General Help

Seek General Advice from Master Cecil Lee

  1. Hi, I am just learning about feng shui in the hopes of improving my life, but love life in particular. I seem to have many bad chi objects in the room like a tv, bookshelf and mirron facing my bed in different directs and have a computer and candles in my room. What can I do to neutralize the room to promote good chi? I have added rose quartzes, red candle and a pink crystal in my SW corner. Incidentally, that is where my bed is too. Help!! Thanks in advance! Elaine

Dear George, Please note that this general assessment is strictly based on Shapes and Forms with no reference to personal ba zi (date/time of birth). 1. One good thing about this layout is that the toilets are at `safe' positions (sharing an external wall) - therefore, they cannot be at the centrepoint. 2. The `major' dislike is the staircase at the centrepoint. But, this is not a major problem - more of an irritation. 3. I like the layout of this staircase:- http://www.newurbanist.com/ac2110.htm BUT not the layout of the toilet i.e. the bath-tub at ground floor is close to the centrepoint and the second storey (level) bath-tub is equally not well placed. 4. The stove fac…

  3. Hi Mr Cecil, I would like to create a small plant garden outside my door, along the corridor. Can i check if i could put a small water fountain outside? I used your software on "whats my Gua". My "Gua" is No.4 and if i'm not wrong, my house is facing SE. Show i put the water fountain in A, B or C? (Arrow pointing is the water flow). Thank you very much!

I've recently located to Sydney from Melbourne and am renting a 1BR apartment. It seems like I've been having a string of bad experiences happening. I just started looking at Feng Shui recently but it seems like everything about my place is bad for me. My kua number is 1 and my auspicious directions are SE, E, S and N. The floorplan of my apartment is kind of like a partitioned rectangle (I've attached a floor plan that I made). The toilet is in the SE (my Sheng Chi direction). I can't position my bed in any of my auspicious directions. I could put my bed in the SE, but i would be against the wall of the toilet and my bedroom's door would 'cut' into my bed.

Dear Sir, I am a West person and my GUA number is 2. I have recently shifted to a new office. By using the 8 Mansion ? Ba Zhai theory, I am sitting at the NW corner but my table is arranged that (due to space), I am facing the SE square. I can only move my chair to make sure that I am facing NE corner while I?m doing my paperwork. But when when I do computer, I am facing the S square. The entrance of the office is at the NW corner, at my left side. There isn?t much can be done because I am the secretary to my Executive Director. Both of my bosses belong to East group as they are born in 1955. His GUA number is 1. My questions are: 1. How can I maximise my good direction…

I have a small kitchen and recently added a small metal shelving unit. Due to space constraints I had to put my cats' food and water bowls on the bottom shelf. I am concerned that the shelf above the "feeding shelf" will act as a beam or otherwise create negative feng shui for the cats. Any advice?

Hi there, I was born 29/04/1975 and my new house was built in 1985 roughly, and we are doing renovation to the house. My question is that our front door faces South - excatly and I feel that our "mouth-of-the-house" is North.... this does not do well for my best directions What can I do to make this house we have just bought better for our family? I would also like to activate our wealth area.... Not sure where to begin? We are also sleeping under beams... its a thach house. We wanted to put a water feature at the front door, however it is in the south so I would guess not a good place. Your advice would be exteemly helpful. Great site buy the way

Hi Cecil, Due to my compressed kitchen, I have no choice but to position my stove(with theknob)facing the Main Door (with a brick wall in between that separates my living and kitchen area). Since there is a brick wall that prevent a person standing at the main door to looking directly to the stove, is this position acceptable in feng shui ? If not, how do I overcome it without movingand changingmy stove ? thank you.

The bathroom in the master bedroom is in the wealth area. I'm ready to paint and wanted to paint it a light golden color. Floor is tile in tan, beige, peach tones. It gets lots of light. Now I just read that green is the color it should be painted if it is in the wealth area. HELP! Petra.

Appended by Cecil: Please read a very recent instruction or guideline posted by Robert Lee on how to attach a file. Currently, I am quite busy, but later on will standardise the file size limit for attachments in all forum conferences. This relook at the file size attachments is to provide for a reasonable file size limit, also. Dear Mr. Cecil, Please show me how to attach a floor plan to a posting. I tried to cut it from my Word document but I can't past it to a message. Thanks.

Dear Janet, Thank you for your e-mail. Please see below:- In traditional Feng Shui, powerlines are considered the " water element ". (Which is equivalent to watercourses or streams). As you had mentioned that the powerlines are 1000 metres away, it should thus be considered as " water " flowing along your North East/ North West. To clarify:- 1. Aas you mentioned that your house faces south, does it mean that the main entrance door is at the South? 2. Is the back of your house at the North? At the " micro " level, do try to get an ordinary compass and take a compass reading of your house. What you need to do here is to go a plot of empty land and take a compass bearin…

  19. Dear Cecil, The NW sector of my house layout is partially missing. Whatever is left are where the toilet bowls are. How badly is this going to affect me as my kua no. is 7? My wife's kua no. is 4. What can I do to remedy this? The North sector is where part of my fridge and (hidden) washing machine are and part toilet where the sinks and shower areas are. I understand that this sector will affect our career and income. What can we do here to improve our career and income luck? Then, there is a very puzzling doubt. We had placed a square indoor pond in the SE sector, left side of main door (South) since we moved in. Not only did it not bring us wealth, we were almostsu…

Dear Master Lee, Sorry I could not send you the attached pictures. For some reason the site kept crashing on me. I am trying again. I had originally asked about the fire place. If you only see just part of it when you enter the main entrance is it also okay? As for the pic that I am attaching the bathroom is in the middle which is not too good for me. But from the picture if I get this house to face SW, then the master bedroom will be in the East area. Will this still be okay for us or should we get it to face NE then our master bedroom will be in the West area. I just want to know, what is most important that we should look at first. Where the house is facing or how the…

Hi, I have a sedimental souvenir I bought from Paris. It is a miniature Eiffle Tower replica made of metal. While it is not super pointy at the top, I am wondering if it is a bad Feng Shui object or it has to be placed at a particular place since it is metal. I've seen similar replicas placed in a French Vietnamese sandwich shop and they are doing extremely well. Hard to believe it is bad. Anyway, my apartment is a rectangular shape with living room on the left upon entering, then open kitchen in the middle and then 2 bedrooms on the right. Should I stove it away in a box or any suggestion where to place this? Also, not doing quite well with job hunting. What's one small …

Dear Mr.Cecil Lee We currently live in a period 7 house, and the main door facing E2. My husband was born on sept.17, 1960. Now we are in period 8, would this house become very unlucky to us? I bought the report on home flying star analysis from you and I become confused. In your report, it says that the E2 (period 7) facing house is suitable to us regardless of the bad numbers which the main door has. Now my question is which is more important, the eight house theory or the flying star theory? I am looking forward to hearing from you.
