  3. Dear Simon, The following are points to consider on the display of ornamental Japanese swords:- 1. Like any other swords, it should not face the main entrance door. 2. It should be displayed with the protective sword casing even if the sword is blunt. 3. Ideally, it should be displayed in a display cabinet. 4. The best location to display the ornamental sword is in a `separate' room. For example, in a private office, a `person' room . 5. Avoid displaying it in the living room, dining room, family room. As mentioned above, it should be in a " private " room. If it is displayed under para 5 above, there may be a possibility of relationship problems. Finally, in my opinion…

Yes, so long as the pointed triangle roof is not aimed towards a unit that is fine or ok. As for some of the units facing the private estate (landed properties); the master bedroom, 2nd bedroom and even the living room can be seen facing the pointed roofs of the landed properties.

In the past, some geomancer may rely on a row of six-coins tied with a red string or a hulu or bottle gourd. But if one's bed is say directly above a stove; a relatively cheap and safe alternative is the smoke detector. 3.1. For example, the row of six-coins would simply melt in a fire; at least; the smoke detector may even "call you". Some …

Dear Anon, 1. Feng Shui encompasses various aspects, including the environment, the site, and the interior of the home. 2. All of the aforementioned factors have an impact on Feng Shui. 3. In my view, there is no problem with airing shirts and pants, especially if they are not excessively soiled. This is a common practice in the real world. 4. Given that not all of us live in an ideal environment, as long as a room is adequately maintained, I personally do not see this as an issue. 5. Many of us have read Feng Shui books that advise against placing a TV set facing the bed, as it is considered inauspicious. The rationale is that when one sle…

  11. Dear Samantha, Samantha Tieu wrote: I've been reading about Feng Shui and learned that my husband and I have KUA numbers (mines is 1 and his is 5) that just are not compatible. For example, the best position for my bed placement is North. However, according to the Feng Shui book, North is his total loss sector. I can't seem to find any type of remedy for this, should we have separate beds so that we have the best placements individually? Would this affect the marriage for feng shui purposes? This is a questions asked many times. Just today, I am already replied two other post. So please refer to this previous post for the answer:- URL: http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum…

Further to what I had mentioned; 1. the key success factor is to fine tune towards one's home or office Feng Shui. 2. Best to analyse each 20 Year Flying Star chart of any sector in relation to especially the yearly stars. Some even go as far as looking at the monthly stars: especially nothing "problem areas". 2.1 For example, if we already are concerned with a particular sector e.g. East where there are MS #5 with WS#9 with Base #5; then in that year, if the #5 fell into that sector and other nasty stars e.g. #5 or #2 or even fire #9 falls into that sector : which is a bedroom then take greater preventive measures. 1. Avoid / get rid of back stabber (xiao ren) Under…

Dear Spencer, 1. Yes, I totally agree with your comments. 2. When Dahlia Park TOP, the condo was like a second home as I had clients in nearly all the blocks. 3. What strikes me was that even if these are condos, as you had mentioned, they are firstly freehold; 4. In an exclusive private residential area with both low rise and even all condos in the area has a height restriction or often called `semi-low' rise condo apartments. Most likely because of airport restrictions on the outer-zone. 5. I always felt peaceful, within this private residential encave. Nowadays, it could even be worse-off is to stay close to embassies especially the American or British as often these …

  16. Hi, Here are several important considerations to keep in mind: 1. It is advisable to reassess the overall configuration of the house. 2. As Robert pointed out, a missing corner is defined as one that exceeds 33.3 percent of the house's total area. 3. Often, without careful examination, one might mistakenly identify a protrusion as a missing corner. 4. As you noted, it is not practical to install mirrors on both sides of every wall to compensate for a missing corner. 4.1. For further information regarding the significance of a missing corner, please visit: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/building.htm. 5. One effective way to mitigate this issue i…

  17. As mentioned previously; even if one needs to plot a 9-grid system; usually, it should follow the cardinal points of the compass. This resource was posted to this forum many years back by a user..... It shows that even in a 9-grid system on a perfectly rectangular or squarish home; it may have to be tilted correctly to the proper compass orientation. Thus, as mentioned, many geomancers; inclusive of myself prefer the pie chart method to this 9-grid system...

Dear Josephine, Yes, usually, it is best to check for `leaks' in the house, first. It would be nice if we can enhance but often, we forget that we must first fix-the-leaks. From a Shapes and Forms point, there are several leaks in your home. (Frankly, I have not used other tools, it it involves more anlysis - due to a busy schedule). But from a Shapes and Forms and forms view, there are several leaks:- 1. Narrow hallway, which is on one side of the house. 2. Markings A to B:- The back patio sliding door. The path of qi from A to B is a direct path. And not auspicious. (Especially if the door is opened). In addition, because of this long corridor, there is supressed Qi. An…

    1. Please see attachment. 2. Marking in RED "A' is an actual beam. And in Chinese metaphyics, this beam can exert negative qi downards to the ground. 3. See marking GREEN "B". The overhead support has it's load transferred to the side wall. Thus, it should not be considered as a beam as defined under Para 2, above that caused sha qi. Note: While it is true that both marking A and B are supported by horiziontal support ceiling; marking B unlike A is also supported by vertical or side wall. And the main load is forced down towards the side-wall.

  23. Dear Master Cecil, You mentioned that the correct method to find a suitable house is using the Personal Element thru Bazi Life Reading but I notice that most of yourSample Report is usingKua Number. Dear Carina, Please see below:- If you can provide me with a rough sketch e.g. a graphic file attachment it would help. It is very difficult to provide u a `detailed' comment such as whether a corner is at threat or not just on a few sentences. For heat, or heat on the wall and you can still feel it in the evening, there is no Feng Shui method to measure how `inaupicious it is. Where possible, no direct sun light is best or if possible, keep the bed away from the affected wall if possible. So long as the room temperature is comfortable, this is ok. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  25. Dear Cecil, Thank you so very much for your reply to my question about the beams. If I choose to use the bamboo flute remedy, should the flutes be attached lenghtwise or across the beams? (Does it matter?) And should I use a red cord on the flutes? How many flutes per beam? I have heard two. I so appreciate your time in responding to my concerns. Thank you, Sheila
