Dear Hung, If one applies the Compass School of Feng Shui: Eight House (Ba zai) and/or Flying Star Feng Shui the basis of this School has to do with the magnetic compass and not geographical compass. Thus, for any home / office /building /site investigated via the Compass School of Feng Shui, a magnetic compass has to be used to determine the magnetic north and other cardinal points etc... Not to sound too technical, usually, without doing detailed FS assessment, the acceptable locations is in the living room area (where there is clear space i.e. water star position.
