Hi I forgot to address a few things you mentioned. Yes he has seen a therapist and is on medication. You were right, he is a very sensitive man, and yes he lacks energy. Dear Bill, Apologise for the late reply. I just got back. -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Sunday, June 06, 1999 3:37 PM Subject: Flying Stars and my house built in period 6 Yes, Flying Star requires a clear understanding of the various foundation, otherwise you will not be able to apply them. For this portion. It depends on which theory you want to employ them. Currently, there are 3 different theories for this. If you take the default theory (being each period is 20-years), then 5 is being assigned to the base star. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Forum Users, Usually, under conditions of YIN, there may be " playfull imps " or spirits. They usually mean no harm to anyone but can bad cause "nightmares." Medium sized to large trees plus additional things like a wind chime may increase the YIN at such locations and attract such playfull imps to be around. Too many concentration of trees are considered a too YIN environment. For the benefit of new members here, my next door neighbour's bungalow has at least a minimum of 5 or more wind chimes located at the West or YIN location. This means that the likelyhood that one can get `mental problems'. True enough, this next door neighbour always carry around a video camer…

Dear Sean, First of all, let me welcome you to the forum on behalf of the users here:) Please see below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Thursday, May 20, 1999 4:28 PM Subject: My personal directions There are a few Feng Shui theories and concepts. Here, you have found out that your house is a " South " House. You should not look at the zodiac animal i.e. NE or North. For a South House, North = Longevity NE = Disaster East = Prosperity SE = Health S = Excellent SW = Irritation West = Spook NW = Death Here, preferable that you sleep with your HEAD facing any of the good directions. Dear Cecil Thanks for your clarification. Please note that:- to begin wtih, my purpose is more to support/boost my career rather than to counteract sha-qi. but, as time goes by, whenever i look at my little aquarium, i feel peaceful. so, yeah, its a hobby to me as well now. i must go check with aquairum people if guppies and gold fish can 'live' together. i find guppies very colourful and lively. i will check that out. thanks. my aquarium is only a small one, 11/2 by 2 by 1 feet, with small gold fish in it. i place it at the SE sector along the SE-East wall. is this alright? smallness of the aquarium is not a problem, is it? remember in my earlier emails way b…

Dear Joe, Although colours are of `secondary' importance in Feng Shui, from my own opinion, in the past, I `brushed' aside the notion of wearing colours that suits us. But looking back, I really find no harm in chosing clothes that suit a person. Like the saying goes " no harm playing it safe ". When I next shop for clothings, I will continue to buy shirts and trousers that suit me. In fact so far, my favourite colours since young turned out to be the colour that suits me. I personally believe that as white stands for the Metal element, it can also be considered a neutral colour. Therefore, for a person of Strong Metal element, in my opinion may continue to wear white or …

Hi Everyone L and R Theory of Feng Shui, There has been some confusion on the `accuracy' of the Pillars of Destiny. Let me elaborate:- The Pillars of Destiny has a few parts:- 1. It can determine the True Element of a person e.g. Strong Fire Element. 2. You can cross reference the period in which your element. For example, in a particular period, what is the strength of the element for the period and does it have any effect on you. For example, if you are a strong wood element person, if 1999 has a season of strong fire, this is considered inauspicious. If you have a Pillars of Destiny done for you, you can then understand this and better control your `environment' i.e. f…

Dear Margarita You apply the 8 house theory only to your unit. It is important that your bedroom and front door do not fall in your death or disaster lines. In your bedroom have your head pointing to one of your good directions in order to draw in good energy. Do not have your bed next to a bathroom or toilet wall.It is inauspicious for the bedroom door to face the kitchen sink also. If your front door is in one of your auspicious directions, good for you. This will be a good apartment for you provided all other areas are suitable. Cheers Glyn

Thanks for your advice. But I am still at a loss as to where I am going to put the furnitures. I am a west person, and I am attaching an MS Word file to show you my apartment's layout (pretty much drawn to scale). The sliding glass doors lead out to a patio which overlooks the swimming pool. I was thinking of putting the desk against the kitchen's counter so it has the view of the pool, but that will make me face east, which is the direction of death. Plus, there really isn't much room in the layout so that I could avoid putting the desk in the center of the room. Any suggestion will be very much appreciated.

Dear Bill, If your local book store does not have the books, you can order it from Amazon.com. (Alternatively you should be able to purchase it from other major cyberbook stores e.g. Barnesandnobles.com. Books by Raymond Lo:- 1. Feng-shui and Destiny by Raymond Lo. I think this is one of his first books. I call it a "classic book" because it is clearly written and in general gives you a basic understanding of all well known Compass School methods of Feng Shui. Such as the Eight House Theory, a short write-up of Pilalrs of Destiny and a " dab " of the use of Flying Star Theory and the use of the three coin method in I-Ching divinity. Other of his books 2. Feng Shui and Des…

Thanks Cecil. We are willing to take the risk of "experimenting". We will go with the less auspicious NW3 chart. I think this is less auspicious based on my comparison on the two charts. Cecil, could you take a look at both charts and confirm that this NW3 chart is indeed the less auspicious one? TQ. By looking at my attached layout sent earlier and the FS chart (NW3), could you advice on what is wrong with the placement of things in the unit that cause us misery? Specific questions on the FS chart: Main entrance: NW sector, my Spook sector, base star 8, mountain star 7 and water star 9 (two auspicious stars). There is a closed wardrobe here (please refer to my attached l…

Dear Yael, Please read below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Monday, May 10, 1999 10:07 PM Subject: living in a yacht Personally, I have not read any materials about Feng Shui for yacht. Also, because for the yacht, your directions are often changing, realistically there is no way you can even apply Flying Star or Eight House to your yacht, your boat is often changing directions. If you do want to apply Feng Shui to your yacht, the only possible theory is either Yin & Yang, Colours and Five Element. This means you can apply things like say if you are a weak wood, then obtain colour of…

Dear Airvrm Teo, Please read below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Monday, May 10, 1999 12:10 AM Subject: Flying Star These are 81 unique interpretation which has been analysed and used by masters as standards explanation. Most of the interaction are pretty simply and direct as such the results can be deduced without the base star. But for certain stars, where the influence is not very clear, the base star has to be considered as it could change the influence of the two stars. The orginal messages are in chinese verses. This is because 6 is a star which is need not be auspicious if it…

Dear Arivm Teo, Please read below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Sunday, May 09, 1999 11:58 PM Subject: Flying Star The most important is first to take note of the interaction between the mountain vs the water star. This normally produces the influences such as illness, or etc. After that, when the two stars are analysed, to make it even more comprehensive a comparision to the base star is necessary. Certain combinations does not really create any major influences as such only with the base star can the details be known. Not sure if you are aware, we have recently revised the flying star…

Dear Users, We are pleased to inform you that the latest revision of the Flying Star report v6.10 is available. Enhancements:- ============== 1. Explanations of what each section of the detailed Sector Analysis Chart. 2. Five Element Analysis module has been improved & fine-tuned for more accurate analysis of the stars. New analysis has taken the element strength's into detail. Providing a better proposed solution. 3. Triple combination which includes the Mountain Star, Water Star to its base star. Dear Jo, Frankly, currently I do not see any `harm' in installing a wall uplight next to the painting based on `intuitive' Feng Shui. However, normally again this should not be a problem other than if you have done a Flying Star chart and found that the sector is unfavourable or where `fire element' can do damage to that sector. Other than this consideration, it is acceptable to have the uplight. Please see below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Thursday, May 06, 1999 8:42 PM Subject: Is it OK to have a carp painting and a wall uplight beside eac h In my opinion, it would not be necessary …

Dear Wilson, I agree with Glyn's findings. -- Quoting Glyn -- A wooden shelf on top of a bed is akin to a column or beam above a person. This will only weigh down a person and in Feng Shui, is considered inauspicious. Glyn has all the hallmarks of an excellent Feng Shui Practioner and time to come will eventually become an Excellent Feng Shui Master:) Keep up the Good Work Glyn:) Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi, Apologise for the late reply. As this message is posted as an anonymous, we do not receive the posting to the mailing list. Most of the books I know of are in traditional chinese. I have yet to come across any Feng Shui books in simplified chinese. You will have to source them out yourself. The books written by Cecil are currently in available in English. Sorry if we are unable to help you on this matter. Warmest Regards Robert Lee
