  1. Started by yaely,

Dear Yael, The truth is that Feng Shui theories do not really have an answer to the application of Feng Shui to a classroom. However, as a guideline, for the placement of tables and chair, it should be placed so that light entering the windows do not pose glare to the table tops. Usually, tables should be arranged straight rows and columns and the teacher sit directly facing the children. Other than the above and creating a more yang environment e.g. you can display work done by the children on the walls or noticeboards to increase their esteem. The rest will have to depend on the method of teaching and creating an interest in their studies based on individual teaching m…

  2. Dear Anon, In my opinion, graphic illustrations are `flat objects'. On a Personal Computer, it lies `flat' on a person's screen. Contrast this with a physical object e.g. such as the corner of a table. The corner of a table is considered a poision arrow. Therefore, unless it is a three dimension object that points directly towards a person, I sincerely believe that the graphic illustrations do not have an impact on a person. Warmest Regards, Cecil Lee

Dear Anon, `Arrows' and even forks are used not really to divert Qi but to neutralise Sha Qi. For example, if one has a circular staircases visible from the main entrance door. The ideal situation is to use a screen. But it is not possible to screen off from the rest of the house e.g. living room. Some Feng Shui practioners will use e.g. golden arrows i.e. a pair to neutralise it from (two)different locations. Forks (as in spoons and forks) can also be used for the above purpose. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  4. Started by Laraine,

Dear Laraine, The main important point to note is that even if you can see certain `pointed' arrows at your main door, they may not be `pointed' arrows. Based on what you have mentioned to me, some of the objects you mentioned most likely are not `poison' arrows. This is because, when standing at the main entrance door and looking out, we can see quite a range of things. What you need to remember is that: 1. It is not a poision arrow if it is not `aimed' at your main entrance. If I am not wrong, the TV aerial on your neighours house is placed on their roof and in such a situation, unless it `bends' down and like the barrel of a gun, aims at your house, this is not a `poi…

Dear Joe, Gong Xi Fa Cai! (Mandarin) (Kong Si Huat Chai! - Hokkien) From a Shapes and Forms Feng Shui perspective: 1. Mountain with water painting =============================== If the painting has a "mountain, water image" e.g. a flowing water running down from a stream, then, often, some Chinese homes would place it next to the main door. Therefore, when one opens the main door, the painting e.g. on the side of the wall would allow "water" (symbolic) of wealth to flow into the home. But make sure that this type of painting is not placed on a wall facing a balcony or window. As wealth may inadvertenly flow out. 2. Purely Mountain painting (Or painting with birds flying…

  6. Never buy a house with a toilet located at the center influence of the home. The center of the house is where all the flux of energy comes together. And if the toilet is located at the center of the home. Your wealth will leak out of the home. This will result in the family facing financial difficulties.

    1. There are so many other concepts, why only consider: based on the Five Element theory? 2. Some concepts either logically makes no sense under the Five Elements concept or hard to apply strictly based on the such a concept. 3. For example; if a cabinet is made of wood but painted in red. Some consider it as a fire element because say the entier cabinet is in red lacquer. While some other person may argue that it is a wood element as the entire cabinet is really made of wood. 4. Therefore, usually another concept is applied, here. This concept is none other than "Symbolism in Feng Shui". 5. Thus, symbolism looks at the overall picture. For example, it does not matter wh…

  9. What if the areas I have in mind are all pernicious areas, that function as: living, dining and work space? I thought since all fall in my disaster, death and spook area, I might need to insert some yang. Or am I going in the opposite direction?

  10. Dear Major Sono, 1. Yes, in Feng Shui, one has also to rank the importance of the various concepts and theories. 2. In general, without looking into detail, the layout plan viz-a-viz things like the location of the main entrance, toilet locations, it would be good to have the President's office located at a `solid' location protected behind by e.g. walls ... 3. Thus you are not wrong to say that an office or room should be diagional to the main door. In addition, the placement of the table in relation to shapes and form is best. 4. Only after the above is `satisified' then you see if you have the luxury of facing a good location i.e. `nice to have'. But not compulsory. Wa…

Dear Marie, Usually, more importantly, the people who will missed one's loved one. And it is more of the love. Locally, it is a tradition, for some to even buy an altar (if the home does not have one) or not necessarily an altar but a specific table to place one' loved one (urn). And where possible:- 1. This should not be placed on the opposite wall of a toilet 2. If possible, the table (or generally we call it the altar table) should not be facing into a bedroom. Otherwise, a good location is around the living room / family room area. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi Mr Cecil Lee I am an earth ram and my boyfriend (live in partner) is a water rat. I read that we are the "best to avoid partners" for our astrological signs. Is there any way to block the bad luck? We've been together for almost 2 years now and we are both inlove and sincere. I just got scared of the incompatibility of our signs. I thank you for this wonderful website that you have created. It is very useful for us. We recently bought a property and its facing south and the mountain view while across the street on our back part is the manmade lake. I just cancelled the transaction as soon as I read the Feng Shui courses you offered on this site. I wanted to seek consul…

  14. Dear Sherry, Sherry Shao-To wrote: A couple of years ago we heard some strange noises on the top of our roof above our master bedroom. At first we thought it could be mice, but realized they were birds. We figured they had built a nest up there and my husband wanted to get rid of it. Well, it's a two story house and even with a 10 ft. ladder, the roof was far from reach. Therefore, we just ignored it and eventually it went away. Well, this year the birds came back and made their home at the exact same placeon our roof above the master bedroom again. I can't see them because it's so high.So I'm curious does it have a meaning and are these birds good lu…

  16. Is it true that i should not attend any wake within 100 days of my parent's passing? What is the reason? Is it not good for the friend's family whose wake I want to attend or not good for me or not good for both parties? Or its OK to attend the wake as long as the other party is OK to do so? During my mum's wake recently, a friend whose grandma passed away within a month, attended my mum's wake as I said its OK to attend and am not particular about such .

Dear Catherine, Generally, whether or not a date is auspicious or inauspicious depends on lots of factors. In terms of ba zi, luck is always changing every 10-year, 5-year, yearly, 6-monthly, monthly, daily and hourly. So each person's luck is different from day to day. It is very difficult to tell you for sure which day would be good or bad for you. That is where the general tung shu comes in. Every year, analysis is done to generally tell you when which day is aupicious or not. So most likely what you have read from comes from something similiar. A lot of this also depends on how supertitious and how much you believe. To me anyway, Weddings is joyous occasion. Usual…

Dear Cheui May, 1. The `advantage' you mentioned is the belief that the higher the ceiling, the better it is for such a `configuration'. 2. The best `agent' is to use a poster bed e.g. with a cover e.g. lace or cloth on the top of the bed. 3. If the bed is properly positioned under Shapes and Form and in terms of air or Qi disbersement i.e. avoid stale air e.g. at corners, it is normally acceptable situation. I believe that this is considered a `secondary' problem or situation. There are far worse problems than the above. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  23. Dear Mr. Lee, After working in retail for so long and just having a baby 18 months ago, I decided to open a small maternity boutique four months ago. With all of the experience I have gained, and careful research, and the lack of maternity stores in this city, I was sure to be successful. I know it takes time, and word of mouth is the best advertisement, butit doesn't seem like it's picking up at alland businesshas been awful. I haven't been able to pay rent for the past twomonths, and with only one income right now, we had to get rid of one car and now we're selling our house. Frankly, a statement such as this is either placing it thru your personal feelings or by "chance". As mentioned previously, on this same topic; your statement has nothing to do with the way Authentic Traditional Feng Shui has been used to analyse a home as well as checking to see if a water position may be placed there. Thus what you mentioned, is purely based on "personal feeling". Quote: Paramjeet K. wrote: Is placing a fish tank at the dining Room advisable ?

Dear Robert Lee Goodmorning to you. In another word by using the luo pan to audit a house I need to check out of the day is suitable to me by using ba zi tocheck outof the day which is suitable to me but then I have no knowledge in bazi. Whatis anotheroption do I have? May I ask you another question. To audit a house do I have a choice by not using compass or luo pan to find the direction of the house and can I proceed directly to the breadwinnerlocation. Does it look professional! Thank you as always. With warmest regards Sophia Chia
