Dear Anon, In Feng Shui practise, there always some who pay more attention to `detail' while others feel that this is secondary or not as important. Unless one has done further analysis i.e. using the Flying Star to determine that there these sites are favourable. As metal wind chimes may inadvertently increase the `metal' element at these locations and make it inauspicious. Dear Srikanth, I am trying my best to understand your question. You mentioned that there are anomalies under Eight House. As the Eight House is personalised to an individual. It is best used to find out a person's best personal direction. It is also used to find out the degree of suitabiltiy e.g. if the death / diaster line falls at the main entrance door, the house is considered the most unsuitable for the person. If I am not mistaken, if it is written somewhere, most likely, the author should have instead say that whenever star #2 and #5 meet (or viz-a-viz #5 and #2 meet), this is already considered an inauspicious water and mountain star. If one is doing a manual calculation and find that with these two stars, there is say a mountain star at this sector, do check the calculations again. And if you find somebody in your city make sure they teach traditional feng shui and not the fast food feng shui called black hat tibetan feng shui since BTB is not real feng shui and will cause more harm than good. Dear Anon, 1. Where possible, try to obtain `old' Chinese coins. It is plentiful as it is now being produced commercially (replicas) all over the world. 2. Where best, traditional Feng Shui uses these `old' coins. 3. In Singapore, our new batch of $1 coins have a trigram profile and I recently used it in my home `to test' it out. Dear Anon, There is much truth in this statement: 1. Grass or grass that is regularly `trimmed' is the near equivalent to a water position. The logic behind it is clear. Grass allows the space to be flat and clear of obstructions. 2. If one plant a tree, in no time, it will outgrow its size and become large. It is inauspicious particularly to grow a lone tree on the side of a house. A lone tree in Feng Shui implies that the tree can harbour a spirit.
