Thank you so much for your reply I very much appreciate it. It has made things very clear for me and now I can proceed with confidence. I do have a very good compass and as a matter of interest if you have Google Earth and then zoom down to look at your property, at the top of the page in "TOOLS" there is an option for "RULER" click this and the click two points on your property this will give you a very accurate direction of your property.
