  1. Dear Donna, Please Read below:- -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Saturday, February 13, 1999 3:49 PM Subject: Can i improve my health condition by applying FS? Thank you, we will continue to improve and develop new tools for easy access to FS. What you can do is perform a Eight House Calculation of yourself and check if you are sleeping and staying in the rooms which happens to be any of 4 bad directions. Then you might like to check the FS of your house, are there any bad stars such as the Misfortune Stars or Sickness stars in the rooms which you are staying in. As well as the main door…

  3. Started by MarkG,

Dear Mark, Firstly, East (Green Dragon) domain Logically East is the location of the rising sun and thus a Yang location. The Green Dragon is considered the most Yang of all Feng Shui animals. It is encouraged that plants can be grown here. West (White Tiger) domain The White is considered the most Yin of all Feng Shui animals. It is considered courageous and noble animal. It is also seen by many FS practioners as a fierce and determined animal. How can it be noble and yet `fierce.' One reason is that it is located at a Yin location and Yin refers to the `dead' and is considered not as favourable as the EAST or `rising sun' location. 3. Under the Landscape School of Feng…

  4. Can you elaborate further what you mean by `missing section' -- are you referring to your rectangular shaped house? At which direction is the missing corner? As for a triangular lot, where possible, you should do some landscaping to `remedy the situation. Do let me know the above.. thanks in advance! -----Original Message-----

  5. Dear Mariam, 1. It is very common to have partners with `totally opposite' good and bad directions. 2. When you look for a house, compare the layout plan with both partner's 8 house template. What you need to look out for is:- - Where possible, look out for the `Death / Disaster ' intangible forces. Try not to buy a house with these two intangible forces flowing into the Main door entrance or your bedrooms. For the main door entrance, this is particularly more important for the breadwinner. - In addition to this, areas where family members spent most time should preferably be under the influence of a good intangible force e.g. Health, Prosperity.... 3. In the worst…

  7. Dear Karen, 1. To the Chinese, a white tiger is particularly `inauspicious' or considered unlucky to see a white tiger especially one is gambling. In one legend, after 500 years, a certain tiger changed it's coat of fur and turned white. This is how we now call the West side of a buidling or house the " White Tiger ". If you have read the Four Symbolic Animals or Four Cosmic Animals concept at url: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/four.htm, you will notice that on the East is the " Green Dragon ". 2. Both the East (Green Dragon) and West (White Tiger) are often used by Feng Shui Masters to relate to Feng Shui enhancements of ch'i or for feng shui cures. East (Green Dragon) dom…

  8. Dear Karen, Yes you are correct. Rocks belong to the earth element. Crystals e.g. glass belongs to the water element. -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Friday, February 05, 1999 10:26 AM Subject: An author said all rocks are of the metal element.

  9. Started by tatsu,

Dear Carol, Please see my reply below:- Thanks for bring up this interesting subject. Let me elaborate about Yin. Yin refers to softer materials e.g. "sof"t wood, light colours. "Soft" wood are e.g. pine even teak but not laminated wood decor. For colours, the use of light colours. Flooring made of wood pieces will enhance the yin in a room. This is why you notice that most bedrooms use parquet (wooden flooring) to enhance yin ... state of rest. Yang refers to `hard' materials e.g. glass table, metallic objects/table and even plastic and laminates on wood. Colours are vibrant e.g. bright colors. Flooring made of cold slabs of e.g. marble, homogenous tiles and other c…

Dear Eric, South-West sector is suppose to be a location that "encourages" harmony of interpersonal relationships and if at work i.e. teamwork. I am not sure if it can improve or attract love into your life by placing something there e.g. plants (but you can try) -- "no harm". Just wondering

Step 1: Generate the Eight House Template for each person you want to analyse. All template is displayed as a Top being North and Bottom being South. Step 2: Get a layout of your house. Find out where the north and south is. Step 3: a. Superimpose the Eight House Template (if is it on a transparency). b. Or mark it out on the layout of your house. c. Or simply look at it side by side. Step 4: You can see that the Template is divided into 8 direct…

  12. Started by eng2u,

The rationale for not placing a bed below a window is actually more for privacy than in Feng Shui. So long as the window is " matted " or uses opaque glass or a thin film that prevents someone from peering into the room. Another point is that if the whole area has a low ceiling but uniform, then this is not considered as a `column' or `beam' above one's head. Hope that helps.

  13. Started by tatsu,

Dear Carol, It is understandable to find computers in the bedroom. Personally, I also have 7 PCs connected in a network in my room. (No kidding!) Not including a TV set and two hi fi set... maybe this is how I create a more YANG environment so that I can stay glued to answering the constant `flood' of e-mails both in this forum and personal e-mails without the need for drinking coffee. *JOKE* The main points to note are:- 1. Try to make sure that the edge of the computer table does not point at the bed especially the head or body. This is considered adverse sha. (poison arrow) 2. Most new computer monitors have `matt' finish or `anti-glare' screens. This relates to the `…

Sorry, I hope you can clarify further what you mean by " we can only position the bed without headboard- directly under a window. " Do you mean to say that it is something similiar to a low ceiling or resembling a pillar. Thanks in advance!

  15. Started by MarkG,

Two " Fu Dogs " are normally placed on top of the pillars of the entrance gate more for `luck' and to guard the house. It is still advisable to use other Feng Shui cures e.g. using a semi-circle carpet or pakua or even changing the direction of the door (for those who want to). Fu Dogs are used to `guard' the house and thus not really `cure' adverse sha.

  16. Started by jezzy,

Dear Jez, The ancient coins `tied together' to represent a `symbolic' sword should not be placed at the entrance especially one where it faces the main entrance door. This is bad feng shui. This situation is also very similar to someone hanging a painting of a hungry animal e.g. a tiger. This is symbolic of it's mouth being `open' and will cause problems for the household. Similiarly, one should NEVER hang a pakua in the house as it is equally bad. As the sword represents a `cutting' edge, it is suppose to `cut' away all your luck and bad. Hope that helps. Cecil Lee

Dear Vivian If you want to find out more about ley lines in relation to Feng Shui, you will be pleased to know that there is a book called:- " Amazing Scientific Basis of Feng Shui by Dr. Ong Hean-Tatt Ph. D, Malaysia " I also have a picture of the cover of the book under this url: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/books.htm To summarise, his books talks about water dowzing, the stongehenge etc... and the effects of undergound currents affecting homes that has the currents running under them. The members of these households have been studied and found to have higher incidences of cancer! Hope the above helps! P.S. A note of " warning ". If you think of buying this book to apply …

Dear Janet, Thank you for your e-mail. Please see below:- In traditional Feng Shui, powerlines are considered the " water element ". (Which is equivalent to watercourses or streams). As you had mentioned that the powerlines are 1000 metres away, it should thus be considered as " water " flowing along your North East/ North West. To clarify:- 1. Aas you mentioned that your house faces south, does it mean that the main entrance door is at the South? 2. Is the back of your house at the North? At the " micro " level, do try to get an ordinary compass and take a compass reading of your house. What you need to do here is to go a plot of empty land and take a compass bearin…

  20. Started by jezzy,

Dear Jez, Thanks for your reply. I like to share with you what is the rationale for not having a fish tank in the bedrooms. The main reason is that a bedroom is suppose to be a YIN location (or for `peaceful' rest). A fish tank is considered to produce `yang' energy e.g. the fishes swimming in the tank and the air bubbles etc... Similiarly, many Feng Shui Masters also say that plants should not be placed in a bedroom as plants grow and thus produce `yang' energy. For children's room however, it should instead be more `yang' but also should not have fish tank or plants but rather, bright coloured walls, musical instruments, hi-fi etc... You asked the question whether is it…

  22. The flying star chart that is generated for is a 20-year char which last from 1984 to 2003. However, if the house is not renovated in anyway after 2003, the chart is still valid. When the stars move around, the feng shui will change. Thus, there is such a thing a yearly chart and even monthly chart. These report will be available at a later time. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

  23. Started by nswsharron,

Dear Sharron, In Feng Shui, before anyone needs to apply the cure, they should check to ensure that it is the most compatible solution for everyone. Otherwise, it may do good for one person and harm the other. This is especially so when you are applying cures for the entire family. If is it for your own personal cure, and the cures are only say located or isolated in your room, then that should be fine. Wind Chime is mostly used as a cure for say a bad location in the house, so the cures under this circumstance should be most suitable cure for the breadwinner of the house. 24. Started by fabulous,

Please see below:- For the master bedroom, let the other partner who does not have the disaster or the death line sleep closer to this line. As you have not mentioned both partner's Pillar's of Destiny information: e.g. husband = strong fire or wife, it is difficult to analyse further. For example if the husband = strong fire and the bedroom is at the south i.e. a " fire" room, being a strong fire,+ the room is also a fire element, this may lead to keen competition and work pressure etc.. Worse still if the bedroom is painted `pink'. In such an example, after anlaysing the wife's element and if it does not affect her, it may be good to even paint the room light blue …

Dear Pedro, Currently, there are quite alot books on Feng Shui. I have not heard of Richard Webster. It is great to hear that you found his books good reading for beginners. This would be of help to users in this forum wanting to buy one for the beginners. Generally, Feng Shui books can be classified as under:- 1. A Feng Shui Master or his student writting books on " Traditional Feng Shui practise " especially those whose Master had originated from Taiwan or HongKong, and the Asia Pacific and even from Canada (where HongKong residents migrated there). 2. Books written not by Chinese Masters but overseas e.g. not of Chinese origin: a. Some of these authors who are influenc…
