Hi Fenger, In our Traditional Chinese custom, usually when there is a death in the family, most people will not wish to hold any marriage at least not after 100 days. It is generally considered inauspicious to do so. The actual length of period that most people will avoid having a marriage in the family really depends on your own traditional believes / superstitions. There are some people who will avoid having a marriage for a year, some even 3 years. So it is very difficult to put an actual figure as to the actual length that you must have before any marriage is held. It all depends on the individual. This has more to do with Chinese Believes and Supersitions. Take th…

  3. Hi Mr Lee, would like to seek your advice regarding my apartment floor plan as shown in the image. As you can see, bedroom 2 and master bedroom are odd shaped and their room doors open into where the beds are going to be positioned (i.e., when you walk in at a straight line from the door, will walk into the bed). My understanding is that the worse placement is where the beds are in line with the room door such that when you lie in bed, your feet is facing straight line to the door. How about situations where the room door is facing the sides of the bed? Is this seriously not good? Any simple fixes that are not too intrusive? Do you think it is ok to live with this w…

Hi master, would you tell me please what do you mean about houses NE1 ,SW2 when you write ,for example SW2/3 and so on.... are these numbers the degrees for these certain sectors? Thanks

  6. Dear Ray, I would have to say: "it depends". Much of Feng Shui has to do with commonsense approach. For example, if the property is already at a low level, often it is not advantages to have a low lying living room. This is because, if there should be a severe flooding in a location that has frequent floods, it would mean that the entire room will be affected by water. However, in many new condos, which is elevated, having steps going down to the living room is perfectly ok. As you mentioned, 2 steps down. Two steps down is considered OK or auspicious as found under the attachment : methodology for the number of steps. However, in Feng Shui, it is not that fav…

Hi, Frankly, I have not read the book you mentioned by Eva Wong so unable to comment on it. Usually, the author would provide some information on their School. If it is BTB (Black Hat Sect) my advise is to avoid these books. From the description of the book, most likely it is on the Shapes and Form. In general, it is easier to apply the Shapes and Form as it is more general and can apply to most homes. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Hi Master, I would like to check with you this house main door is facing a wall then kitchen. I am concern on the stove position . The current is slightly facing maindoor but we wish to relocate the stove to next to the window instead. I need you advise on the position of the stove as both stove is very close to entrance with a block of wall. Will this create a bad feng shui? Is the kitchen position is consider southeast as well? Thanks for your advise in advance.

Hi, For 3 years I have lived in an old hotel that went bankrupt because of lack of customers. The hotel is half way up a mountain, and there are no shops or cafes around. There is a very old building close by which was the main hotel. It looks like a ghost hotel. The rooms have been remade into apartments. After I came here, my career and relationships have suffered. Could this be due to living in a hotel that was closed and made into apartments? There is a feeling of "stagnation". Cheers

  11. Yes Master, I agree with your statements, I know many Fukienese in our place which were much, say, laid back than us of Cantonese descent...as they are more versatile in business. The HSBC Tower designed by I.M. Pei, for me isn't really blending with HK skyline...many people protested its construction...say the architects name and the building itself has ominous overtones. I also hear of mirror and ba-gua wars in HK and Guangdong. I also consider myself obsessed with Feng shui, as in taking it literally and with caution. Thanks Master for the time...looking forward to be enlightened again.

Link to Map Dear Master, My family is considering this home in the United States (left hand driving) and we are wanting to hear your opinion on this home in cul de sac. It seems like it is parallel to road so it should be better? The blue arrow points to the front door. This is an area with many Asians, so it is possible that the design is influenced by feng shui. The road is very quiet. Thank you master!

  16. Hi Cecil I’d be grateful if you can help clarify the two questions re Annual Flying Star - Five Yellow and its afflictions 1) Can cures and remedies block off completely the afflictions? Eg I have placed 6 metal coins and metal elements at the East this year and cannot avoid using that area as it is a study area. More so with work from home situation with laptops and lights being used (Fire elements) 2) Can pets be affected by fengshui and the afflictions of Five Yellow for instance? Eg when they spend some time in that area? Thank you kindly, LC

Hello Master, Inside "Do-It-Yourself (D.I.Y.) Finding a Good Home Kit" (selected for Period 8), some houses have (facing: E2 E3 W1 N2 N3 S1) "Triangle Star Robbery". { I can't find any extended description about this combination on geomancy.net } Is this "combination" considered good (e.g. House E2 period 8, will it be auspicious for period8 {2004-2023} and period 9 {2024-2043})? Moreover... I bought "2020: Flying Stars: Period 9 2024 to 2043 Guide: e-Book 3 (1st Edition)" PDF and there is no mention about "Triangle Star Robbery" there. So, this "combination" won't be present for houses/flats built in period 9?

Hi Cecil and Robert! I'm currently looking for a resale flat as my first home and actually quite like the unique look and convenience of Waterway Terraces. Chanced upon your site while doing research as I think it's important for a home to have good fengshui. I notice that you've picked out some "less bad" units for Waterway Terrace 2 (https://www.geomancy.net/forums/topic/12776-hdb-punggol-waterway-terraces-ii-premium-flats/), did you do something similar for Waterway Terrace 1? If so, I could not find it! Would love to use that as a reference. Cheers, J

SW and W of my house have both #8 and #3 flying stars. I was told the two sectors form a Pure Gua formation (hidden formation). However there's a wall between this two rooms so in order for Qi to flow I can put a water feature outside to connect the Qi. However the location is also on the right side of my main door (looking out) which I was told will result to infidelity if a water feature is placed there. Should I install the water feature or not?

Greetings Mr Lee, Thank you in advance for your very important advice! 1) Regarding accessing/buying a house, do we base the "House Number Report' on the date the house was built, or the date we plan to buy the house (2020)? 2) As we move forward in time will the Date ranges (for Example: 2024-2043) have an effect on the homeowners or is it still based on the original date that the house was built? 3) Will repairs or remodeling effect the house expression? and to what extent? for example painting add new flooring etc. or does it change when a new room is added? 4) I am wanting to understand if I need to look at all three periods from the date …
