General Help

Seek General Advice from Master Cecil Lee

  1. 1. Hopefully, the double #8's at the back is not the toilet or kitchen area else it is wasted, here. 2. Some homes have their acitivity area at the back e.g. dining room. If there is some form of living area at the "back" of the home, one can have more activities in this area. Alternatively, allow windows to be opened (provided no rain - leaking into the home). Letting qi or air coming from this area is a good consideration - allow it to circulate into the home. 3. Once a while, it is often good to allow qi to or ordinary wind to flow into all parts of the home e.g. open windows or doors every few weeks - is good for qi circulation: avoiding dead / sha qi or suffocating…

  2. Started by Kewpie,

Dear Anon, In my opinion, the interpretation is based on the address only. More importantly, depending on your level of usage of traditional methods or if one is only a `passer-by' of Feng Shui; other analysis are a better alternative: Such as correct shapes and form, avoiding poison arrows aimed at the house. These are easier to apply. More advanced methods such as Flying Star/Pillars depends as I mentioned above, on the level of your participation or non-participation in them. `Troubled mother' in terms of numerology implies `worries' of a parent (based on direct Chinese translation) of the combination of 3, 4 and 1 numbers. Dear Alvin, Alvin Low wrote: Hello. You mentioned hanging the six coins. Is it OK to just place the six coins on the table in a bag/container in the appropriate location? Actually, the coins should either be arranged in a straight row tied wth red string or placed on like red packet paper. Red is Fire, 6 Coins is Metal and the square in the coin is Earth. So when you placed it either in straight row or grouped together, the five element will be perfect harmony where the Fire- Hope that helps. Dear Anon, Since it is a non-religious item (more towards decorative item), a simple "throw-away" would be acceptable. If you have a big plastic bag, simply place it into the bag, tie it up and throw it away. Warmest Regards, Cecil

    1. Usually, if you have been using your English name most or all the time, now, frankly, it does not make any sense to change your Chinese (Mandarin) name. 2. However, some suggest that one may (could) make a "dog-tag" carved or eitched with your new name and "wear it". 3. Otherwise, it may be "pound foolish" to change your Chinese name. Even if you want to change your Chinese name, your new Chinese name should be "better" than your existing one - through proper advise. Quote: Anonymous wrote: Hi, My Chinese name has not beenused for a long time. But primary school friends used to call me by that name alot. Subsequently, new friends at sec sch called me by my Eng…

Hi, I have been following many of your interesting discussions. Thank you for sharing. We live in Switzerland and we are moving into a rented apartment soon and the attached is the layout. The entrance is at the flying star 9,9 sector. However, I am concern with the open kitchen side wall slicing into the main door. I would like to place a modern light metal open book shelve i.e, see -through, with decorative pieces), 1.8m height, 50 cm width . Do you think an open book shelve is a good idea. Thank you for your advice in advance.

Dear Gerry, Thank you for raising a pertinent question, particularly for new users in this forum. 1. It is traditionally beneficial to comprehend why the Chinese utilize the compass with TOP representing the South and BOTTOM representing the North. 2. Upon closer examination, it is evident that China is situated in the Northern Hemisphere, where the majority of mountain ranges are located in the North. 3. For those who have visited Beijing, the capital of China, it is common to observe that many houses have their windows and main doors oriented towards the South. Furthermore, the absence of windows on the North side is attributed to the dusty storms of…

Otherwise, position the bed to the direction of the less favourable party's auspicious direction if the bedroom is located favourable to the opposite party. East System favourable direction is N,S,SE,E. West System favourable direction is NE,NW,SW,W. The location of your stove is also an important consideration. The position of your entrance door should not be neglected.

    1. This reminds me of several encounters with Doctors (surgeons / GP or specialists). 2. Feng Shui is not an "exact" science and there are as many different practises as there are practitioners. 3. Many doctors (were used) to studying say the human body and many books e.g. Gray Anatomy etc.. detail the exact body structure, muscles, organs. And these are or have to be reproduced "exactly". 4. And several of these Doctors tried to "learn" Feng Shui. And, like yourself, found difficulty as such! Therefore, the consolation is that you are not alone!

  25. Hi Master Cecil, I am looking for a used car. Supposedly black would be my preference but it has been sold out and I am left with one in red colour which fits my bill. But based on my ba zi report, red is my unfavourable wealth element. Should I not proceed with the purchase? I attach herewith some snippets of my bazi report. Your advice and help would be very much appreciated Thanks.
