Dear Anon, The reason why you will not find answer to your question is because in order for anyone to know where is the best position to place a water feature, will mean that they will have to do a full personalised anlaysis of your home before anyone can recommend where exactly you can place the water feature so as to take advantage of the new period. Generally, a water feature is good to be located in an open space area, often the frontage or garden would be a generally a good choice. I so happen to reply another question on water feaure, which I have put up some tips and guides on water position which you can read up as a guide. http://forum.geomancy.net/webboard/wb…

Dear Joey, This is a very good question. Since you encountered such a situation, it is best to: 1. Often, this building does not stand-alone. 2. Do look around at other buildings on the same "row". And where their "main entrance" are located. 3. If it is a shopping complex, usually, there is a "major" entry or lobby vs a smaller side lobby. 4. Check for sun-light/shadow flow. Which facing is blocked by other buildings? 5. Is the building close to the sea? If so, often, we should look closely at the facing towards the sea. 6. At the entrance area, check to see which lobby looks bright (natural brightness). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Glenetta, Frankly, as mentioned earlier, this has more to do with beliefs than Feng Shui. In my opinion, one could place the evelope perhaps at the same location where we often have a "central" focus or display or on a table. Sometimes, we could place it at convenient locations such as next to or close to the set of keys or the table where we place our wallet or set of car keys etc... I have never done this before -- i.e. the placement of a "wish" envelope, thus, perhaps, this could be the wrong place for such a question. To me, any place will do so long as the wind does not blow it away or a place where, it does not collect dust or placed into a location that aft…

  5. Dear Master Lee, I am renting a flat in Basel, Switzerland as I am moving there for a new job. Here is the floorplan of the planned rental apartment as per the PDF file (I am occupying the apartment that is highlighted in pink) http://www.homegate.ch/rent/105251077?tr=1 http://www.homegate.ch/www/ftp/f372/doc/201507231615172423947.pdf The door is facing the NE directiion (45?) as measured by a compass (from inside looking outside), which is my GOOD direction, as calculated by your software, as part of the paid service. My question is which room I can designate my living room and dining room, since the rooms are about the same in size and shape. I a…

  6. Dear Anon, Truly, in this case, you really have not much place left for an office. For most office, so long as it is well ventillated e.g. with air-con. This is OK. However, if (last resort) you are using your home bomb shelter, one can still do so so long as there is also sufficent ventilation and lighting. Frankly, often, the rubbish cute is closed when not in use. Not a major issue. Therefore, if you really have no choice, do try it out first and see how it goes, here. Of-course, if there are any other choice e.g. using the living room - where one can see the day - night, this is much the bette…

  7. Correction: No (2) question should have read 5,1,7 (mountain, base, water) instead of 5,7,7. BTW, is it bad to locate a bedroom in this sector? as the 7 metal controls the bad 5 earth or do I still need to add metal. Apologies for any inconvenience. Awaiting your advice. Keith C

Dear Frank, Please see below: Some Feng Shui schools recommend placing "yin" water at sectors that is out of balance and require "yin" water. Here, get a 1.5 litres plastic bottle, place 6 coins inside and fill it up with tap water. Here, again, it is used as a cure rather than as an enhancement. Frankly, between such "remedies" I would instead, prefer to invest in a Hepa air cleaner such as from Honeywell , Sharp etc... to help purify the air instead. Since, these are proven. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Nita, Frankly, this issue has more to do with maintenance or upkeep of the furniture (cupboard) than Feng Shui. Often, broken or nearly broken pieces could further fall off or splinter and this may not be safe. For example, pieces could fall off to the floor and one may accidentally step on it. If there is an issue in replacement, then, provided, also "uglyness" is not an issue, than, simple options are to purchase masking tape or scotch-tape to seal the sharp edges and hold the rest of the mirror together. Later on, than, see whether you can take your time to replace it. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Lynda, Yes, given your situation, it is best to maximize the Feng Shui of your home based on Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. Please see below:- However, white even for furniture is considered a neutral element. And since white also represent metal, it is one of the safest colours. Under the Eight House, if the sector is better for you, then, it is best that you sleep closer to the sector while your husband, sleeps further away. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Master Cecil, iv>I would like to thank you for your informative website. Recently i had been reading the available resources and forum messages.iv> Curre ntly i m staying in a bunk and would like to enhance my career. Came across some advice on placing a picture of aspiration in the N of the room. The photo is of a jet with the pilot visible and it is pointing to the bottom left of the picture. the photo frame is black in colour but is made of wood. Does it neutralise or create negativity since water feeds wood and water is said to be in the north. And also if my wealth sector in the south, if i were to place a similar picture, the picture would be facing the d…

Dear Robert Lee If I were to do painting my house or buying a house. How do I know feng shui and bazi have to be auspicious. How can I tell which part of my bazi is weak. Do I refer the day master or the yearly earthly branch or monthly branch. If the feng shui suitablity of the house is gooddoes that mean I also have to refer the bazi chart or either way bazi is good and thesuitablity is inauspicious.Do I have to check the breadwinner bazi. Hope to hear from you. Thank you in advance warmest regards Sophia Chia

hi master, please help me apply fengshui cures to my newly built master bedroom (still under construction). this bedroom is an extension of my house located right side wing facing the house. it is in the north section area. the bedroom ceiling is 8ft going down slope to 7ft. i will put screen divider to the master bedroom to make it into 2 bedrooms because we will share only one aircondition. if i will not put divider, the room will be an L shape. the master bedroom consist of 3 doors, the door (south)that is facing with kitchen door and the door(east) going to dirty kitchen with small living room (it is together) with door (south) going out to garage. the main house has…

  16. Dear Anon, 1. I certainly wish, Feng Shui can help, here. But there are several considerations: 1.1 To-date, this is indeed a buyer's market. And there are just too many choices open for selection by many buyers. 1.2 The only (logical) use of Feng Shui is (IF) one's home does have one or several favourable Shapes and Forms (auspiciousness) - as a major selling point. 1.3 But, often, many people nowadays also bring along a compass to find the best directions or to see if the house is suitable to them. 1.4 This is not Feng Shui. But I believe, you would have `cleaned' up or had touched-up repainted the house e.g. white *a neutral colour' to make it look clean and bright. 1…

Dear Felecia, Usually, the major cause of concern for a landed property is to avoid underground water or sewerage pipes running under the bed. Here, a German study has found that there are high incidence of cancer where beds are located immediately above these pipes running below ground. Frankly, for the Chinese (especially) many Chinese FS practitioners would often, recommend not to buy the site. (Me included). This is because, the graves are at the frontage of the home. It would be better if the graves are (at least) at the back of the home. Given that your husband has cancer, it would not be too favourable to have such a home. For those who are interested in buildi…

Dear Hoa, As mentioned, in the earlier message, it is best to provide the # numbers. For a fire cure, often, check to see if a sector has good natural lighting. This is the best solution. If not, check to see if the location does not have too much "dark" coloured items and the walls are kept bright. Or alternatively, is the lighting sufficient at this sector. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, All over the world, many of us work either in an open office and use system furniture and are not able to or (have the luxury) of placing our table to our good directions. So this is indeed a consolation to you. Based on the holy trinity of luck:- 1. Heaven luck - what is given to us (Ba zi) 2. Earth luck - the office environment is only of the other factors. Other factors include our home. 3. Human or man luck - given that currently one is quite constrained on the earth luck i.e. unable to face a good direction for work, then, we should make use of our man or human luck to good use i.e. be a good team player and work smart ...not necessarily hard War…

Despite these two issues it feels great to me on a lovely block with bush outlook Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated, Bel

Dear Kris, Please see below:- 1. There is a difference seeing three light lamp posts. This is because, from a window, most of us could see several objects. 2. What is more important is to check to confirm whether: does it `slice' thru the window? 3. If do, the most effective method is "if it cannot be seen, it no longer becomes a threat" i.e. a simple day curtain (that allows light to come-in, yet, can screen out the view.) Or the use of a window blind. 4. THE FISH TANK 4.1 Under traditional Feng Shui, some Feng Shui practitioners advise on the placement of a fish tank at the window area. However, please note that it is best that the breadwinner or his/her spouse is n…

Hi Anon, Feng Shui is no miracle cure for all problems. Feng Shui cannot control how much a person wishes to spend or save, this is more of a human factor. You should probably try to say get your husband to do like a financial planning, so that he can see how much he earns and how much he spends. This way he will then realise that he might be spending unnecessarily and start to save more. No amount of feng shui can help you change it. Feng Shui can help you improve the amount of potential wealth, happiness and health but it cannot help you on controlling your wealth. For questions on Health, there may be two possibilities:- 1. From Ba Zi, it seems that you though yo…

  24. Dear Sullivan, Apologies; what I was talking about has more to do with "openings" in a home that e.g. allow light to filter into it. Therefore, the idea is that, for example, if one side of the home is littered with lots of windows, doors, balcony, patio or sliding doors; therefore, it implies that with so many openings, there is a higher probability that this side is the facing direction. Although, a side where there is higher intensity could SEEM to be the facing side. But, often, this is not the main consideration. For example, for a bungalow that has four sides, and if the facing direction is North-South facing (e.g North - facing and South - sitting), just beca…

Dear Nisha, It is understandable, when you mentioned that you are only a tenant and would like to have many of your favourite things in your bedroom. Yes, I do encourage you to make first and foremost your room as comfortable with all your favourite things! It does not matter if there are fishes. But, it brings you both pleasure and comfort - GO FOR IT! The logic here is based on this understanding: 1. Often, many good FS practitioners will stick to or advise their clients on the Holy Trinity of Feng Shui: 1.1 Heaven Luck - what is given to us 1.2 Earth Luck - our abode / work place 1.3 Human Luck - what brings us happiness:) Sometimes, for some, we have limited earth luc…
