  1. Never buy a house with a toilet located at the center influence of the home. The center of the house is where all the flux of energy comes together. And if the toilet is located at the center of the home. Your wealth will leak out of the home. This will result in the family facing financial difficulties.

I would like to use the second bedroom as my study. I no longer study in school but use a lot of time in it to do my personal accounting, finances, emails, etc. There will be a computer (important), filing cabinets, and lots of bookshelves. It is in the Irritation and Death sector. What can I do to make it suitable for me? Should I have the computer and desk facing NE which is my Excellent sector? I am Strong Fire.

  3. Hello: I've been reading and looking for a solution to a main door facing east and south-east direction and a center of house toilet. Things have been very bad and going on decline since we moved here, job losses, sickness, and constant tension. After doing analysis we realized that this house was not a good choice. We have tried several remedies but things have not improved, moving is completely out of the question for now, perhaps you can suggest some remedies to help change the energy of this house. ( We are very optimistic ) but we feel there is something in this house which has been seen in different areas and at different times. ( kind of arm hair raising experience…

We are sleeping at the West sector (best of the worst) which is favourable to him, prosperity sector, but it is the disaster sector for me. We need your advise on how to improve the chi flowing in from the main door and how to reduce the work stress of my husband. Also, I have experienced sleepless nights and bad health after sleeping at the disaster sector. We cannot change the position of our bed as the rest of the sectors are unfavorable to my husband. 6. Dear Master Cecil: I am in the U.S. Here, people plant shrubs all around the exterior edges of a house (in every direction). I am very worried about planting shrubs outside the house. I do not want to plant anything and find out later on that it has adverse impact on the Feng Shui. Shrubs are "wood". Which directions are not suitable for having lots of wood? Or we should examine eight directions in conjunction with the Flying Star? Would you provide advices? Thank you. Regards, Jen

Dear George, Please see below:- Since, one party is an East group person while the other spouse is a West group person. This seems to be acceptable based soley on the Eight House concept. It is good to hear that the front door does not line up with the door of the opposite house. In general, it is acceptable for your house to be `lower' elevation than the neighbours. But, frankly, I cannot comment more; since I do not have a full picture of the house. Hopefully, the toilet(s) are not at the centrepoint of the house. In GENERAL, with the simple description, I can only provide the above `guarded' comments. Warmest Regards, Cecil P.S. >The street number is 5…

  14. Help! I am a Weak Water , 8 , Ken my direction is NE. I live in a northeast house but my bedroom is in the disaster area, my bed is facing in the SE death direction. There is a painting of water, a river flowing towards the viewer visible from my bed. My dressing room is in the Death section and my bathroom in the irritation section. Unfortunately this cannot be changed. My front door is on the NW side facing NE and not near the death or disaster section. As I live alone there is nobody else to consider. Dear Anon, Please see below:- As mentioned in my earlier reply on this subject; this is actually contingent on the Flying Star Feng Shui. Yes, it is based on the Flying Star Feng Shui. No, based on what I have understood of the concept, it has to be a reall hill e.g. as high as a 1 storey building. For tall trees and bushes; often; it is not considered as a hill (since, it still no matter what allows air to pass thru. Another senario is that i.e. it depends! Since no two situations are similar in every home). I appreciate; that in the future, it is best not to use the "Anonymous" on topics such as this one. Else, I may not post it out. The rationale is because…

Dear Cecil, Thank you for the information on Numbers. That was exciting reading & learning because I have always been told that 4 is BAD and nothing good to it. Please advice if I didn't misunderstand what you wrote in the article. If the house is completed in period 7, and the number is 4040 for example - this is actually a good number? Because although it sounds like death, being in period 7 and adding up to 8 make it OK? Thank you for your explanation. Tammy

Dear Wilson, Please below:- ?h When such a combination between different Heavenly Stem (Hour, Month, Year, Life or Conception) combines with the Heaven Stem (day), will depend on whether it is a Joint or a Full combination. A Full Combination will change the element of the stem for both pillars to the new element. While a Join will not affect any change of the element for both pillars. However, the change of element say the Day and Hour pillar change from Wood to Fire. Does not change the Birth element of a person. ie Weak Wood does not change to Weak Fire because of the combination. The combination will simply remove Wood from his chart making him weaker. ?h How …

Dear Wilson, Thank you for bringing up a very interesting question. 1. It is often highly mistaken by many in the west to associate the Chinese system of divinity, four pillars and Feng Shui with ACTUAL seasons. (When I mention the Chinese system - it should encompass those mentioned under Para 1) 2. For example, 6 years ago, some Feng Shui practitioners in Australia wanted to bring in a new brand of Feng Shui. For example, reversing the Ba Gua system etc... 3. But all these can easily be refuted as the Chinese system can withstand all these criticisms or new fad ideas. 4. Many of the Chinese system are: 4.1. highly symbolic 4.2. the lowest common denominator is the Five …

Dear All, Looks like there is another Feng Shui Emporium to choose from...(This one is from China) I like to emphasise that Geomancy.net is a Professional Consultancy site and from day 1 does not believe in selling any physical products. It is our strong belief that selling such things can *cloud* one's mind or specifically - have a conflict of interest in our professional service. Nowadays, it is interesting to see that there are more competition in the sale of commercial products. And this spells good for those who are interested in all things Chinese. For those who want to obtain things like Chinese ancient coins or wind chimes can do a SEARCH at http://www.yahoo.com …

Dear Wilson, The day of the Heavenly Stem is the stem which determines your ba zi element. It will not change under any combination. ie. if the Heavenly Stem is Wood, but a combination between Day and Month changes both element of the Day and Month to Fire, your birth element is still Wood. However, how weak or strong your Wood is will be affected by the various changes in the five element that are found in your chart. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear George, Please note that this general assessment is strictly based on Shapes and Forms with no reference to personal ba zi (date/time of birth). 1. One good thing about this layout is that the toilets are at `safe' positions (sharing an external wall) - therefore, they cannot be at the centrepoint. 2. The `major' dislike is the staircase at the centrepoint. But, this is not a major problem - more of an irritation. 3. I like the layout of this staircase:- http://www.newurbanist.com/ac2110.htm BUT not the layout of the toilet i.e. the bath-tub at ground floor is close to the centrepoint and the second storey (level) bath-tub is equally not well placed. 4. The stove fac…
