Hello Master, can I ask you to explain me how to use the month star? Please be so patient. I have learnt the year star should be compared to the base star through the element analysys. In the picture: fire (9) is controlled by water (1). Star 1 is going to win: Auspicious combination What if I want to use the month star instead of the year one? Does it work the same way? Do you raccomend checking the month star every month and change the analysis and cures accordingly? Thank you master

Dear Anita, There are three `issues' regarding the computer: 1. The Video Display Screen which is made of glass. Depending on the type of computer screen used, some are `reflective'. If you have read many messages on `avoiding' mirrors in the bedroom, here, the computer screen = mirror and should preferably not face any part of the bed. If so, you can simply use a computer cover or a cloth to cover it when not in use. 2. Some Feng Shui Masters believe that computers are `electrical' and belongs to the water element. In this case, if will affect those particularly those with `weak' fire element. 3. As computers are `electrical' there will be some form of magnetic interfere…

Dear Peck Wun, 1. Usually, it is good to have bedroom doors that are properly aligned i.e. good to have the doors:- 2. at a corner rather than at the centre of the room. Where the door opens unobstrusively into the room. 3. In my opinion, it is the general consensus amongst many FS practitioners that doors should not directly face each other. 4. Therefore, I share the same view that it is of secondary importance that two doors should face each other. The common consensus is that it would lead to arguments or friction between parties sleeping in each of the room. Therefore, it can be regarded as inauspicious. 5. If you are able to get or contact the author, try to check w…

Dear Master Cecil, is there a guide of such that the altar table is "too far" from the main door that I should build a solid wall in order to have the altar closer to the main door? The altar will be praying to Guan Yin and Guan Yu. Its about 14 feet versus 25 feet. Behind the wall of the altar, other than a bed what else I should look out for to avoid?

  8. Dear Anon, While Fu Lu Shou figurines are not traditionally part of Feng Shui practices, they are often recommended due to their widespread popularity. 1. Frequently, it is positioned on one side of the display cabinet, overlooking the living room. 2. Avoid placing it facing a toilet. 3. Ensure it is not on the same wall as the toilet. 4. Keep it out of the bedroom. 5. Do not place it in the kitchen. 6. The rationale behind this is that since these are deities, 'respect' should be shown to 'each' of them. 7. It can be situated in the living room, for example, overlooking a window or the sofa/seat. 8. If there is an altar, it should be placed separa…

Please see below:- 1. Once a Flying 1. The Flying Star chart is valid (can be applied to this particular home only). 2. If you do not make any major renovations; this same Flying Star Chart is still applicable after the year 2003 e.g. year 2030 etc... 3. Once you do a major renovation: For example in the year 2005; you did a major renovation, then the house comes under the ' Flying Star " of the Period 8. (Currently 1984 to 2003 comes under Period 7), where if you notice the flying star chart, 7 is in the centre. 2. No you cannot use the same chart to assess your office environment unless the main entrance door is EXACTLY the same location as your existing h…

  10. Dear Pam, A ditch is considered as drainage in a home. And should not be confused with the "water-on-mountain" theory such as whether it negates the sum-of-ten or not. What above means is that simply any water feature (not ditch) found on a mountain star particularly under this Period 8 : Mountain Star #8 (current prosperity) or Mountain Star #9 (future prosperity). In particular if "water-is-on-this-mountain" water on #8 location, then this will affect one's lottery, human relationship / networking luck. For a water star #8 it refers to earned luck and general prosperity of a home. In your case, it is best to look at the Chinese compass school of whether there is ac…

These are some (common sense) considerations: 1. Take the example of a class of students. Majority of the time, the norm is that their results may be like a BELL curve. 1.1. There are always TOP students e.g. Top 1st, 2nd and 3rd. 1.2. There are those in between 10th boy/girl to 20th place. 1.3. There are those 21st to the last boy. 2. It is the same thing. 2.1. Normally in a development, there are excellent to lemon stacks unit. 2.2. Common sense says that if your choice stack (or the unit that one has chosen) can behave:- 2.2.1. Some units are a polished or unpolished GEM. Thus even if it does not suite the breadwinner, it does not really matter that much. 2.2.2. Other…

Hello, I am in the process of buying a new home and I think I picked a bad house lot. I still have time to change it, so can you help me pick the better one? The land marked in red that says “MINE” is the lot I picked. The only bad thing about this one is the house number is 4009. I read that 4 means death and 9 means forever (death forever). If you add 4+9 you get 13 which is unlucky in western culture but lucky in China. 1 + 3 equals 4 which means death again. The direction is southeast which is a lucky direction for my husband and I. I am the year of the sheep (1991) and he is the year of the rabbit (1987). I read that our lucky directions are East, Sou…

  15. 1) May I know must stove, frigde and sink form 3 triangle angle like the one in the attachment? Is this the best combination in kitchen fengshu? - Please refer to my earlier reply. "Cow-sense" can explain this. 2) Can Conventional Oven/Microwave oven places besides a fridge? - No issue. Since as explained in the earlier thread, many geomancers consider a boxed up fridge as = metal element. Only some consider it water element. - For those who feel that it is a water element; perhaps; search for such fellows and you might want to post a question to that fella. 3) Can Conventional Oven/Microwave oven faced kitchen toilet or window? - For facing toilet:- This is…

These are some considerations: 1. It depends! 1.1. In a neighbourhood school and within a non-streaming class; if we were to grade the students in a class, it would form a "Bell curve". 1.2. Thus, even within various condos whether they are in the NE or other parts of SGP; in many instances, also, each stack and even in some instances, different storeys would also often take the profile of a "Bell curve". 2. Frankly, there are two approaches: 2.1. In the past and current; common sense says that bring along all family members to view the place. Thus, if one does not want to get a specific Feng Shui service like Can or cannot buy; then continue to view based on personal fee…

Just imagine the road "slicing" towards the development. Thus, it is still better to avoid selecting units closest to the main road. Of course, factors like type of trees and distance from the road are other considerations. The most important consideration is cars entering the development. And always, the specific stack facing the entrance often has poor Feng Shui. Recently, I was looking at various developments and e.g. the BoatHouse, there is one stack at or next to the entrance : the ground unit with PES was still available (unsold - yet). Personally, this development reminds me of Meadows@Peirce; where personally, the entrance for this development is along the major…

Dear Master Cecil We are renovating my HDB four room flat which we have stayed in for more than 10 years. Recently the contractor came, measure everywhere and ask me how deep I want the cabinets to be. Can I ask if there are any auspicious numbers or numbers I should avoid in general? for eg he said shoe cabinet, actually anything from 37 to 40 is ok. But since that will determine the depth of cabinet for the whole wall, I just want to do it corrects… The other side, it will be 25-30cm, again is there any auspicious or inauspicious numbers to avoid? regarding the lying of vinyl tiles, I read from you earlier it should be parallel to the doorway, but i…
