Dear Anon, As mentioned in my earlier forum message, there is no advantage in displaying a Chinese coin sword. Unless, one wants to use it to offer protection - from e.g. the underworld or from ghosts or spirits. Keeping it in a drawer or wrapping it in e.g. newspaper and keeping is fine. Not necessary to `throw it away'. Displaying it without a purpose may inadvertently create family disputes or quarrels. A while back, I mentioned that it is also a disadvantage to display a pair of kirin inside or just outside the house. This will affect harmony in a family. For door guards, such as a pair of lions, it is still ok, so long as it faces outwards plus, it is plumb and prefe…

Hi Robert, I actually feel better after hearing from you cos' we are actually staying at high floor, 25th storey and the cross junction is after a carpark and a road apart. Because my apartment is unblock therefore I can see the cross juction. We are also view a smaller cross junction from our guestroom, however, the distance is even further. Is it recommended to build a partition at the entrance to block from our neighbours door, it is only a small path between their door and ours. Also, our door actually faces our full length window in our living room. I heard it is no good too cos' the qi cannot flow in the house and will exit directly.

Dear Anon. I hope I got the correct reference for the term "six killing" as there are a few different "six killing" used in Eight House and Flying Star. I believe you are referring to six killing as Liu (6) Sha / Sar (Kill) which is one of the directions in the Eight House called spook. Generally, since it a desk direction, if you can shift it to your beneficial direction, you should. If not, at least strengthen yourself with your favourable element. For example if you are weak wood, make use of water (Blue colour etc). Hope that helps. If you think I am referring to the wrong 6 killing please specify the correct term and where it is found or used in. Warmest Regards Robe…

    1. We can draw a parallel with the "Yellow ribbon". 2. Let's hope that person changes for good. A glimmer of hope? If not, what the HECK! Sent that person to JAPAN! or NIPPON LAND! A land of few curses and lots of bowing.... 3. I assure you, if the person you mentioned goes to Nippon, he/she will be cured! 4. Some consider the Yellow Ribbon a project as they believe that out of all the hardcore; some might change for the better

Dear Winnie, As you had mentioned or "suspected" earlier that not all homes at a cul-de-sac are inauspicious. As mentioned in my previous message, "It Depends". Since no two homes are often the same, the type of curve, traffic flow around the cul-de-sac and even issues like how water flows (into the home if any or how water flows out of the house) are also important. Similiarly, I also mentioned that things like the main entrance in relation to the cul-de-sac is equally important. Other factors include the facing direction of the home. This is determined using Flying Star Feng Shui to look at the period the house was built, born or had a major renovation. How suitabl…

  6. As per my last msg; the centrepoint that you had drawn is pretty close to what I had drawn. And the arrow from bedroom 2 seems to be the correct direction of the facing direction. For the rest, you have to work it out yourself.

  7. Dear Anon, The `lime/lemon' you mentioned is not the same as the one given as a gift. The one given as a gift is sometimes known as " Kimquat". -----------Again this is not FS----------- Chinese especially the young present two Oranges to the "elderly" during Chinese New Year is because oranges or mandarin oranges represent Gold. In Hokkien (Chinese dialect) Gold is called Kim. Similarly the `lime/lemon' tree you mentioned is orange in colour and represents Gold. On the other hand everything in Tradtional Chinese relates to Yin and Yang. Lime/Lemon is considered Yang as it is sour or bitter. As one should be aware, there must be a balance of Yin and Yang. Yin refers to…

Dear Toni, Thanks for your prompt reply. Since the religion is predominantly Christian, in general, even if there are spirits, usually they are quite harmless. First of all, avoid any metallic wind chimes or any metallic fliers or anything that makes metallic sound. Keep the room bright and introduce a more Yang environment:- 1. In terms of interior decor, use bright colours. Avoid dark colours. 2. Avoid having ceramic vases or any display items e.g. wood scuptures etc... 3. It is good if the office can have some music e.g. soothing sounds or even tune in to offical radio channels to increase the Yang element. 4. Ideally, your partner element strength should be " Strong "…

  11. 1. Frankly, of course, this is not ideal: both in terms of Feng Shui and personal feel (especially if one is fully aware of this). 2. From the illustration, one good thing is that all the sewerage pipes are not sharing the same wall as your work-station. Which is a plus point. 3. Most likely the wall separating your work-station is made of concrete; this is again another plus point. 4. Traditionally, one can buy a hulu (around 2 inches to 3 inches) high and place it on one's table. If it is not hung, then metal (brass/copper) hulu can be used, here. Alternatively one of those wooden hulu can also be used.

Dear Fiona, 1. For situation for pearl string and parent string or whatever, it is always best to match the layout to the flying star chart. For example, key numbers like #8 mountain and water should be in an appropriate sector. Therefore, ideally as many sectors can be activated for the pearl string to benefit from it. This is where hopefully, good sectors are not locked at toilets / storeroom etc. Thus, this kind of charts must specifically be located at the rooms most beneficial. The saying goes " a miss is as good as a mile " 2. You will still have to cure the star 2, 5 etc. The difference is that the pearl string combination is all about enhancement but this does no…

Dear Anon, 1. Please refer to the attached illustration. 2. Often a house at-the-end of the road literally means just this. 3. Under the above illustration, you can see House 1 and House 2. Both houses are said to be at-the-end of the road or in this case, it can also be called a house at-a-T-junction. 4. Other senarios may include houses at a cul-de-sac and some of these houses can also be considred as at-the-end of the road. 5. Under the above illustration, one can notice that both House 1 and House 2 although are at-the-end of the road, they are "hidden" from view of the main gate. And often a car can simply drive directly into the house "car-park". If you lo…

Dear Alex, Frankly, I am not familiar with the Feng Shui consultants in Tokyo. Are there in the yellow pages or `word of mouth.' Usually, quite alot of Feng Shui practitioners I understand in Japan uses 9-Star Ki (both popular in UK also). As mentioned, 9-Star Ki and Traditional Feng Shui (or Flying Star is identical). However, the way it is done differs and thus, it is not advisable to `mix' the two as you may get different results. Either you follow 9-Star Ki or Flying Star. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Donna, 1. Please refer to my earlier message. In general green represents growth and it is one of the recommended colours. 2. However, I personall feel that Feng Shui is not a `cure' all. It helps to enhance Qi. But in terms of human behaviour and interaction, this is more towards other disciplines such as Ba Zi (Pillars of Destiny). In your environment, since there are so many individuals, it is not practical to try to use Ba Zi as it involves many people and their `interaction/cross-interaction' with each other. In my opinion, this is why, we often hear that once a person gets to be 18 years or especially 21 years of age, it is pretty difficult to `change' someone…

Dear Anon, In my opinion both cases you had mentioned below are non-issues especially for the fire hydrant. As often, it is quite low and does not pose any "poison-arrow" issues. In fact, from a non-Feng Shui point of view, this is often a blessing in disguise as it is right in-front of one's home As for the electricity sub-station, there is also no issue since it is quite a distance away. And often, even if one lives close to one, there is no known bad effects from it. Warmest Regards, Cecil
