Dear Anon, Yes, Happy Prosperous New Year! Please see below:- Frankly, I have not checked out the combination of double #4, as I am so used to having automated such mundane tasks. However, under Period 8, #4 is considered as a mixed blessing star. When combined properly with other stars under Period 8, some combinations, can become auspicious. While other combinations, remain inauspicious. If the double #4's combined to become auspicious, than one can remove a metal wind chime. Since, such a strong metal element may destroy the auspicousness of the double wood #4's. If assuming the #4's are bad stars, than, there is no harm to have the wind chime. A water position…

Dear Anon, It is not necessarily true. Yellow represents the earth element. The only way to find out whether a specific location is bad or avoidable is to do a Flying Star Chart. The two bad stars are 2 (sickness) and 5 (misfortune). If there are these two stars in a specific sector in your home, it would be best not to use yellow as yellow is the earth element and it will further `enhance' the earth elements of 2 and 5. Based on the YEAR - Flying Star chart for this year, the South is considered having " 5 yellow ". Number Five represents `Big Earth' and in turn, it's colour is Yellow and Earth element. Number Five is considered inauspicious under the Flying Star Chart …

Dear Brenda, Generally, it should not pose any problems with the light yellow comforter. (Especially if or there are no #5 or #2 in the sector). Perhaps, you can monitor the situation i.e. for any health related problems or sickness. (Within 1 month of using it) If there is, none of the above, it is fine. If there is, try to avoid using it or place 6 i-ching coins tied with red string and hang it above the bed. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Constance King, constance king wrote: hello cecil, am wondering as weak water does it matter if i should wear yellow gold or white gold or rose gold as long as it is metal? Generally, in feng shui, we can define an item by the material or shape or colour. You see most items you can't run away from the material it is made from. So in your above case, all are metal material. Butut if you look at the colours, then you can add another level of five element analysis. For example, Yellow gold is more Earth, white gold is more Metal, rose gold is more pinkish is more Fire element. If you look at it from a pratical standpoint. White Gold will draw less attention as it …

  8. Dear Yum Chinn, 6. Here, the key understanding is: the parallel of an examination: 6.1 Many of us had in one way or other done an examination paper requiring us to Answer 4 compulsory questions. 6.2 Here, the concept is all about "maximising all our marks". If 4 compulsory questions have to be answered and if the total marks = 100 percent, then each question carries 25 marks. 6.3 In an examintion technique, it stands to reason, it we should not only answer 3 questions, but if the paper is 2 hours paper, then we should rigidly allocation 30 minutes for each question. 6.4 Often, we hear teaching saying that even if we answer three questions, but leave out the 4t…

Dear Anon, 1. More important concerns are where a house faces 1.1. A temple or church 1.2. A cemetry Other brutal occurences in the home 2. Primarily, the above are the main concerns as a temple or church is said to be a `depository' of emotions etc... 3. A house next to or near a school, is acceptable. Thus one should not `worry' unduly over this. And not an issue. 4. The concept of clear space is an important consideration and has priority under the Shapes and Form. Thus is it good to have clear space be a park. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Yes, earlier, I had checked and found that for both male or female, born on your birthday (excluding time of birth) it is still the same element. With the introduction of time, usually there are two time range that can change this person's element from Strong metal to a weak metal person. And can also change the various component's of one's Five element breakdown.

I read in the books that we should avoid placing the yin and yang objects in opposite directions or next to each other. Meaning that the refrigerators and water dispensers (yin objects) should not be opposite or next to the stove. Actually, according to what I read, placing them in opposite directions is even more harmful than side-by-side. I have a microwave oven (used rarely, 2-3 times a day) and an electric 5-litre water pot. They are placed next to each other due to space constraint. Does this represent a clash between yang and yin? I am not too sure that the electric water pot is yin or yang. It is used very frequently, because we use a lot of hot water at home. Wa…

Hi, In my opinion, this may not be exactly true. What I understand is that although we can `classify' certain music as belonging to more Yang or more Yin, we cannot fully apply it to our real life: 1. We need rest and time for work. At a state of rest or relax, I am personally not sure if some of us like to listen to more vibrant (Yang) or relaxing (Yin) music. This depends on the individual. 2. I believe most of the music are new invention or commercial works and do not represent classical music. Under the short article I wrote at http://www.geomancy.net/fs/music.htm I mentione that Barque music e.g. Vivaldi's Four Seasons etc... when played can relax a person's heartbea…

  15. Dear Joe, In general, we should consider Yin Feng Shui as having a different "ruleset". What I mean is that all (or most) books that you purchase are usually based on Yang Feng Shui. Yin rulesets are quite different from Yang Feng Shui. For example, the Feng Shui ruler has a measurement for the living (Yang FS) and a different set of measurement for the dead (Yin FS). In Yin FS, a FS practioner will usually do a FS assessment of the gravesite. For example, he/she will use a Chinese Luopan. Place it in the middle and even use a long string to get the correct measurements to check the alignment on the Chinese Luopan to ensure that he/she get the right ausicious direction fo…

May I know how to decide between yin and yang cures eg. real moving water vs still water/deep blue decorative color/picture of waterfall? Is 6 metal coins tied together with a red string considered a yin cure? If I do not wish to activate water star 7 but need to reduce its effect, is it better to use a yin water cure?

In a Feng Shui audit of say, a landed property, it is also good to take note that one of the water dragon concept is that: Yin water is actually drainage or even a river flow of water from right to left of a home's main enterance. While Yang water is water flowing past the main door from left to right. In modern times, it can also mean vehicles travelling on the road or highway in-front of our home.

Dear Anon, 1. In fact, all scenery paintings have a touch of Yin and Yang. 2. In my opinion, I have not heard that it should only be displayed at the center or at the South West particulary the center. Thus, I personally believe that there is no `fixed' locations other than commonsense would say it it should not be placed in the toilet or kitchen. If one has a large painting, it would be best to hang it on a larger wall where it does not cover the entire wall, but sits there nicely. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Edited by Robert Lee: Please note that firstly this belongs more to a Can or Cannot buy House Hunting or a Full Audit service rather than a simple free advice question. It is difficult to make any comments on whether it good or not except that it might have some missing cornersatSouth-West corner of the house if I read the compass direction correctly. Dear Master Lee, Wishing you a Happy and Prosperous Rooster Year !! I've purchased a unit at Blue Horizon (attached the unit (with circle)layout), appreciate your professional advise on the fengshui for the unit. I'm born on 4 Sep 66. Really appreciate your advise. If you have the time, do visit her website where she has some interesting articles and she even expose `fake / bogus ' FS sites. 3. Please always keep an open mind about `Feng Shui' and what it can or cannot do. And also to becareful of new wave " Fast Food " Feng Shui. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Zi Wei plots "stars" from a persons date and time of birth, and uses the position and strength of these stars to determine the fortune of a person. Ba Zi is similiar, but uses eight Chinese characters from the date and time of birth. Both are used to determine a person's "Heaven Luck". What they were born with. In this regard, they are both the same. As to which is more accurate. I personally believe it is down to what you want to know. Some questions Ba Zi, or Zi Wei can handle. Some other questions, Zi Wei does a lot better than Ba Zi, and vice versa. And in some cases, neither is of really much help. So accuracy is (IMO) dependant on the competency of the person readin…
