Seek General Advice from Master Cecil Lee

  1. 1. Traditionally, a weak yin earth person's - one of the best careers has to do with the fire element. 2. Food technologist in general can be associated with earth element. If one is a weak earth person, then as a food technologist, it is like adding earth to your weak earth. Here, under ba zi analysis, the career is acceptable, but just an average career - i.e. akin to placing food on the table. Quote: Anonymous wrote: I am a weak yin earth person based on the analysis. 3. hi Mr Cecil Lee, Thx for the prompt reply... Recently, I had consulted a fengshui master on my bazi. According to him, I am a strong metal person. Hence, I should look for careers that are related to the fire element. Is that true? Why is that so? According to you, gambling itself is associated with the earth element. So what will happen if I am in this industry? Furthermore, for the sports gambling industry, I act in the position of a consultant, so does that make any difference? And how abt the interior design industry? hope you don't find me too troublesome. This is because I really need some advice at this point of my life. Your advice will be greatly appreci…

Dear Newsgroup Guest, Frankly, if Feng Shui is to be applied, a home has to be Feng Shuied first before such advise is given. Looks like you may have to use your intuition. Or, often, seek opinion of your spouse and even family members as to which colour; everyone like or prefer. In my opinion, the amount of light filtering thru to this long corridor should be taken into consideration. For example, if the long corridor is often `dark', then, it makes more sense to use a lighter coloured overlay carpet or carpet that can bounce off more light. Then dark coloured ones that often absorb light. Another consideration (not Feng Shui)is that unfortunately, light coloured `heavy'…

Dear Oleta, 1. Frankly, and in my opinion, there are no hard or fast `rules' with regards to the color in a child's room. 2. But rather, it depends. Here, it depends on the location of the bedroom. For example, if the bedroom is facing a west location e.g. windows with direct sunlight that comes into the room. Then use cooler colours or a neutral colour such as white. Here, pink etc.. is not quite appropriate. 3. Some Feng Shui practitioners believe that the bedroom should (I use the word can) be painted to suit the child's Ba Zhi or element. This is quite a common advise provided by many FS practitioners. However, as I always believe, it depends on the level of particip…

Dear Chai, In general, without taking into consideration other factors such as the current `Luck Pillar season' and other factors e.g. the House Feng Shui in relation to the Flying Star of a sector:- For a weak metal person, for personal self-enhancement, the best element is Earth element. The second best element is Metal element. Earth colour - yellow. Metal colour - gold or white. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  7. Dear Cecil, According to the Flying Star for the East frontage house, you have two proposed solutions: 1) Make use of Fire to destroy and control Metal (this means I should paint my front door RED) 2) Make use of Metal to destroy and control Wood (this means I should paint my front door WHITE) So what color should I paint my front door? Red or White? (FYI, I'm a Strong Water, and I have Zero Fire in my element chart. So probably Red is a better choice. What do you think? Many THANKS in advance to you. Hoa

Dear Hoa Luong, Thanks for your many clarifications. Yes, overall, red is considered an auspicious colour. From your information, I personally feel that it is OK for you to continue with the red painted frontage doors of your convenience store. And this should not have any adverse contrast with the `water' grey colour. Overall, red is indeed an auspicious colour for business. In particular, for example, if it has brass ornaments on it (not compulsory thou). Warmest Regards, Cecil

  10. Dear Hoa Luong, Hoa Luong wrote: I'm a strong water. A few of my inauspicious days this month are fire element which is my wealth color. It was suggested in the auspicous dates section that I should wear my favorable elements on the inauspicious days. My favorable elements are wood, earth and fire. My reasoning is that I should wear earth color on an inauspicious fireelement day since earth reducesfire. Am I reasoning correctly? Generally, when a day is inauspicious, it normally means that there are either some conflict between the day and the year and with your ba zi or suitability. So it is not necessary directed directly at your own individual element or suitability. …

In addition, base star #8 is the current prosperity thus bring good relationship and networking luck. Overall, despite your ba zi element: You can consider painting the room cream or beige. As you are a strong metal person although earth colours are suppose not to besuitable for you:- Earth colours are: BRIGHT Yellow, cream or beige But because this sector or room has verygoodearth (mountain) elements, you can seriously consider paintin…

  14. 1. In my opinion, what comes first depends really on when one gets to know Feng Shui and applies it. 2. Thus, there are cases where many after understanding the concept of the Eight House and Flying Star, have sought to analyse a home, first before purchasing it. 3. Thus, if one has good knowlege of both concepts, many persons or by seeking help from a professional FS practitioner can help to identify which homes are better overall. 4. Thus your question sounds simplistic: " The chicken or the egg, first?" Instead of, going into a deep blackhole to "argue" whether the chicken came first or the egg? There is such thing as apply both concepts together! 5. Both the Gua …

  15. Dear Cecil, I'm bidding for a house that was originally built in 1940. However, this house was just recently renovated from top to bottom. The original house was completely gutted inside. Dear Cecil, I always thought my house direction is SW2 because the whole frontage of my house faces SW2. If I stand in front of my front door or stand behind the front door with a compass, the direction is also SW2. But then I came across your answer to a question that asked you how to determine the direction of a house. Your answer was to stand in the center of the house with a compass aiming the center for the front door. if I do that my house direction is S2. So is my house S2 or SW2?

  21. Dear Anon, 1. Ideally, these figurines should face an `open space' such as an open window, the living room. 2. It should not be placed on the same wall as the toilet. 3. It should not face the kitchen. 4. It should not be placed in the bedroom. 5. It should not face the toilet or a bedroom door. 6. It should not be placed in the kitchen. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Hoa Luong, 1. Besides Shapes and Form Feng Shui, the other form of Feng Shui is the Compass School Feng Shui. 2. In this aspect, the Compass School Feng Shui consists of both Eight House and Flying Star Feng Shui. 3. Usually, when applying Feng Shui, as mentioned earlier, both Shapes and Forms and the two compass schools i.e. Eight House and Flying Star Feng Shui is used. And usually and for practical reasons, how suitable the hosue is to a person (in general) should be based on e.g. the Eight House. 4. After having covered all the above points of consideration under Feng Shui i.e. Shapes and Forms and Compass School; we often then use Ba Zi for the interior of the h…

Thus, do check that the unit and block you are interested in is not next to or facing this building. 3. Alternatively, avoid the unit or block if it is the A and E ward or a ward for contagious disesase or during an emergency, this ward caters to those who have unknown or unidentified, ailments. 4. Thus, if the hospital has any of the above, try to stay as far away as possible! Even 500 metres or more... 5. For other buildings i…

    1. Frankly, authentic Feng Shui has to use tools like Flying Stars etc. 2. Otherwise, you may have to do like everyone else; based on your acumen and feelings in the placement of your bed etc.. 3. When you place your bed-head, you should feel comfortable with it despite having 2 doors and 2 windows as it is very difficult to visual what you had mentioned in writing. 4. If your bed is placed against a window, often, the window(s) are not opened and curtains are drawn.
