Dear All, Here are some questions which we can use as a guideline:- 1. How useful is Shapes and Form Feng Shui? We can make use of Shapes and Form Feng Shui to review our home with regards to the strengths and weakness / threats to our home. If we are choosing a new home, and take full advantage of Shapes and Form FS, we may get a Quantum Leap in Feng Shui LUCK. (This area is worth understanding). But do remember that it is easy to understand but difficult to apply in some instances. 2. Go on the Defensive... Even if a house is considered an EXCELLENT house (by virtue of its EXCELLENT Shapes and Form), this does not mean that such a house does not have a `defect'. The rul…

Dear Rameshwaran, To cure a missing corner at SW, ideally, it would be best to place a long mirror on one of the walls at SW to symbollically extend it. As you have mentioned, another method is to place a windchime overhead at the corner ceiling to extend it. It is better or preferred to use a 6 rod hollow metal windchime than a wooden windchime. In addition to the above; you may want to consider using Flying Star Feng Shui and apply it to your home. In some instances, depending on the period your house was built and direction of main entrance; there can be sector influences relating to romance `problems'. NOTE: Not all houses may have such combinations but if there are,…

Dear Bansari, Bansari shah wrote: We have same wooden beam in my kids room too. which one works better 1) bamboo flute or 2) wooden support. Thanks for your advice. Bansari Generally, these are the two common ways to cure the beam problem. Both are equally effective. So can't tell you which is better. However, from design point of view the two wooden support looks less like feng shui cure and can add some decorative effect. However, if you really want the most effective method would be to build a false ceiling. From feng shui point of view, if you can no longer see the threat it no longer becomes a problem. So really, the most effective is to build a false ceiling to co…

Dear Anon, In my opinion, what you have mentioned can at best be based on intuition or feelings as Feng Shui looks further than just the toilets. Feng Shui should be used at a holistic level to look into various areas or sectors within and external of the home ... Thus, just by looking at the toilet and giving a brief comment on it is can be quite a difficult task. It is like doing guess work. Although I agree that, for the toilet, if you can; why not close the toilet door without placing wooden wind chimes. The placement of objects are usually looked at using proper FS tools such as Flying Star to analyse the praticular sector. Thus if we are not using these tools; we w…

Thanks for your advice. But I am still at a loss as to where I am going to put the furnitures. I am a west person, and I am attaching an MS Word file to show you my apartment's layout (pretty much drawn to scale). The sliding glass doors lead out to a patio which overlooks the swimming pool. I was thinking of putting the desk against the kitchen's counter so it has the view of the pool, but that will make me face east, which is the direction of death. Plus, there really isn't much room in the layout so that I could avoid putting the desk in the center of the room. Any suggestion will be very much appreciated.

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: About 4 months ago, i had my sitting position at work changed to this current one where it's facing a big square pillar. Didn't really thought much about it until recently. But looking back at these 4 months I realised that my projects so far had been chocked full of obstacles and barriers. All of the projects, even the smallest ones, had a problem or another. Basically nothing went smooth and I don't know why. I've become more aware of the pillar in these few weeks and I am beginning to believe that all my obstacles at work were in some way due to the bad feng shui created by the pillar. It is likely the corner from the square pillar on the…

Dear Yeow Kwang, Frankly, often, if one does not have an office room of our own, we are limited by the placement of "system-furniture". For example, many times, quite alot of bosses, who believe in Feng Shui, would quietly in the evening invite a FS practitioner to his/her office to have it Feng Shuied. And, often, there is a posibility that the table can be shifted to an optimum or near optimium direction. In particular table facing the "prosperity" or "excellent" sector. However, many of us do not have the luxury of doing so in a shared office. Thus have to ride on the luck of the boss or entire office planning. Frankly, this has more to do with Man or Human luck th…

Dear Sze Nee, The problem with suitability issues from analysis such as Eight House is there is no way to correct the problem unless you decide to change to a more suitable direction. Usually, if you are just an employee, there is very little freedom for you to say choose or correct a direction or even avoid using that direction. So the only thing you can possibly do is to try to improve your luck by ensuring that your ba zi elements are improved. ie if you are a weak wood, then say wearing more Water (blue/black/gray) or Wood (green/brown) will help you improve your luck. This can then help to offset the issues about the unsuitability. So basically, what you can do …

  14. Dear Fred, Do you maybe have a sketch of the office/room which you work. 1. Ideally the shapes and form is most importantly for office to face the entrance of the room where people enter into the office. 2. The desk has to be anchored to a wall and not just floating in the center of the room. 3. The room should be your favourable at least even if you face the spook. 4. The window behind may not necessarily be bad depending on the layout of the room. So long as like the desk is anchored. Without a sketch it would be difficult to tell for sure which is better alternative. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Jessia, Under the Eight House theory, there is not much one can do on this matter. Whenever, one spents time at.. However, it is best to take the view that the position of the table / chair should try to conform to Shapes and Form Feng Shui. And avoid any poison arrows `aimed' at it or sitting under a beam. Other considerations depending on your level of `application of' Feng Shui may include checking the sector for any imbalances using Flying Star and correcting it if any. This depends on whether you just want to use the basic " Eight house " or Shapes and Forms. Warmest Regards, Cecil

hello, i have yet another question. currently at work, i am sitting in my spook/irritation direction. i have a wall in front of me and a window beside me. the view out the window is other taller buildings corners, sides etc... (does the corner count as poison arrows?). i share a cubicle so there is no wall behind me but a corner of a verticle supporting column points twds me. the person whom i share the cubicle with is a 'small person' whom causes lots of disturbances around the office. recently, i have been given a choice to move to a single (non-sharing) cubicle. this cubicle is more in my prosperityline but also very, very close to my disaster line. i will be su…

Anonymous wrote: 1)sitting area is at east, facing West Before I explain my reasons. I assume you mean that sitting area means the sector where the office is located is East sector of the office. Facing West direction. Ideally, the most suitable sector should come first before facing direction. I am not sure what West direction is referring to, but as long as it is not death or disaster, the it should be ok. So based on this kind of priority, your option 1 would probably be the best. 20. Dear Emily, Please see below:- 1. Frankly, this is not an issue. 2. When one takes over a new house/apartment, one has not being considered as moved-in yet. 3. Yes, it is very unrealistic to leave a wall or flooring untouched. It is very impractical - and seems `silly' to do so:) 4. This is why another key sucess factor in Feng Shui is the selection of auspicious dates. 5. The two most important dates are:- 5.1. Selecting a good date for start-of-renovations. 5.2. Selecting a date for move-in. 6. After selecting an auspicious date for start-of-renovations, the contractor can start work even at the Tai Sui location. 1. The key to understanding this is to look at it…

These are some considerations: 1. These concepts are considered as "nice-to" and not a "must-have" situation. 2. There are limits to specific concepts: http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/The_Three-Step-Approach 3. In addition, in a holistic approach; and if one is e.g. looking at a full audit then:- The Concept of Maximizing Marks Hopefully from a FAIL to a PASS or better!

Dear Tien Sze, 1. Before I answer your question, usually if a company hires us (geomancers) to do an audit, our first priority is to get the location for important areas e.g. reception, meeting room and CEO's office Feng Shuied to an optimium level. This usually also includes the location for Marketing/Sales and Finance/Accounting. 2. I can understand your constraint in that other than the CEO, or some Senior Managers, it is quite hard to change the direction of one's work area especially in an open office or if the building has a certain layout. 3. In quite alot of the messages posted under this forum, it is good to ponder over Three questions: 3.1. What is the aim or pu…

  24. 1. In my opinion, yes, usually, in a working environment, many of us feel better if we are not isolated! That is why, open office concept was and still the most commonly thought out layout. 2. Like you have mentioned, having an office in a "crammed" tower and being isolated is never a virtue of any human beings.. other than a "prisoner" or a "hermit". 3. We can draw many comparisons to "well wishing" parents who lived in a landed property. I have encountered many cases where, the parents have a three level apartment: ground floor = living / dining / kitchen and utility; 2nd storey is the master bedroom and often two more smaller bedrooms. And often the 3rd storey is ano…

Dear Toni, Thanks for your prompt reply. Since the religion is predominantly Christian, in general, even if there are spirits, usually they are quite harmless. First of all, avoid any metallic wind chimes or any metallic fliers or anything that makes metallic sound. Keep the room bright and introduce a more Yang environment:- 1. In terms of interior decor, use bright colours. Avoid dark colours. 2. Avoid having ceramic vases or any display items e.g. wood scuptures etc... 3. It is good if the office can have some music e.g. soothing sounds or even tune in to offical radio channels to increase the Yang element. 4. Ideally, your partner element strength should be " Strong "…
