Dear Mr. Lee, Thank you for suggesting the use of fire (as in lights) to neutralize the potential of further arguments and lawsuits with my nasty neighbors. You have also suggested to locate the flying star #3 on 20 years and yearly. I have rechecked my flying star report for the house, which is a NE and 8 period house. 20 years #3 is located on the South and yearly #3 is located in the Center. South is 3-7 combination and Center is 8-3. I have been using red color decorations on those 2 areas since the beginning of this year.I am thinking maybe I can use red lights instead. South is also right beside the back door. The back door is in a small back porch which is like a…

Dear Lei Sun, This idea was first mooted out by several Austrailian Feng Shui practitioners in the past: this was around the mid 1990's. But, several of these practitioners had retracted this method. Even down-under, one should still use the current North-South compass orientation - and should not flip it to South-North. This is the current consensus amongst most Traditional Feng Shui practitioners. Warmest Regards, Cecil I am living Best Regards Lei

Dear Cecil & Robert Lee To understand more of the Location and Flying Stars. Please give me your advice. 8 Mansion is more of Direction/facing of the house which include the personal kua suitable of the house. It can be at the window or any door of the house. By standing at the centre of the house (above 9th floor apartment) face balcony or window. As for Flying Stars is the birth of the house whether one have it renovate or not. One have to stand centre of the house face at the door and take themeasurement as welleg. Location (8 mansion) my house facing North located at windowandmain door located atNE. To do flying star I have to measure the main door NE. In another…

Dear Amelia, 1. Yes, I personally feel that the arrangement is OK. 2. This is because, of many us who have children would be aware that when they sleep, they practically roll all over the bed in all directions. So let them be. 3. Don't rob them of their youth:) 4. On the issue of a double-decker bed. In the past, I had posted a message that in my opinion, there is no issue with a double-decker bed. The "misunderstand" arose because some FS practitioners claim that sleeping under a double-decker bed is no good. As it acts like a beam. But, let us look at it logically: 1. double-decker beds was not just invented this year or the last. It has been around for many, many yea…

Hi Anon, 1. If you take the entrance of the building, you will be doing a feng shui for the entire building. This means that you will be doing the feng shui for tall offices within the building itself. Which is a larger scale of analysis typically used for when you are planning to build the entire building itself. 2. Each office unit within the building does have it's own feng shui, so you should be looking at the individual feng shui of the office based on the main door or office frontage. Since your aim is to check on your own office, then you should point 2. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui

Dear Dominique, Please see below:- You can find the information at the following url:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-colours.htm A good example is the " Finding a Good House Report " at http://www.geomancy-online.com It looks into three dimensions:- 1. A 360 degree overview of the Flying Star or Xuan Kong Feng Shui at every main entrance of each of the 24 directions (mountains). 2. In addition, the Eight House directions is also compared with Para 1 and Para 3. 3. Personal Ba Zi of the breadwinner i.e. element and strength in relation to direction of the main entrance. 4. Overall, the best house is one where all 3 (Para 1, 2 and 3) are favourable …

  8. Dear Sharon, One thing for sure, many of us are "getting old". And our body parts are "wearing out" or most likely, the weather is indeed getting colder. Sorry for the side-track, thou. Usually, on the medical side, often, prolonged sleeping in such a situation plus the age, could affect our body. Alternatively, it is also the food we take or lack of vitamins. Anyway, from a Feng Shui point of view, if you are able to chart out the sector Flying Star, most likely, the #5 sickness or misfortune or #2 sickness star could most likely have flown into your bedroom. To be certain, or reduce the incidence, check to see if you can try to avoid colours such as : Yellow (brig…

Dear Anon, Please see below:- As mentioned in my earlier reply on this subject; this is actually contingent on the Flying Star Feng Shui. Yes, it is based on the Flying Star Feng Shui. No, based on what I have understood of the concept, it has to be a reall hill e.g. as high as a 1 storey building. For tall trees and bushes; often; it is not considered as a hill (since, it still no matter what allows air to pass thru. Another senario is that i.e. it depends! Since no two situations are similar in every home). I appreciate; that in the future, it is best not to use the "Anonymous" on topics such as this one. Else, I may not post it out. The rationale is because…

Dear Manuel, Can I check with you what is the concern you have about your bedroom door facing NE. Under Feng Shui, often, our main concern has to do with the `mouth' of the house i.e. the main entrance door. But as for the bedroom door, it should be looked at in a holistic way i.e. the entire bedroom inclusive of the windows, and shape of the room/attached toilet? etc.. And with this information, we can then better work out the best placement of the bed. Warmest Regards Cecil

  12. Dear Bea, Actually, we should also consider the current state or condition of the exterior of the building: Is the building in good repair or is it totally worn out? Often, if the exterior is given a new face-lift or is very well maintained, and also the lift lobby and other walkways -- this is a sign that we May consider it as being in a period other than say built under 1964. If the whole block of the apartment looks really run-down, than, for sure, we can consider it as under 1964. In addition, does your interior condition match the exterior? If the exterior looks reasonably clean and bright, and similarly your apartment has new coat of paint, then, this is a "step…

  13. Dear Anon, Truly, in this case, you really have not much place left for an office. For most office, so long as it is well ventillated e.g. with air-con. This is OK. However, if (last resort) you are using your home bomb shelter, one can still do so so long as there is also sufficent ventilation and lighting. Frankly, often, the rubbish cute is closed when not in use. Not a major issue. Therefore, if you really have no choice, do try it out first and see how it goes, here. Of-course, if there are any other choice e.g. using the living room - where one can see the day - night, this is much the bette…

Dear Yeow Kwang, Frankly, often, if one does not have an office room of our own, we are limited by the placement of "system-furniture". For example, many times, quite alot of bosses, who believe in Feng Shui, would quietly in the evening invite a FS practitioner to his/her office to have it Feng Shuied. And, often, there is a posibility that the table can be shifted to an optimum or near optimium direction. In particular table facing the "prosperity" or "excellent" sector. However, many of us do not have the luxury of doing so in a shared office. Thus have to ride on the luck of the boss or entire office planning. Frankly, this has more to do with Man or Human luck th…

Dear Kenneth, Yes, contrary to popular believe, a fish tank may not necessarily be good for everyone or in a home or in a specific location. Frankly, there are several key considerations in Feng Shui. For example, some of them may be "technical":- 1. What is your true element orstrength (Ba Zi) A weak fire person or a strong water person or a weak metal person? If one belongs to any of these elements, it is not very favourable to place water position inside the home. 2. Flying Star Feng Shui Under this compass school Feng Shui, each sector is said to have a combination of elements e.g. : Mountain star (MS) , Water star (WS), base star. (And even the yearly and mont…

  18. Started by myfs_99176,

Dear Anon, It depends: 1. Where possible, there should be ONLY 1 water position. And this water position (real water) should only be activated according to the Flying Star Feng Shui. For example, a period 7 house has a double #7. And water is used here to activate it for `wealth' under Period 7 etc... 2. Often if there are more than 2 water positions e.g. fish tank measuring 4 ft by 2 ft, is pretty significant and thus not ideal to have more of it.... 3. For a Strong water person, in some instances, it is preferred if the water position is at the balcony area (outside the living area of the home). 4. It also depends on the decor of the home. For example, for a strong wat…

  21. Started by wasis,

Dear Wasis, 1. In my opinion, so far, there are no long term or even short term studies done on this area. 2. I personally feel that there is no harm in doing so; it is really up to homeowner. For example, talking clocks, cuckoo clocks and clocks that chime every hour have been around for quite sometime. 3. Therefore, if it makes one comfortable and secure, this has more to do with Ren cai (man luck) than Feng Shui. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Annie, 1. Reference location map: http://www.streetdirectory.com.sg/map.jsp?x=28803.82&y=28968.79&level=7&postal=088879&star=1&xyfile=&oldX=28803.82&oldY=28968.79&heading=150+NEIL+ROAD%2C+BUKIT+PASOH+CONSERVATION+AREA+%28088879%29 2. Yes, in my opinion, the Cantonment entrance is better. 3. Nowadays, with air-conditioning, there is no issue with road noise. 4. Given that often, one cannot directly affect the external environment; from a Feng Shui perspective; the most Feng Shui can do here are: 4.1 Examine the main entrance facing - and harmonizing the signage to fit the `facing' direction of the unit. For example, the direction will b…

Dear Joey, This is a very good question. Since you encountered such a situation, it is best to: 1. Often, this building does not stand-alone. 2. Do look around at other buildings on the same "row". And where their "main entrance" are located. 3. If it is a shopping complex, usually, there is a "major" entry or lobby vs a smaller side lobby. 4. Check for sun-light/shadow flow. Which facing is blocked by other buildings? 5. Is the building close to the sea? If so, often, we should look closely at the facing towards the sea. 6. At the entrance area, check to see which lobby looks bright (natural brightness). Warmest Regards, Cecil

  25. Started by myfs_108029,

Dear Anon, The reason why you will not find answer to your question is because in order for anyone to know where is the best position to place a water feature, will mean that they will have to do a full personalised anlaysis of your home before anyone can recommend where exactly you can place the water feature so as to take advantage of the new period. Generally, a water feature is good to be located in an open space area, often the frontage or garden would be a generally a good choice. I so happen to reply another question on water feaure, which I have put up some tips and guides on water position which you can read up as a guide. http://forum.geomancy.net/webboard/wb…
