hi, My toilet is located in the east and the toilet door is facing my dining area..I have a small hallway/walkway between the toilet door and my dining area, which lead to the kitchen. My dining table is not in view of the toilet, dining table is facing my kitchen island table which is located in the east( next to the toilet).I have read somewhere that we can put a door curtain( is the curtain required to be from top to bottom or half curtain alright), plants ( any kind?does it have to be as tall as the door?)and a screen/room divider between the toilet door and dining area. Was wondering if the screen/room divider are required to be solid screen( solid wood/plastic …

Dear Max, Toilet Feng Shui is actually related to "Commonsense" then Feng Shui. Thus if one wants to call it: "Commonsense approach to Feng Shui". This is because one day, while I was driving on a highway; this person was saying that whenever we flush the toilet (bowl), germs "fly" all over the toilet. Even if the our toothbrush was a distance away; it will still contain some-form or type of baterial e.g. e-coli etc... Makes sense? Rite? Well, whathe asks us to do? Buy histablets to frequently dis-infect our toothbrush in it. Much like thosedenture cleaning agents! Therefore, does this not equate to "Toilet Feng Shui" where toilet qi is said not to be good? We…

  3. 1. Frankly, there are so many unknowns; on such a simple question. 2. For example; in order for wealth leak; it starts from even simple things as : Location, location and location. 3. Even if the toilet at the center-point is considered a leak; often in order to have things like wealth leak(s); usually a home would most likely have at least THREE major leaks. 4. We all know that if we live in an apartment, there is no (like the British say "no bloody" way) thatwe move the toilet/ it's plumbing etc... 5. Thus for practical reasons, try to find other "wealth leaks" especially major ones and fix them. Then one will have a higher success rate. 6. But a real pity is that…

Further to what I had mentioned:- 1. In the past, I mentioned, just imagine; you have a family of 8 adults and teenagers. 2. If you own a saloon car which may seat a maximium of 5 persons, tell me, how are you going to squeeze another 3 more family members into this saloon car? 3. Eight House theory is similar to this situation: Either you can or cannot. 4. Like the British always say: Bloody hell, then get yourself a large MPV that can seat 8 persons (full stop). 5. You can't just tie one family member on the roof, another stuffed into the bonnet and drag another family member right?

Dear Kenny, Overall, perhaps, the observations made may be `coincidental' unless further analysis is done e.g. using the Flying Star to analyse each sector i.e. NE or South in detail. It also depends on the built-up of the home i.e. the building in relation to wind movement. This is also affected by surrounding buildings (wind blowing from different directions and the high and low pressure points of the location. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Rich, In my view, it is generally advisable to refrain from applying the concepts of the Eight Aspirations or Life associations, such as SW equating to the romance sector, etc. Moreover, if the toilet happens to obstruct our romantic endeavors, it signifies a definitive end; we are indeed in a precarious situation! Let us consider an alternative viewpoint. Frequently, the toilet transcends the mere notion of the "THRONE" or the WC, which I refer to as the equivalent of the toilet bowl. In reality, numerous master bathrooms not only feature showers but some even include jacuzzis and bathtubs! Envision this! I firmly believe that in this world,…

Dear Anon, It is best for a toilet to have some qualities of `Yang'. For example, it should be (if can be bright - especially use tiles / porcelain bowl/accessories that are not too dark colored.) Where possible, it should be dry. Thus more Yang than yin. In the toilet, there is frankly, not much one can engergise it. Under the eight aspirations or life aspirations, SW = romance. This theory is too general to be of use to most of us. Reference material for yin and yang concept: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-yinyang.htm Under Feng Shui, other than applying Yin and Yang concept, the next proper way of applying enhancements or cures is thru the Five Elements…

I had an apartment a couple of years ago with a toilet/bathroom in the dead center. I suffered from the worst health in my life and had to have a major operation. Once I found out about FS I realized we have to move asap. I've not had the health problem since (of course the operation helped. LOL

Dear Chee Kiat, In my opinion, there is really not much one can do in such a situation especially since this is the building. Since the toilets are there, it can be quite different from a home especially if the ratio of toilet area is much smaller than the entire building and in most cases, the toilet bowls may not be exactly at the centre or ideally should occupy one external wall. (if possible). What is more important here is that where possible, your office's main door should not be facing the toilet entrance. I believe this is not so; in your case. It would be better if the toilet has double doors or an extra door; leading into the male/female toilet or an individual…

Dear Anon, Basically Feng Shui is about maximising all area. Toilet in Center of the house is one factor in the analysis. Though, this isn't considered the best house to have, but as long as you fix up and improve all other luck areas, you can thus offset this inauspicious influence. Frankly, there is usually no way you can change the room into another room due to the way the pipes are laid. This is especially so for an apartment.Frankly, there is very little cures except to improve other areas of your luck. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Anon, To be honest, some homes or apartments have bad Flying star numbers at the centrepoint of the home, especially under Period 7. Therefore, in general, a toilet is exactly not a major issue for such homes. Instead of placing those mirrors or screens or false wall, in my opinion, it is simply to leave it as it is. And, if possible, try to maximize or enhance qi or neutralise qi in a home in other areas. From a practical point of view, few if any nowadays, place a mirror at the toilet door. And those false walls is often very cumbersome to get in and out of the toilet when there is limited space. And most importantly the toilet if possible should be dry and ai…

Dear Anon, Under Feng Shui, the Flying Star analysis `superseeds' the Eight House theory. One must first understand what the Eight House Theory is. One purpose is meant that one should spent more time at an auspicious direction. *JOKE* Imagine, if we apply the above theory, that we need to spend more time at an auspicious sector, does it mean that we need to find an excuse for ourselves to go to the toilet. To the extreme, should we create a bookshelf in the toilet etc.. For the East toilet, we should also look at it from a global picture i.e. look at the entire layout plan. For example, it is inauspicious if the toilet is at the East and next to the main entrance door. I…

  15. Dear Master Lee, I am going to purchase a flat, the possession of which will be sometime next year. The flat looks good but people have told me that since there is toilet in the NE sector of the house attached with the master bedroom, it is inauspicious. I will appreciate if you could hwlp me with your views on this. Thanks, Vivek

Since it is often not possible to change the location of a toilet (if any), then you have to maximize luck from elsewhere. Anonymous wrote: Is it consider bad feng shui if the toilet is located in the North-West direction? If yes, what can be done to improve the feng shui? Thank you very much for your attention.

Dear Carrie, Under the Eight House Theory, as the compass directiors are sub-divided into 8 sectors, it is best that the toilet bowl is not located directly at the exact South-East compass degree. Under the Flying Star Theory, the compass directions are sub-divided into 24 directions. Again, it is best that the toilet bowl does not fall within any of the compass 15 degree increments starting from 0 degrees, 15 degrees, 30 degrees.. etc... There are two viewpoints with regards to the toilet:- 1. Majority of the practioners felt that this is a `Yin' location. 2. Some view it as a location where water `exists' in a house. And water is akin to a waterposition in the house. U…

Dear Master Thanks for you advice. The house is a Period 6 house (built around 1968) and my best direction (prosperity) is north west. The house front faces South east, the back is towards north west and the toilet is in the centre of this north west sector next to the back door. I have been lighting a candle in the toilet and placing water in a wooden bowl inside as well. Will this help? Also, can a iron bell or windchimes help to activate this section of the house for me? I hope you can advise me further. Thanks again. Regards Peter

Dear Chee Kiat, 1. No, you do not need to turn on the table lamp light. 2. This area has to do with `Shapes and Form Feng Shui' rather than saying that the table is wood and lamp is fire. Warmest Regards, Cecil

How can i maximise my wealth sector to benefit me financiallyor minimise my losses (as financially i have not been doing well). If your wealth stars falls in your toilet or storeroom area, you will not be able to maximise or activate that wealth luck. In fact, if the wealth stars falls in your toilet, it will symbolise a leak of your wealth. One method is to place a chinse hulu (bottle gourd) usually to help minimise this is to attempt to symoblically trap the some of the wealth before it leaks out. Dear Mabel, Please see below:- Frankly, it is quite difficult to answer your question, strictly from the perspective of SW = Romance sector. Under Flying Star Feng Shui, often, sectors that have #4 or #3 (are related relationships) together with the combination of #1 water .... relationship issues.. Under Flying Star Feng Shui, MS #8 is the mountain star. And, activating it can often help in relationships. Under Flying Star Feng Shui, WS #7 under Period 7 and WS #8 under Period 8 etc... has to do with water wealth position(s). Perhaps, it may be a coincidence that SW may have some or a combination of #3 etc... One of the cures in Feng Shui is to place a bottle gourd i…

Hi Master Lee, I realised that my master bedroom toilet is located in the SW of the house. I read online that the possible solutions are not to use the toilet, use of plants or put windchimes. As it's not that possible that we stop using the toilet, are there any other remedy? Can we just make use of plants? Thank you.
