11. 1. Other considerations include information from this link:- http://forum.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-under.htm 2. For example, it is never wise to have a bed directly above a sewerage pipe. 3. Thanks for your picture. Frankly, of course, in a perfect world; one should'nt even have a sewer pipe cum sewer junction / man-hole at all! 4. But we all live in a real world. In Singapore, like every other country; often sewerage man-holes are either at the front or the back of the home. No choice as these are put in place by a developer. 5. Of course it would be perfect or nice if it runs behind the home. 6. In this real world (not make believe); do check how the sewerage pipe…

Dear Sarah, Thanks for bring up an interesting point. Yes, usually the question that it (slanted roof) is considered `inauspicious' has been brought up. But not how much `damage' it may cause. In my opinion, an overhead beam would be more inauspicious then say a slanted roof. I have audited several homes with slanted roof ranging from it in the bedroom area to the study room. Some of the rooms have the slanted roof away from the bed or study. While some rooms have it away from the study (chair area where one sits). Based on my personal experience; I feel that: 1. it depends on whether how long one spents at the sector (with the slopping ceiling). 2. if for example, the be…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: The picture file shown is similar to the flat that I had purchased. The walls of the study room and another bedroom have sloping walls. If I have built in cabinets to make the walls straight, does it help? Yes, sloping walls tend to create additional poison arrow, so not very good in feng shui perspective. In feng shui, as long as you can no longer see the threat, it no longer becomes an issue. So by building a cabinet to hide the slope will be one way to resolve this sha qi. The other way is if your ceiling is very high, a false ceiling is also another away to conceal such sloping walls or any beams. These are usually the most effective sol…

Dear Debrah, 1. Best is that the ceiling is high. The higher the better as this will have less impact on you. 2. Avoid sleeping `dead center' (immediately under the) " V ". 3. One permanent way to counter act this is to use a `poster bed' i.e. with four pillars. One can use a cloth material overhead. (But this depends on your budget etc...) Sleeping under a slop is not as bad as sleeping directly under the " V" or a pillar. Depending on the material of the " V" e.g. if it is wood, one way is to use `metal' element to counter this. As there is not much information on your personal element or its strength is available, you may have to forgo this option. As for the aircon ve…

Dear Amy, Thanks for your clarifications. Since you are using your room at night, lighting is important and this would depend on whether you are working or resting. As far as possible, try to make the room as cosy as possible particulary place a faourite photo or even a small vase of (real or artificial) flowers would help. Dear Daniel, Tai Sui in the West for example means that you should avoid disturbing him especially for renovations. Having a fish tank there does not affect the Tai Sui in anyway. So don't really think you will need to do anything. Whether or not you should relocate the fish tank depends more on the flying star analysis ie where is the water wealth sector this year for best luck. That I will not be able to advise you here unless an analysis is done. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

  19. Dear Marie, Frankly, for a small apartment and especially if we have lots of belongings, it is always best to keep our posessions, neat and tidy. And, I know this must be hard, but if we do have boxes or unwanted items, it is best either to neatly pack them or give them away. For a small apartment - space clearing : does help Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Master, We have a small master room and are lost where to place our bed. Please see attached floor plan. Could kindly advise which is the best wall our queen size bed head should lean against.? I am head of the house borned in 26 Jan 65. We think is either - on the black shaded wall left side (aircon on top and toilet door is a bit diagonally opposite) OR black shaded wall right side (but share the same wall with kitchen toilet)... That black shaded wall width is only 3.5ft wide.. do we have to build a partition to make it 5 ft wide and also "flush in line" with the black shaded wall so to let the whole 5 ft bed head lean against it.? …

Dear Nghe Kwang, You may like to consider applying flying star feng shui to check on these two locations. As mentioned, in previous messages, your "Cai Wei" or wealth position can either be the activation of either a mountain or water star in particularly for period 8 star 8. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Hi Master Lee, Ever since we moved into this house 3 years back, troubles never stopped haunting us, esp in the financial sector. This has indirectly affected our other aspects of life too. Given a small house with limited floor space and all furniture being built-in, what else can we do to the house to improve the situation? Thank you. Rgds.

  23. Started by elena,

Dear Elena, The two small windows above the bed should not be an issue as it allows ventilation or proper circulation in the rooms. The main `impact' is when it is the actual windows and where possible here, do not have the headrest lean against the window. This factor is morre important consideration. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. For those who stay in a landed property, a Ming Tang or semi-circular water position at the frontage radiating outwards would be a good cure against such twin `joss-sticks'. Here, the `water' symbolically put's out the "fire" or "smoke" of the `joss-sticks'. 2. As you live in an apartment, it would seem not appropriate (or impractical) to place a water position at the balcony. 3. If you are living especially in the Far East, one may use the Ba Gua mirror placed above the balcony (mid-point). 4. Alternative cures include:- 4.1. Placing two forks (as in forks and spoon) where each fork is placed on each side of the balcony pointing towards each `joss-stick'. B…

Dear Keo Keo, There are two `levels' of analysis when using Chinese `tools':- 1. The most common is where we browse through any Chinese Astrology books, one will find that each of us as you mentioned were born in a particular year such as the year of the snake. And this zodiac sign is looked at in terms of compatiblity with loved ones. In fact, most Chinese Zodiac books will be similiar to the evaluation for eg. in the web such as www.lovesigns.net. 2. Overall, under Para 1, we are looking generally at a person's trait based on his year of birth only. 3. In more advanced Chinese Astrology or using a similar method such as Pillars of Destiny; the Year, Month, Day, Hour an…
