In my opinion, there are different opinions with regards to this. Frankly, some geomancers don't even associate the two i.e. a chiming clock and NE or SW sector. Thus, if they are truly not either aware or too concern about it; then this is one consideration. Often, if one practises Flying Star Feng Shui; and applies Flying Star Feng Shui; As a simple e.g. sectors that have CONCENTRATION of YIN stars e.g. 2, 4, 6, 8 plus if these locations are especially the storeroom or a basement area; then even if these sectors are not NE or SW, can harbour COLD spots. If you have put two and two together and find yourself in doubt; then; you MAY if you wish; if feel not so comfortabl…

    1. The two stars #3 and #4 are associated or share the same significance. 2. Thus, not only just the annual #4 but also #3. 3. Common sense says that if one's water feature or position is of a certain size; it is not practical to shrink the water in such a feature too drastically. For example, if one has a fish tank. It is not practical to half-the water in such a water position. 4. Under the Five elements concept; so long as the water feature has all the five elements: then there is balance. For more information of what makes a well balanced water feature comprising all five elements: Resource: http://fountain.geomancy.net Para 2.1 to 2.12

Frankly, all these have to do with personal believes than Feng Shui. In my opinion, it is best not to be too concerned with "other people's logo" especially since one does not have full control over it. If one really fancies a car, then based on ba zi; could go for one's favourable colour(s) for the car. For example in a conscripted army like Singapore uniforms: green = army white = navy blue = air force If a person is a strong wood person. Can this person requests to go into the navy (white) instead as green is considered inauspicious? What you mentioned, therefore is utopian way of thinking. Then there will be others who will say: THREE pointed stars (Mercedes) logo i…

May be can check with the landlord. For Flying Star Feng Shui, it is slotting the home into one of the 20 year flying star periods i.e. 1983 to 2004. And one do not need to know the exact date e.g. 5 Jan 1985 10.55.55 secs ty…

  13. 1. Please refer to this link with guidelines:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=6&mid=32760&new= 2. In the above link, do take note that the conservative may even still consider the home as a Period 7. 3. And one should still work out TWO charts. And follow the advice or guidelines. For example, there are situations where the Flying Star numbers at a specific sector(s) are: 3.1. In both periods sometimes both star numbers are near identical e.g. either auspicious or inauspicious stars. If so, it is safe to apply the 20 year flying star "cure" or "enhancement" without any detrimental effects. 3.2. Thus, don't always assume that just bec…

    1. These are some considerations:- 2. It is good to understand some guidelines and useful considerations in either determining whether a home changes period. Or if unsure, what are the reasonable steps to determine the Period of a home:- http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=6&mid=32760&new= 3. Ideally, if one had bought a new home, but YET to stay in; could consider doing all the renovations be it major or MINOR PRIOR to move in. 4. Thus, it is better that after completion of the sale/purchase of the home. Immediately do the necessary renovations (especially at the center area). 5. Then if possible, move-in or (select a good date to move-i…

The concept of: Ashes to Ashes, dust to dust holds true for anything that has been cremated. Thus cremation is considered as : Neutral. As a mark of respect; often, place it somewhere that is not often disturbed. Need not display it. So long as not placed below one's bed or preferably not in one's bedroom is fine or OK. Often if one has a study, can be placed e.g. on a shelf perhaps next to the window etc... There are no hard or fast rule for such things. Thus "show respect" is a good idea, here.

In my opinion, this has more to do with beliefs and customs than Feng Shui. And also based on common sense and may affect the subsequent re-sale value - if any. For example, the Cantonese dialect group felt that "14" means Sure to Die.....

  19. 1. Frankly, of course, this is not ideal: both in terms of Feng Shui and personal feel (especially if one is fully aware of this). 2. From the illustration, one good thing is that all the sewerage pipes are not sharing the same wall as your work-station. Which is a plus point. 3. Most likely the wall separating your work-station is made of concrete; this is again another plus point. 4. Traditionally, one can buy a hulu (around 2 inches to 3 inches) high and place it on one's table. If it is not hung, then metal (brass/copper) hulu can be used, here. Alternatively one of those wooden hulu can also be used.

These are some considerations: 1. In general, kitchen is located at NW = "Fire at Heaven's gate". One way to reduce the incidence is to introduce "earth and water" in the kitchen. 1.1. Try to check where is the true cardinal point of NW. And closest to this area, can introduce : pottery / glass-ware or any thing that is made from earth e.g. mugs in cabinets, near to this area. And another method is to introduce e.g. 2 x 1.5 clear water containers e.g. on the table top especially if the stove is at NW.

These are some considerations: 1. Please see attached illustration. 2. What you mentioned comes under thegreen shaded area: Eight House or Eight Mansions Feng Shui. 2.1. Where your best directions and sectors are SW, W, NW and NE. 2.2. For your second part of the enquiry: S is fire element but my kitchen is E location..... 3. For this 2nd part; it also involves: all those highlighted inYELLOW in the chart. 4. Unfortunately, you cannot simply use or apply the shadedGREEN area = eight house in ISOLATION. 5. In the chart; you will see that Eight House and Flying Stars belong to the Compass School of Feng Shui, also. 6. I am truly afraid, if you were to DIY or want to DIY, y…

You wrote: Question 1: How will the feng shui be affected if I enclose the whole area with a security grille like the one in the photo I attached? There are two schools of Feng Shui: 1. Shapes and Forms. From your sketch, via a top-down view or helicopter view; the outline still looks rectangular. 2. Compass School Feng Shui : Flying Star One should still consider the enclosed living quarters when plotting a flying star chart. And often it is easier to focus specifically on the living quarters (excluding the outdoors). But Flying Star chart can be extended and used to look at any features that some may want to add e.g. in the new outdoor area. For example, some are eyei…

Frankly, the ideal choice (if possible) is "If it ain't "broken" don't fix it". If unsure, should always keep it as it is even if it has become greyish i.e. Do nothing.... is the best!
