Hello Feng Shui masters, I'm looking at purchasing a property and while the apartment itself is not trapezoidal shaped, the detached garage (on the basement level) has a storage cage which is very obviously an irregular shape. Is this considered trapezoidal shaped land (since I will own the storage cage)? Kind regards and many thanks.

Hi, I'm new here, hope someone can help to answer some questions i have regarding the layout of my new home. 1. Is it ok to have a tall cabinet right outside a room door? Facing room door directly. 2. Is it ok that the dining table is facing an alley? 3. Is it ok for the master room to be odd shaped? Any help would be appreciated, thanks! Just some other info, in the original plan, the master bedroom door is directly facing the toilet door. The plan attached is to avoid this problem. But is it a definite no for room door to face toilet? Or is there any other way to circumvent this? Thanks!!

Dear Brenda, Usually, the specific sector is looked at before, providing comments i.e. particularly using Flying Star to check on the elements at that sector with the hope that it is balanced. Paying `homage' to a sector i.e. North = career may not be the right thing to do. However, in my opinion, you can at best take it as interior decor for your home i.e. feel nice with the 3 plants at that area? Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Brenda, Frankly, my new house is also peach (or rather cream coloured). I find it quite a chore to have it repainted to my favourite colour - netural white. So long as these colours are bright - creating more a yang (bright) look, it is still acceptable. As to whether to place 6 coins, in my opinion, there is no harm to do so. On the other hand, I would rather, check to see if any family members have frequent bouts of sickness. If so, it would be better to place the 6 coins in the same room for family members that frequently get ill. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Is this considered a bad layout to even consider? Looks like a pistol. I have seen the unit and after reno, living and kitchen is a wonderful space. Common rooms side looks a bit cluttered.

Dear Anil, 1. For the sector, if it is out of balance, then #5 and #2 should be cured. Before this, it is looking at the three Mountain #, Water # and Base # together. 2. Applying the concept of " If one cannot see it; it no longer becomes a threat ". In such a situation, you may want to use e.g. day curtain to solve the problem. But if you prefer to open the curtain; one good remedy is the use of Two forks: Please see the attached illustration below. (Note: for those who participate thru this forum using mailing list, you may have to log in to the forum to view this graphic as all attachments are not sent thru the mailing list option.) Dear Cecil, The flying star chart for the North Sector of my E1, period 7 house is 5 (Mountain) vs 1 (Water). Base star is 3. I know I should avoid bright yellow and green because of 5 and 3. What about a Black Lacquer Screen in this sector, is it ok? Thank you, Hoa

Dear Brenda, I hope you understand that the purpose of this forum is: 1. To clarify doubts or provide an opinion on the various FS practises. 2. To act as a catalyst 3. To help analyse / explain and interpret results. You may if you like to use the Free report under www.geomancy-online.com to generate the Flying Star report. I would not be able to help everyone to do all the mundane things like calculating out where users simply furnish e.g. a Date of birth, and in the next log in, expect all the homework done for them. The purpose of this forum is rather to try to provide quality `answers' if possible using quality time. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Carrie, Based on the Five elements concept, you should wear wood colours e.g. green or brown. Avoid wearing Red, pink or purple. The purpose is to reduce the imbalance caused by too much earth. You must not add more earth, as this cause too much earth. Remember that the Five Elements is all about balance. The imbalance of too much earth should be neutralised by e.g. wood element such as green or wood. You can also consider water element e.g. wearing it. This is because earth destroys water (under 5 elements to create wealth) and thus help exhaust earth element. Wishing you best of luck Warmest Regards, Cecil

-- Start -- Dear Sarita, Apologies, I did not see any attachment to this message and so far also I did not see any earlier message. Please upload your attachment again. The size limit per attachment in the Free Advice forum is 500K. Warmest Regards, Cecil -- End -- Dear Cecil. You had asked for the sketch of my house to find out the centre for me. It took some time to get the sketch ready. I hope the information provided is sufficient.I had sent you this sketch 2 days ago as areply to your mail, but I am not sure if it reached you, so Iam sending it again. Eagerly awaiting your reply. Thank you very much

Dear Anil, In my opinion, what you described is minor or really not much of an issue as it is felt that the movement of your personal vehicle is at low speed and unlike on a road. And would normally not cause Sha qi. Unless (I believe this is quite remote) that particular sector of the bedroom has a flying star combination of #2 with #3 (which would require `stillness' or `quietness' at that sector. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hello, I want to ask the master if I can put the stove + oven in on the north wall of the kitchen, only it is 30 cm away from the sink, because I am kua 1, my husband is kua 7, my daughter is kua 5, my mother-in-law is kua 2. The kitchen is facing (windows to the east 3, and the door to the west, the apartment is built in 1986, facing east- road, north door), I have two options in the kitchen, on the wall from the south, but I would affect everything for the whole family and if I put the stove and the oven on the other wall is northeast (which affects the others good growth) and remains the only option in the north, which affects only me), how can I have the best option? …

Dear Colleen, If you have done a Flying Star Chart, most likely, the sickness or misfortune star is in your bedroom or living room. In such a case try to check out and cure it. At the same time check the Eight House intangible force in your bedroom or areas where you spent the most time. In addition you mentioned earlier that you are a weak metal. While your husband is a Strong Fire person. Here, his strong fire will further weaken your metal. Therefore, the binding element is "Earth". Which will help your metal grow. Warmest Regards, Cecil Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi Cecil, in your experience, have you come across any information about fighting fish ( 打架鱼) being bad for Feng Shui? When I was a kid, I’ve heard keeping fighting fish will result in husband and wife ( or father and mother for that matter) to fight?

1. Is the fengshui for this stacked building good for business? The lower levels are for retail and level 4 onwards are for office use. I am looking to rent an office unit there and wonder if it’s better to be on the lower stack or higher stack. 2. When you look out of the window, because the unit is at the zig zag stacked side, you’ll see an extra vacant space / platform that is higher than the inside ground of the unit. Is there anything wrong with this? 3. Is it correct to say if the unit does not share the same wall as the building toilet, is it ok?

Dear Sarita, 1. Currently, in my opinion, the most popular concept that is floating in the internet and around the world is the Eight Aspirations concept. 2. This concept, is second (in popularity) to the Eight House Theory. 3. The difference between the Eight House Theory and the Eight Aspirations is that at least, the Eight House Theory is personalised to an individual. Contrast this to the Eight Aspirations or also commonly known as Life Associations/Aspirations. 4. I feel that the major flaw with the Eight Aspiration concept is that it is not personalised to anyone. If we look carefully at all the major theories; they are infact `customised to':- 4.1. Either the pers…

Dear Anon, 1. Based on 965, where 9 represents fire, six metal element and 5 (bad Yellow five or earth), the 9 with 5 is not ideal as fire (9) enhances earth (5). 2. A 6 (metal) may not be enough in such a situation. 3. Many FS practitioners, consider a computer as belonging to the fire element. Therefore, if you can, try to add more `metal' e.g. 6 coins to further destroy the two combinations of fire-earth. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Brenda, The Flying Star School of Feng Shui (Compass School) Feng Shui uses numerology such as #1 to #9. #2 is associated with Sickness #5 is associated with Misfortune Both #2 and #5 represents the EARTH element. And yes, since both are Earth elements, #2 and #5 is associated with Yellow colour (or Earth element). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, If your compass direction falls between: 217.5 to 232.4 degrees then treat this as 225 degrees which is SW2 For others: 202.5 to 217.4 degrees then treat this as 210 degrees or SW1 etc... Therefore, in your case, you should treat it as SW2 since it falls under 217.5 and 232.4 degrees. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. Frankly, if one lives in an apartment, there is no choice to relocate the toilet. This is unlike a private landed property where, some renovations can be done to shift the toilet position. 2. Just several weeks ago, this client was telling me that one of their friends had a Feng Shui practitioner `Feng Shui' their friends home. 3. The practitioner asked the couple not to use the Master bedroom toilet forever. And close the door (permanently). 4. This is not a good solution: 4.1 The best is to check for any other leaks in a home and fix them. Here, we should fix other leaks and try to increase our luck in other areas. 4.2 If a toilet is there, it is there. A…
