Dear Wasis, 1. In general, Feng Shui analysis of a business or office building is similar to that used for audit of the home. 2. For example, the Flying Star analysis is used to analyse the birth chart of the office. 3. Shapes and Form Feng Shui is also used in an office environment. 4. One's Personal Gua or (Ba Zhi) is also used to match the person to their office. Warmest Regards, Cecil Regards, Wasis

Dear Judy, One good example is the double happiness chinese character which symbolises a `pair'. It is considered good for objects to be in pairs (a couple) in the bedroom. The belief is that it is not auspicious to have ferocious objects in the bedroom such as the tiger, lion and very yang objects such as the dragon. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Valeria, 1. The key to understanding the Eight House Theory is that one must be physically present at that location or spent more time at these sectors. For example, if it happens that your bed is at the South (disaster) sector, here, you are spending time at this sector. 2. This theory does not mean that one need to place a `cure' at the South-East (death sector). If one does not spent some time there, this is fine. 3. Contrast this with the Flying Star analysis where each sector has three elements i.e. #mountain star #water star and base numbers which is represented by an element each. Here, if there is an imbalance caused at a specific sector, then a balance or c…

Dear Anon, 1. There are indeed many (many) methods of calculations under "Numerology" and variants to it. 2. Furthermore, numbers are quite subjective and there are many interpretations. 3. It is very difficult to be accurate with simple analysis like what you had mentioned. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Yvonne, 1. Contrary to popular belief, it does not necessarily follow that if the door faces south, it should be painted red. 2. Or if the door faces North (blue); East (Green or brown). 3. If one is not sure what colour to paint the door, neutral color e.g. natural wood grain color or white is the most acceptable color. 4. If Flying Star Feng Shui is considered as red represents the fire element, the sector at South is checked to see the interaction of the three #mountain + #water + base number to check that they are in balance. After the above evaluation, then one looks at whether painting the door pink or red (Fire element) is either beneifical; neutral or may d…

Dear Cynthia, In Feng Shui:- 1. Flying Star analysis Usually, if one falls sick often in a new house, assessment using Flying Star to check especially the sickness/misfortune sectors can help in this area. 2. Shapes and Form Check especially if there any poison arrows aimed at the bed? or through the bedroom window. Is the bed placed on the same wall as the toilet? 3. If you live in a landed property, is there any underground water running under the house close to the bedroom? http://www.geomancy.net/fs/under.htm (Under para 3, this is usually due to prolonged stay in such a house. The above are the three key tools used for checking on sickness. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Judy, Please see below:- In general:- 1. Auspicious symbols e.g. each of the mandarin characters Fu Lu Shou can be carved a string of auspicious character as borders e.g. say outside the building or on a piece of furniture. I personally have a table lamp that has carved piece of "Fu" character table lamp. Here, these are auspicious symbols, that are part of the furniture or fittings. 2. The `taboo' or `superstition' is that if it is a figurine of one of the deities etc... it should be `treated with dignity and respect'. Thus, for objects that are `alive' or figurines, try to avoid placing them at locations I had mentioned earlier such as next to a toilet wall. …

Dear Anon, Under Shapes and Form School of Feng Shui, many FS practitioners are particular about pointed objects in the couple's bedroom. If this bedroom belongs to a couple, it is advisable not to have a `pointed' headboard. This is similiar to NOT having a pointed or ^ shape above the door. A ^ shape e.g. especially above the door e.g. a triangular design above the bedroom door would lead to `divorce'. As you have not mentioned in detail the shape of the headboard - is it a triangle shaped ^ headboard? If it is, the shape is not ideal. For the moment, I can think of e.g. a cap to place on top of the pointed object. I know it may sound funny to some but the main object h…

Dear Tian Wan, Generally, when you refer to good oa bad direction for a house it depends on several things. 1. If you refer to a good and bad house based on a Flying Star for example. Then yes, a house can be good and bad depending on the location. However, this by itself does not mean that a bad house is bad for everyone. 2. It also depends very much on the suitability of the house to the owner. I this means that a house which is suitable to the owner can overrule some of the bad influence the house has, as it is generally favourable to a person. So it depends on how you look at it. Generallly, however, most problems can be solved especially for influences based on F…

Dear Chee Kiat, Please see below:- No, under Shapes and Form School of Feng Shui, unless one is going for `battle' or in an era, where, it is used for self defense, one should not place the steel sword. This is because, objects such as this if displayed is considered `sha qi' or bad qi. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Please clarify the term you mean "face inwards". Do you mean the facing direction of your entry to the house? Thanks for advice.

Hi Anon, I have just moved in to a house with the exact same combinations as yours. Main Door is East. I have put in the relevant cure for it. So although it is not so good, but it is neutralize. On another note, I am occupying the fading prosperity sector as my room. If you look hard enough, this is a good sector. You can activate the mountain star. With this combination, the occupier will derive great financial skill and leadership(esp good in military). I have yet to see this ;) but I hope it won't be long. So far, I have implemented the relevant cures throughout the house, activate the relevant mountain stars. The key here is to balance all the imbalance elements. O…

Dear Kaushal, Since you are a weak fire person, the best element here is wood element i.e. green or brown. The next best colour is fire i.e. pink, purple or red. The controlling element for fire are: 1. Metal to control the wood which is your production element. 2. Water to destroy fire. (avoid using this combination unless the card turns out to be all RED.) Here, for example, the `trick' is to use black font (black represents water element). However, since the card is small, you can chose colors based on the above. Do remember that the Five Elements concept is about seeking a balance also. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Elena, I will get back on this in more detail. Presently, avoid a fence that looks like the attached. As you correctly mentioned, good fence is nice to have. Fences that e.g. use wrought iron i.e. squarish or roundish bars are good. They are equally good e.g. if an arrow head design is pointed upwards. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Tian Wan, It would seem to me that you are refering either to the ba gua or the 24 ba zi feng shui theory. However, in either case, it would seem that only South is good for you. North cannot not be good for you as Water destroy fire. Since you are a weak fire, water is bad for you. (This is assuming that we only take your element as weak fire ignoring other details) (Unless of course it is based on another theory etc) The other good directions are like East (wood) which helps to produce fire. 1. Feng Shui of the house itself should be good especially in key areas such as Main Door sector and bedroom of the breadwinner 2. The Main Door should be such that ei…

Dear Chee Kiat, 1. No, you do not need to turn on the table lamp light. 2. This area has to do with `Shapes and Form Feng Shui' rather than saying that the table is wood and lamp is fire. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Tian Wan, However, based on what you mentioned I am guessing you are referring to the Pillars of Destiny. It very much depends, as Pillars of Destiny does a more accurate assessment based on birth element thus in terms of birth element you should use the Pillars of Destiny. For the direction of suitablility. The Eight House is a better tool to determining this and can be use with a more enhanced version 24 directional ba zi feng shui to determine a more accurate good and bad suitablility. Each theory has good and bad point and meant for a specific usage. So you need to know when to use which one to get the best out of Feng Shui. Which theory are you refer…

Dear Marie, If you mean that it is displayed facing `looking' inwards of the house. It is best to avoid, having a dragon figurine facing inwards towards the interior of the house. Where possible, it should face outwards or to an opening i.e. an open window. This is applicable especially to a `five claw' dragon. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Evamarie, 1. Usually, there is not much cure (if any) for such a ceiling. 2. If the ceiling is not sloping but curved or semi-circular (rounded), this is still acceptable). 3. For the bed, a poster bed where one hangs e.g. a `canopy' or lace or cloth above it is one method of neutralising it. Otherwise, there is really not much can be done. The higher the ceiling, the better it is. Or the effects are considered lesser. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Elena, 1. In my opinion, textured walls are acceptable. 2. Over here, for the last 5 to 10 years, it also is very popular. It is also very good at detering lizards from climbing on them. 3. In the past, many buildings use rough surfaces (not noecessary sand blasting or textured walls). 4. Thus in my opinon, the textured surfaces is not a concern. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Vadym, 1. The more accurate analysis is the use of Pillars of Destiny as it analyses your Year, Month, Day and Time of birth. In the more advanced analysis, Year, Month, Day, Time, House of Conception and House of Birth are taken into consideration. 2. Thus, if the proper analysis was done and as you are deduced to be a `strong metal', you can use more advanced methods such as looking at each direction based on the element. 3. For example, North is Water. South is Fire element. Thus for this two sectors: 4. Since water exhausts your STRONG metal thus create a balance. This sector is considered good for you. 5. Fire is also good sector as fire destroys strong metal t…

Dear Sal, 1. Size of fountains are important. Equally important is the sound of vibrant water flow. If the fountain is just a `tiny' fountain of no less than 3 feet or 1 metre in length, it should be considered more a decorative piece where one would have to fork out money like any other decoration. When we talk about fountains or waterfalls (real or artificial) they should equally be vibrant i.e. sound of water and not just water flowing gently. Here, one should consider such fountains as mere decorative piece of `art'. For dragon figurines if it is on a fountain, it is best to let if face outwards of the home. Dragons should not face into the house. Dragon `qi' usuall…
