As for the ones in the hallway, perhaps you could put some small pot plants with trailing branches among the shelves to soften the sharpness or a couple in a pot on the ground to somewhat "hide" the shelves. If not may I suggest you do as if the colors chosen are not complimentary to your element you could have all sorts of problems. IMHO orange seems very strong for a bedroom. Too yang. Dear Cecil, Thank you for your response. The lot is a residential lot. My husband and I are looking at buying a house, and we found a house that we like very much. It is on a good direction (according to the Eight House calculation) but the lot is irregular shaped with the back smaller than the front, its dimension: 77ft wide at the front and 44ft wide at the back, 1 side is 148 ft long, another side is 138ftlong.
