Dear Hoa, 2. Toilet is also the one major water leak in the home. Thus, it is why when a toilet for example is located in the center of the house, it considered a major wealth leak. So because a toilet location is deemed as least beneficial, it is often good when bad stars fall in a toilet location. It will help to dispell such bad influence. Just like other less important uses for rooms such as storeroom etc. Since you don't use it that much, if bad stars falls in such rooms, it will not harm the people there as no one lives there. As such, if you image if there the sector is good but it is located at the toilet influence, how much wealth can you expect to get? …

Dear Anon, Typically, there are numerous factors to consider beyond merely visualizing one's Ba Chai (Eight House) Feng Shui. The Eight House Theory is relatively fixed, and the essential aspect of this theory is: How appropriate the house is for the breadwinner. It is more related to the time spent in a sector and the optimal facing direction of the bed-head and the study/work area. The Key success factor in Feng Shui is to understand and apply the 12 Habits of Feng Shui as follows:- Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: My house has 2 toilets in the north-east sector which is considered m…

Dear Thanh, 1. Based on the Compass School method of Feng Shui, it is best to avoid (especially the toilet bowl - sewerage pipes) located exactly at `defined positions'. 2. Under Eight House theory: it is best not to have the toilet bowl at true compass directions i.e. North 0 degrees, NE 45 degrees, East 90 degrees, SE 135 degrees etc.. 3. The rationale here is that should one of these sectors is a good sector, this may not be auspicious. 4. If we go `deeper' using the Flying Star analysis; then; it is best to avoid having it at 15 degree intervals e.g. 0 degrees, 15 degrees, 30 degrees, 45 degrees etc... 5. I personally feel that using a small round mirror (may not be e…

Dear Liz, Thanks very much for sharing with us your advise:) Yes, ideally, (if possible), it will help. I remembered also in a recent Feng Shui audit of a house, the toilet bowl (Yes, the toilet bowl) is directly above the main entrance door. The owner also encountered `financial' problems. Fortunately, the house has several toilets and after the toilet bowl was removed and covered up, things did turn up well for the owner. Simple things like this may look trival but important. The lesson here is thus to `plug' the weakness of a home. Or I mentioned that if there is a leak, please plug it first. Many people, have the wrong notion and instead of first curing the `disease',…

Dear Peck Wun, 1. I hope you can understand that there are alreay available resources on this. Plus, there are lots of examples and even actual cases of how centrepoint was derived in attachments by uses. 2. For a lay person who wants to understand better, then go to this resource: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm Look at the example of how, one can copy the layout; glue it on a cardboard, cut-it out and try to balance it on a pin. The centrepoint is all about: the centre of graivty. This is particularly possible if the house has lots of indents. But if the house is `L' shaped, then divide the home into two or more rectangles. Dear Anon, 1. I was pondering over your question. Reading it and replying other questions and re-reading it. I literally end up `scratching' my head - not so much as how to answer this type of question but rather, how to do it `effectively'. 2. Anyway, paying homage to a sector or Feng Shui based on life associations or aspirations is not gonna work - for many of us. 3. It does not matter if the `career sector' is in the bedroom or as you had mentioned the toilet. In my opinion, it does not matter. When we apply Feng Shui, we try to apply Feng Shui that can work for most of us. And this is one aspect `paying homage' to a sector or sector Feng Shui.... does not seem to wor…

Hi Mr Cecil Thank you for your advice 1) I cannot place the altar at the wild card position as there is impossible to partition at that place 2) I cannot place at the shoe rack position as really need a shoe rack there. 3) I cannot place at position B as I was told this place cannot be be block or olace with furniture etc 4) So the most possible place maybe is what you indicated as place A 5) May I know if the height of the altar cupboard is 147cm height x 32 cm wide , is it ok? This is custom made by an advice of a monk ten years ago and from the fengshui ruler, it is good luck measurement 6) Is it ok if the left side of the altar is cover with curtain as the left side …

Dear Anon, In my opinion, it is best to look at "fatal" problems under the following perspective: 1. Often, fatal problems especially those that lead to financial loss does not come alone. For example, a toilet at the main entrance is considered as - already a handicap. This is akin to one having a fractured leg. 2. It would become worse especially if the house does not fit the breadwinner. Plus other additional leaks. Such as additional toilets at the centrepoint etc... 3. Another issue is that a toilet has connecting sewer and water pipes. And especially if one is living in an apartment, it is difficult or impossible to move a toilet. Therefore, when I mentioned `fatal…

Dear Anon, To be honest, if it cannot be physically moved, not much one can do. Under the commonsense approach to Feng Shui, just make sure that usually the sewerage pipe (which is located in the kitchen and hopefully not directly above the stove) is in good repair. The commonsense, here is that should such a pipe burst, the kitchen area, items may be contamined with bateria such as e-coli and others. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: My cooking stove is immediately beneath a toilet bowl upstair. What does this imply? What are the remedies without moving the cooking stove. Also the bathroom and toilet upstair is quite busy .

Good day to everyone, Being new in this site, lately i found some mistakes in dividing the house room. Needs your advise or any cure. Beforehand my wife and I shared the same Gua(kua) #2. First, at present our master bedroom is located in the SE part, elevated(with door opening facing north) which is the Spook area and we sleep head on south. Three(3) Bedroom in line from SE-NE whereas SE-master bedroom with adjascent bathroom/toilet. The 2nd bedroom, elevated(door facing East)located in the East, and the third bedroom floor almost level with the house flooring(door facing south)near NE but the guest toilet/bathroom is situated in the NE and the toilet bowl on the NE c…

Unfortunately, those are two inauspicious influence to have in the house. 1. Toilet close to main door isn't auspicious as the Qi is like dirtied by the toilet Qi. 2. Hi Ceciil may I ask if having a toilet in the middle of the house really bad fengshui? How can we tell if the toilet is indeed in the middle of the house? For example, this floor plan here.

Dear Sophia, Yes, a toilet that can be seen from the main door is asthetically not appealing - whether it is based on Feng Shui or not. It would be good to close the toilet door when not in use. But if it always opened, then the shower curtain is a fabulous idea! Alternatively, closing the master bedroom door is another alternative. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Note Appended by Cecil: No attachment found. Hi Master Lee I am renovating my house and is thinking of changing the toilet door opening to better utilised the space. Attached is the picture of the current layout and proposed layout. The new layout will allow me of move my washing machine to the corner, but however, the toilet door will be facing the fridge amd stove. Please advice if it's advisable to do this? Any concerns? Or is it better to keep the existing layout. Thanks. Ricky Ho

Dear Anon Frankly, there is really not much one can do but to apply the concept `if it no longer seen it will not become a threat'. Thus, close the toilet door, when not in use. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anthony, I agree with you. For a small one room flat, there is not much one can do in the structural re-arrangements. In fact, for your apartment, the greatest influence is based on your block where your one room flat resides in. This block therefore, has the bigest impact on your home Feng Shui. Warmest Regards, Cecil

I am not recommending this layout (see attachment). But in Singapore; please refer to bedroom 3 toilet door area; some owners have slanted the toilet entrance at 45 degrees. And installed a bi-fold door. Personally, this is acceptable, but I don't really like it.

Dear Veronica, 1. Frankly, it is best to keep the toilet door closed when not in use. And keep the toilet clean and airy. 2. To `side-track'; for the toilet, from a Feng Shui point of view; toilet qi should be `flushed' away or dissipated as soon as possible. 3. And ideally, at least one side of the wall should share an external wall. If the toilet has ventilation glass at this side (external wall) it is best to open them. 4. For your son's bedroom, make sure that the windows are opened and the room is well ventilated. But if he usually sleeps in an aircon environment, closing the windows is ok. 5. This not necessary but, personally I use three sets of Honeywell and 1 Am…

1. Frankly, the two most commonly cited cases of concern with illicit affairs are: 1.1 Having a water position to the right side of thedoor. 1.2 Having two stoves in a home 2. As the mirror, will still reflect TWO persons' logically, there is no "lamp-post" or a third party reflected in the mirror. Thus the concern is more of having a photo behind the bed with 3 persons on it. Otherwise, what you had mentioned is not commonly mentioned that reflects "affairs". More likely, the concern is of having bad dreams or nightmares! Anonymous wrote: Hi Master, Thanks for your reply. Dear Janaki, From a Shapes and Form point of view under Feng Shui, yes, it is inauspicious to have a toilet door facing the main entrance. This is usually a fundamental flaw and difficult to correct. The only option to REDUCE the effect is to see if the toilet door can be `partitioned' away from the view of the main entrance. Try as we might, sometimes it is difficult to `cure' fundamental flaws in the house. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Astrid, Thank you for your sketch. I have a better picture now. 1. It is preferred to `close' the toilet door when not in use. 2. From the layout plan, it seems that a partition cannot be errected as it may make the passage narrow. 3. For a mirror, one may have to becareful - as we did not look at the sector; and if under Flying Star, it is an inauspicious sector; one may inadvertently bounce back twice the bad luck. Thus, if you want to place a mirror, here, you can still do so; but you may have to monitor for the next three months.. on this. Warmest Regards, Cecil A warm welcome to the forum. Just moved into apartment in Munich/Germany, where the main door face…
