Dear Anon, To be honest, if it cannot be physically moved, not much one can do. Under the commonsense approach to Feng Shui, just make sure that usually the sewerage pipe (which is located in the kitchen and hopefully not directly above the stove) is in good repair. The commonsense, here is that should such a pipe burst, the kitchen area, items may be contamined with bateria such as e-coli and others. Dear Sophia, Yes, a toilet that can be seen from the main door is asthetically not appealing - whether it is based on Feng Shui or not. It would be good to close the toilet door when not in use. In fact, for your apartment, the greatest influence is based on your block where your one room flat resides in. This block therefore, has the bigest impact on your home Feng Shui. I am not recommending this layout (see attachment). But in Singapore; please refer to bedroom 3 toilet door area; some owners have slanted the toilet entrance at 45 degrees. And installed a bi-fold door. Personally, this is acceptable, but I don't really like it.

Dear Janaki, From a Shapes and Form point of view under Feng Shui, yes, it is inauspicious to have a toilet door facing the main entrance. This is usually a fundamental flaw and difficult to correct. The only option to REDUCE the effect is to see if the toilet door can be `partitioned' away from the view of the main entrance. From the layout plan, it seems that a partition cannot be errected as it may make the passage narrow. 3. For a mirror, one may have to becareful - as we did not look at the sector; and if under Flying Star, it is an inauspicious sector; one may inadvertently bounce back twice the bad luck.
