Dear David, 1. Water position includes: any fountain or fish tank. 2. In addition, colours such as blue, black or gray also represents water element. This is particularly so, for the interior of the home. 3. A water position outside of the house often is excluded under the above definition. Water position outside the house can be based on Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. Warmest Regards, Cecil

According to the Eight House theory, my prosperity sector is the South sector, and I belong to the East group, and so is my wife. Water usage for the whole house comes from a 500 litre water tank at the second floor. Most of the family members' activities are on the first floor, and the second floor's area is only 1/4 of the first floor's. However, the water tank on the second floor is at the South sector of the whole house. Understanding that water is not good for the South sector, what can I do to correct the problem? I thought about hanging a Swarovski window ornament on the second floor, to counteract the bad chi due to presence of water. Do you think this would be …

Dear Cah, So far, this combination of stars happen to be under the 20 Year Flying Star, Period 8, West 2 & 3. The entire story, here is that under P8, West 2 & 3; unfortunately sector NW has this MS 7 WS 9 and BS 9. Thus it is NOT exactly true to say that this is a location where we can enhance. BUT rather, a location that we SHOULD neutralise bad stars. Why? #9 or the purple star 9 is = Fire element And in addition to this, this sector has twice the number of #9's (x 2) Furthermore, the combination of MS7 with WS9 reacts resulting in sexual problems. Thus, you or the Master is correct to try to introduce "Water" into the sector. Water can help to drown or re…

These are some of the considerations:- 1. Time Dimensions and Flying Star #numbers 1.1. Current significance of star numbers: 1.1. Under the Flying Star Feng Shui, there are a total of 9 numbers or 9 grids or (9 star ki). 1.2. We are now under Period 8: 2004 to 2023. 1.2.1 According to the Flying Star Period; the reigning number is suppose to be very auspicious. 1.2.2 The major stars under the 20 Year Flying stars are the #Water and #Mountain stars. While many geomancers treat the base star (or palace) star as of lesser significane. 1.3. Therefore since we are under Period 8: 2004 to 2023:- 1.3.1. #8 = Current Prosperity = Very auspicious often considered as current luck …

Dear Terry, Terry Law wrote: Can we activate the water star 8 when the annual 5 yellow or 2 illness star is there? Yes, you can still activate the water star 8. Water star usually is activated with water. So water feature will activate the water star 8 making ie stronger. This star will actually harness and drain the annual star 5/2. You won't activate the star 2/5 unless you add fire or earth element influence in that sector. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research.

  9. Hi Master. Is it possible to activate a #8 water star in a center palace? According to I-Ching no water is allowed there, but perhaps there is another possibility to enhance the star ? Or is the star lost? Thanks

Dear Cecil, Thank you for this wealth of information. I can see that the flow of Qi can be a very illusive thing and why it takes many years to develop into a functioning Feng Shui practitioner. My dilemma is choosing a good frontage for both my boyfriend and I since we are equal as breadwinners, unfortunately he's an east facing person and I'm a west. Since we both have 0% water, I guess a N, W or NW frontage with good Shapes and Forms would be the answer. Cheui May

Dear Dragana, Yes, I do agree with you. It is not wise to convert it to a sewerage tank especially if it is at the front of the home even if it is underground. More importantly, it is also best not to have sewerage pipes running under "living areas" such as under the bed. One can view this article that I had written many years back on the dangers ...http://www.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-under.htm In my opinion, keeping it as a water tank would definitely be a better choice Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Ramaa, In my opinion, every location is a `wealth sector'. And it is important to know what is good or bad at this sector. If one uses Compass School (Flying Star) Feng Shui, each sector has three elements. And depending on a sector and location, we can either try to neutralise a sector (if it has bad stars) or enhance the sector. For example, if a sector has bad stars such as #5 or #2, then we try to neutralise these elements if they create an imbalance at that sector. If a double 7 is found at the main door. 7 represents metal. And since this is the frontage of the house; we can further enhance this metal sector by introducing e.g. a water feature say at the garde…

Dear "UnKnown", 1. Usually, the placement of a water positions at certain locations, need further analysis (if possible). 2. Placing a water position can be analysed under: 2.1 Is there a poison arrow? As mentioned in previous messages, Hong Kong Feng Shui practitioners have a `habit' of advising their clients to place a fish tank e.g. at a window to counteract a poison arrow or Sha Qi of e.g. a lone lamp post. This is to neutralise the Sha Qi. 2.2 To `activate' water star or enhance Qi. Such as the use of fountains or water positions. Here, some Feng Shui practitioners either:- - Use their `feelings' to suggest a location. (Closer to the Shapes and Form School) - Others …

Dear AM, 1. Yes, I do agree with you that if one is doing Feng Shui on your own, it would be difficult to apply everything universally. 2. This is because no amount of text-book can address `unique' situations. 3. I remembered some years back when a user of this forum wrote that houses in Sweden have their kitchen in an `island' or pumping which is `contrary' to Feng Shui. 4. It boils down to experience and this is where a FS practitioner or `Master' can make the difference. 5. Your situation is not unsimilar to many condominums where some units have their main entrance door facing `land' while their `frontage' or balcony faces water. 6. So far, I believe no book has full…

Dear Michele, 1. Usually, there is no issue if the collection cistern is in the form of a tap. 2. It should be treated as just any other pipes. 3. But more importantly, it should not be located at the centrepoint of your landed property. Nor allow it to criss cross underneath the house. For a landed property, it is equally important that the sewerage pipes (where possible) run at the back of the house and out of the house. From what you had mentioned, therefore, it does not seem to pose any problems. Warmest regards, Cecil

    1. The two stars #3 and #4 are associated or share the same significance. 2. Thus, not only just the annual #4 but also #3. 3. Common sense says that if one's water feature or position is of a certain size; it is not practical to shrink the water in such a feature too drastically. For example, if one has a fish tank. It is not practical to half-the water in such a water position. 4. Under the Five elements concept; so long as the water feature has all the five elements: then there is balance. For more information of what makes a well balanced water feature comprising all five elements: Resource: http://fountain.geomancy.net Para 2.1 to 2.12

Dear Seeker, In my opinion, it is best to re-confirm both the centrepoint and compass direction of the house. (Period it was built - Period 7?) Is the house rectangular in shape or otherwise. If you have a layout, perhaps, you can scan it in. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Cahaya Harapan, Cahaya Harapan wrote: I want to activate water star in front of my house so I bought a small waterfall. I confuse about the flow of waterfall, flowing outside or inside is the right one ? You should always remember that water is considered wealth. So ideally water should try flow inwards. To symoblise wealth flowing into the house. Should you have any water fountain, then it water should not spurt outwards. Else it wouldbe like wealth flowing outwards. Hope that helps. 22. These are some of the considerations:- 1. If you are looking at a home / stack / apartment from a Feng Shui point of view:- 1.1. Feng Shui is based on two major schools:- 1.1.1 The Shapes and Forms : The landscape, the site, the building or block, the stack 1.1.2 Compass School: Flying Star and Eight House 2. The familar lingo: "LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION". 2.1 Not only half the battle is won, but rather the FULL battle is won, when a property has good: Location, location and location. 2.2 And this L, L, L falls under? The Shapes and Forms Feng Shui (full-stop). 3. Thus, if one has excellent L, L, L no need to even consider the other Compass School Feng Shui to squeeze …
