  1. Dear Master, I'm currently renting a condo which is on the slope of Loyang valley. To get to the main door of my unit, one has to first climb up a flight of about 6 steps and down 2 flights of stairs (13 steps followed by about 4 steps). The long stairs leads straight to the main door. Main door faces the stairs coming down. It faces Northwest (looking out). Inside the unit, the main door opens directly to an open terrace which is the back of the house. This terrace (looking out) faces SE 127'. This terrace leads to the back garden and onwards to the rest of the valley (pool and other units). So the whole condo is built in a circle, around the side of the valley. T…

  2. Hello - first off, thank you so much for providing your insight and wisdom. I have enjoyed reading your analysis over the years and am finally moving to a new home where I will be able to remodel the entire interior layout as I see fit. The only thing set in stone is the facing direction (NE1), which I am totally happy with. Given my freedom, I was curious of what you thought of my analysis and more specifically, where you think I should place the living room, bathroom, dining room, kitchen, bedroom, office, storage, and workshop. What is listed on the floorplan is just how it is currently laid out, but none of it is set in stone. Thank you again and have a blessed start …

Hi, the seller left the garden shrine (a four faces god altar) at their front garden and refuse to dispose it at their own. The seller claimed that there is nothing situated on it. What is the proper way to dispose it? or i can just hack it off as it is cemented on the ground.

  5. Hello Cecil, I live in a 2 storey house. My garage is part of the construction of the house. Do I count the garage in my flying star/xuan kong map for the main floor? My bedroom is above the garage on the second floor. Which floor do I use to do the flying star grid? Do I use both and put cures on both floors? Thank you.

Dear Steven, 1. Thanks very much for the information and most of us will look forward for the future phots of the antic bells. 2. There are quite alot of `inventions' or `cures' or enhancers in the market. Overall, I believe bells are near eqivalent of wind chimes as they make noise. Some Feng Shui practitioners prefer the use of grandfather (or pendulum) clocks as it makes a constant `tine' or tick tock metal sound. 3. In Hong Kong, some practitioners or manufacturers also come up with things like Qi detector. Once again, many thanks:) Warmest Regards, Cecil

Good day Master, I have a few questions to seek your advise. 1. My home has "two" entrances. Based on feng shui, which one should be consider my "entrance" 2. At the first main entrance, my main door is partially blocked by my neighbour home. What should I do to make more Sheng Qi ? I understood that right angle from the wall causes Sha Qi? In this case, my neighbour home has a 90deg wall pointing at my entrance. 3. From my living room, i can see opposite block roof corner. What is good to fix this Sha Qi? I've attached picture for your help Master. Thanks a million.

  10. Hi Cecil, Thanks again for continuing to provide such a great resource. I hope this question is general enough. I've read that a bathroom near an entry door is considered less desirable for feng shui. However, a common use case in some parts of the world is to have a bathroom and laundry room close to a side/back entry to clean up and change clothes in before entering the living areas of the home, e.g. after yard/garden/woodworking/farm/automobile work, or to have easy access to a bathroom while working on these kinds of projects. This prevents mud, leaves, sawdust, engine oil, etc from being tracked into the living areas of the home. How would you bal…

Hello, I am in the process of buying a new home and I think I picked a bad house lot. I still have time to change it, so can you help me pick the better one? The land marked in red that says “MINE” is the lot I picked. The only bad thing about this one is the house number is 4009. I read that 4 means death and 9 means forever (death forever). If you add 4+9 you get 13 which is unlucky in western culture but lucky in China. 1 + 3 equals 4 which means death again. The direction is southeast which is a lucky direction for my husband and I. I am the year of the sheep (1991) and he is the year of the rabbit (1987). I read that our lucky directions are East, Sou…

Hi, i was running a report report on a house number on a property I want to purchase. The house number is 11800 and it was build in the 90’s and remodeled (roof shingle replacement, flooring, etc) this year. The report using the two periods are drastically different. Can you tell me if that changes anything with the remodel? And is house number a big deal? Or would I rather consider other major factors? Daisy

  16. My husband and I are interested in giving our front porch a much needed makeover. I have been interested in Feng Shui for a very long time and I definitely want to do this right. We removed the bush this afternoon and would really like some advice before moving forward. Our front door faces northeast (34 degrees). I am thinking of painting the front door orange and adding some type of water wall and possibly a pergola. I would greatly appreciate any direction provided. Thanks!

Hello Master, I'm looking to purchase a new home and came across this property and wanted some advice on if this will be an auspicious home to buy? I have asked several people with conflicting advice. Some say the water in the back of the home is not good Feng Shui but I've also read that if there's a water view in front, this could be consider the frontage? There are mountains on both side in the distance and the ocean is about 5 mins away driving. The river in the back/front of the home actually flows into the ocean. If I bought and remodel this house for period 9, should I have the auspicious double 9 facing the river or the other way around? It is the home…

In some customs require to walk over the clay stove before entering new house by all family members. And I notice in the YouTube that some boil water on the stove inside the house after finished crossing over by family members. 1) Can we drink the water after boiled or we just let the water evaporate itself after continuing boiling? 2) Do we throw away the clay stove after completed the moving in ceremony?

  20. Hello, I am about to purchase this semi-detached property but it has a rather non-typical layout (image below) with a tilted walkway which created a cut corner in the master bedroom. In terms of Feng Shui, is this good or bad? The living room has only 2 slim but high windows, I am thinking to hack the wall and create a large 2 panel doors opening to the yard to create some sort of flow, would it help?

Hi, Master Lee, I read about your reply a number of years back to a query re the auspicious number of steps. I'm not sure if the total number of steps we have at home is auspicious or not. We have a 3-storey house. From ground floor to the second floor including the landing is 14steps and another 14 steps from second floor to third floor ( also including the landing ). That's a total of 28 steps. Is that number auspicious? Any remedies, if not? Thank you so much, Master Lee! Here's hoping to hear from you soon. Sincerely yours, Jona

Dear Anon, For a strong metal person, the most favourable element is: Water (blue, black or gray). The next two favourable elements are Wood (green or brown) and Fire (red, pink or purple). For a strong wood person, the most favourable element is Fire (red, pink or purple) as fire element will help to exhaust wood. As fire element is increased, earth (yellow, cream or beige) can be used. Next best favourable element is metal, as metal inturn will help to exhaust earth. Actually, you can use the free comparison report at www.geomancy-online.com to determine these. Warmest Regards, Cecil
