Dear Daniel Congratulations on your exam results:) Generally, since it is team, and that it is not permanent, any reasonable abode should be acceptable so long as they have a good rest:) More importantly, they are refreshed and are able to perform well. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  2. Started by carinatien,

Dear Carina, 1. Where possible, it is better to have children sleep on as you mentioned, proper beds rather than on the floor. 2. Usually, it is still not as bad if the floor is paquet or wood flooring. This is because, tiles are cold and the belief is that it is better not to have them in the bedroom. Here, the main belief is that when one wakes up, when our feet touches the floor, it is best not to immediately step on `cold' tiles. A floor mat would do. 3. It is best that the toilet wall is not on the same wall as the toilet bowl. Where possible (weighing pros and cons), if safety is the concern than place the bed close to the wall. If the bed has side bars, the bed can…

  3. Started by kchong,

Dear Kem Chong, Please see below:- To `test' whether this is a Sha Qi or poison arrow, try to stand at the main entrance facing out of the house. Is the fire hydrant tangent to your main entrance i.e. slicing the main entrance? If no, then it is not a poison arrow. Especially if it is at one side. Does the storm drain approach your main entrance directly? If not, then this is also not a poison arrow. Perhaps, you can first confirm the above. This should not be an issue especially if (if I read correctly) that both are on different floors. In order to have a direct line, the man entrance should be on the same line of sight as the master bedroom door on the same lev…

Dear Kaushal, 1. Yes, some families use incense e.g. on a specific day of the week in their home. 2. Overall, it is not compulsory to use them especially if the air nearby is `clean' especially, if one lives in a landed property and there are trees or parks nearby. 3. There are `antiseptic' cleaners especially those used at hospitals for those who believe in them. Or the regular Dettol where a few drops are added to the pail of water. 4. The best `defense'is still living in a area (where possible) with clean surroundings. At home, try to ensure that the house has natural lighting and looks `bright'. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Cheui May, By taking the sector, North is water, this is one of the usage under a another theory known as Ba Zhi Feng Shui. However, there is some disadvantage with this theory. It is because, for those who are not sure about this application and simply take North is water thus assume that it is suitable to a person is not 100 percent correct. As there are many other factors to consider e.g. clashes, triple combinations, twin combinations, harm, punishment, self-punishment and the 24 mountain element. If all these are not taken into account, the Ba Zhi Feng Shui is as static as using the Eight Aspirations theory where SW is romance etc... If you really want to use …

Dear Kaushal, 1. More importantly, if your home has a `missing corner' you should understand what the missing corner represents. 2. This URL shows the missing corner and its significance:- http://www.geomancy.net/fs/building.htm 3. Yes, a missing corner can be `extended' by using mirrors to `increase' its depth. However, this does not necessary mean that it is the wealth corner. But rather, if a sector or area has missing corners greater than 33.3 percent; it is considered a missing corner. 4. Where possible, the location that you are placing the mirror should not be an inauspicious Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Generally, dragons are considered the most Yang of all the Chinese zodiac animals. But usually, what we have are simply figurines and there is certainly "no danger" keeping them in the South. For example if you have a display shelf, and you place a dragon in it. However, were possible as dragons `need space' it is best that they be placed facing clear space and looking out of the house or window. This is just a belief (only). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Yes, this is true because of two reasons: 1. If the weather looks dark, some consider it inauspicious to a FS audit. Furthermore, if it rains, this is not the best time of day to do the audit. 2. Lighting strikes. It can be quite dangerous standing on a piece of land and one may even be strike by lighting. 9. Started by way,

Dear Chris, Priority should be given to sleeping in a good sector. Only after this is taken care, then it would be nice or a bonus to sleep with the head facing a good direction. If one is unable to sleep in a good sector, the `consolation' is to sleep facing a good direction. BUT, all these should be taken into consideration only after one has considered the Shapes and Form School of Feng Shui. For example, it is best not to sleep on the same wall as the toilet bowl even if it is one of our good or excellent sectors. Feng Shui is a holistic approach and the bedroom should not be considered in isolation. It is more important to`fix' any problems associated in the house t…

  10. Dear Heather, 1. First priority is to try to place the bed in a good position based on Shapes and Form School of Feng Shui. 2. Here, where possible, the bedrest should have a good support and other considerations based on the above. I believe, there are already quite alot of resources on the proper placement of beds under Shapes and Form School. 3. Thus, one must remember that it is certainly `nice' to be able to place the bed in one of our good sectors but this may not be possible either due to the layout of the bedroom or even if we do so, all areas (sectors) of the bedroom may be in one of our bad sectors under the Eight House Theory. 4. My advise is to ensure that you…

  11. Started by elena,

Dear Elena, Yes, it is very common for people to ask for their immediate office to be Feng Shui-ed. Most of the time if it is the CEO or a manager, they do have a room to themselves. Here, if it is the case, this would be `easy.' Most important thing to remember is to use the Shapes and Form School. Even if it is an individual table, one should always consider using Shapes and Form. Here, for the Manager's room, make sure that his back is facing a wall or never have the door opened to his back. He/She should also have the desk supported on one side of the wall. Next watch for poison arrows and overhead beams. Considerations such as this are the most important. Next, you …

Dear Vicki, Please see below:- 2. This is because, what was briefly mentioned as South = five yellows, belongs to the Flying Star Theory. 3. But Flying Star Theory, goes further than this simplistic view. 4. Each home falls under one of the 24 mountains (or we call this 24 compass directions). 5. Usually, the relationship of the mountain and water stars are looked at inrelation to the base number. And not in isolation. This 20 year period is then looked at in relation to the Flying Star of the house, for this year. 6. The problem with Fixed Template Feng Shui either based on the `Black hat Sect' or fixing a location such as SW the romance corner is not often reli…

Dear Molly, 1. Under the Feng Shui concept `if it no longer can be seen, it no longer becomes a " threat ". This principle can also be applied to the gas cylinder. 2. Usually, it is kept away from the bedrooms either next to it or directly below a bedroom. 3. Generally, it is advised that the cable is not too long or placed too far from the source (if possible). 4. If the tank is `concealed' or placed in a cabinet, then, place it like any other liquid e.g. a water heater in such a location. Thus safety would be a primary concerned when compared to `Feng Shui'. Dear Anon, 1. There are many and varied ideas and beliefs regarding the type and number of fishes to be kept. 2. I agree that one belief is that some practitioners advise to keep fish according to the `season' of birth. 3. But, this is subject to interpretation or misinterpretation. Nowadays, most fishes bred in captivity, no longer `comes' from one season but rather, difficult to determine the `exact' season. Next, if you go to commercial outlet or shops, some of these outlets may have difficulty finding a fish that suits a person. 4. Here, you may end up buying fishes based on colors that suit you. For example, if you are a weak wood person, you may be asked to buy a g…

Dear Anon, 1. I believe it is difficult to alter the height of the fish tank. This is because, most fish tanks plus the supporting legs are high. Thus the fish tank is usually at eye level. 2. The fish tank is thus more for the hobbyist rather than activating the `water star'. 3. The water star if one gets the meaning correctly means a flat surface. More like a water position such as a pond (not stagnant) or a swimming pool. 4. Another secret ingredient, is "sound". If one has stayed in a condominum or own a koi pond with a fountain, you can hear the movement of water sometimes even when you close the door. 5. For decorattive purposes, it is quite ugly to place the fish t…

Dear Anon, 1. Most of the time, you will find two lion statues (which are standing tall and strong) on both sides of a main entrance. 2. Fudogs are more like the small remote cousins of the majestic lion or the equivalent of `poodles'. 3. This is quite similar to live pet dogs that some of us keep. Some keep dogs for both as a companion (inside the home) and if there is a garden, some keep to `protect' the house. 4. As these are beliefs, it is still acceptable to have the figurines inside a place especially a hotel. Furthermore, these figurines are not religious objects and are mere statues. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, The advise is to avoid placing it totally inside the home. The symbol should not be hung inside the house but rather, it can be hung outside the door. It should best to be avoided placing at the centre of the house. Unless of course, you want to turn the house into a `temple'. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  21. Dear Denise, Please see below:- Welcome to the forum. Under the Eight House theory, there is really not much one can do other than understand that the house is the least suitable to you. But one should look at the bigger picture. For example, what intangible force is affecting the bedroom. Here, it is best that it is one of the four good intangible forces. On the other hand if one spouse has a good intangible force and the other not so good, let the spouse with the better intangible force sleep closer to that sector. For example if the husband's intangible force is prosperity while the wife's is disaster at the North sector (where the bed is). Let the husband sl…

Dear Kem, You should make use of the three main theories: 1. Shapes and Form to look at the house and its surrounding. 2. Eight House to see how suitable, the house is to the bread winner. Plus take special attention to see the intangible force influencing the house. 3. You can check out www.geomancy-online.com as there is a Good House module. This was developed by us and so far, I have purchased three houses based on this module myself. Plus, I have generated it for every of my clients. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  24. Started by elena,

Hello Cecil: I didn't tell her I'm a FS practitioner and didn't go after any other info. It turned me off the way she bragged about being wealthy. Meanwhile, at the gathering, her husband's eye is wandering over every single woman. How wealthy can she really be if her husband behaves like that? Wealthy is when your husband only has eyes for you. LOL Maybe the practitioner should focus on helping them stay together. Just thought the center staircase story was interesting. Thank you.
