Thank you very much Master Cecil for the reply. I just made an error. The septic tank is actually located just beneath the sink only in an east - west (length formation). At least, I think, this is more preferable than being located below the stove area. The septic tank is in the basement and is wrapped by 4 walls made of concrete. Thank you very much.

Dear Master Lee, I live in Germany. The kitchen style is quite different from style in Asia. The stove is electrical (not fire) using heat-conduction (quite flat) and mounted in the long wooden board. The sink is also mounted in the same board. So the stove and sink are on the same height. Since I live in rent flat, I can not change the height. Is there way to remedy the problem? Thank you in advance. Warm regards, ZQ

Hi Thanh Huynh, Thanh Huynh wrote: Thanks for your reply Robert. I have one more question. What if I plant 2, 3 more trees around or be side this big tree and some more flower bushes to make it look like a garden, will that help also? Yes, this will work as well. As long as you can break the sha qi it will help. Furthermore, by making it into a garden, you actually beautify the place and that will definately be good in terms of feng shui. As creating a nice environment that you feel good to live in is essentially what Feng Shui is all about. Creating Harmony Hope that helps. These are some of the considerations:- 1. How many of us; during our school days, were "forced" to change our sitting (study positions) "yearly". 2. Come-on; are you implying that you will judiciously monitor "yearly" where Tai Sui is and request the person: male or female to change his table directions, again yearly? 3. If your intention is to change; just because you became interested in Fung Sway.. today.. What happens if you got tired of Fung Sway.. and venture into other areas.. would you still care to change your table direction. 4. Frankly, speaking, I can't even be bothered to review and or change my directions (yearly) as long as I own the same home.... 5. In you…

yap,ok..now i understand more of the 'white fengshui'. but i still have some things that i dont really understand about hyatt. 1. i notice that the ceiling at the lobby of hyatt hotel lobby is of many 'pyramid' shape, is it design in such a way that it is 'fengshuied'?any reason for being in that shape? 2. there are a few circular items in the hotel lobby like the spiral staircase, the flower pot in the middle of the lobby, the siting area which is infront of the staircase. are all these consider as 'metal' elements?(because you had mentioned before that hyatt is using the combination of 3 elements.) 3.i also noticed that the whole lobby area is actually with timber strip…

  9. Dear Boon Lee, No offence, here. Why not, proceed to do an academic study and take up a doctorate in Geomancy or Feng Shui. Here, one can then try to validate what was written about Feng Shui to see whether it works or not. At least, it kills two birds with one stone: Not only one could find out if Feng Shui is valid and at the same time, come out, by becoming a doctor i.e. others can call the person: Dr instead of just Mr / Ms / Mrs... Hello Cecil I have a similar problem..as follows: 1[In addition, things like lone lamp-post(s) slicing into the windows / main entrance of the home are also considerations of Feng Shui threats.] There is a water pipe facing the middle of my window which is next to the main door. It does not face the main door tho. (see photo). What can i do to retify the threat? 2[Other considerations also include where is the drainage from / into and out of the property as this will affect the wealth of the home] This pipe is it considered a drainage? It runs from top to bottom and there's a small srain flowing past the front door (right to left) into a small man hole. Should i…

Dear Cecil, My bedroom door is not facing my mom's door. In this case, can I hang or place anything in my bedroom so that my mom doesn't get angry with me so easily? BTW, she only gets angry or furious with me and not with other 3 children. I'm the 2nd daughter, with an elder sister and 2 younger brothers. I think it's the Chinese culture where the second daughter is born to be hated. My last hope is Feng Shui. Please advise.

Dear Gines, 1. Yes, I have used your layout plan provided to find out the centrepoint of the house. 2. The centrepoint looks like it is at the same location as what you had drawn. Please see below:- Please refer to attached sample showing, North, South, East, West, NE, SE, SW, NW. (every 45degree increment). The easiest is to use a protractor to draw the outline. You do not have to worry if the living room or dining room is `L-shaped'. By dividing as shown in the attachment, it will fit in different sectors. Under the compass school of Feng Shui: Eight House and Flying Star, you need to determine the direction of the main entrance door. Here, it is meas…

Dear Mr. Lee, Thank-you for this forum! I have been house-hunting for over a year. I purchased the "Finding a Good House " report and am delighted ! A house built in 1884-85, facing North has been on the market for nearly 3 years. The address is 610. A little used side street ends directly in front of the house. You can see way down this street when standing on the porch (good phoenix?) or is this shar chi energy running into the house? The back yard slopes downward- again bad form? The house is nearly a perfect rectangle, which I know is good form! I am trying to weigh out everything about this house. My birth date is 12/07/59. Thanks ever so much, Cynthia

These are some considerations:- 1) Must the safe box place in a particlular position or direction ? - It would be "Nice-to" have it placed at an auspicious mountain star e.g. Mountain star #8 or #1 location. 2) Must the safe be hidden in the wardrobe or must be cover up (In term of Feng Shui view) - Commonsense and not Feng Shui 3) Is the safe box consider Metal Element? So is it cannot place near window or toilet? - Whether it is metal element or not : it has no direct association with say a toilet or window. - Commonsense says that it is not advisable to place it near or next to a window. Especially if there are young ones at home. Else if house has no grille(s) or eve…

  15. Dear Glyn, Frankly, this depends on the type of stuffed toys. If it is `cute' (don't blame me but the dictionary says cute means adorable but ugly) or any soft toys, this is acceptable. I have seen many homes even in Singapore, where the child (especially girls) display a wide range of their toys e.g. barbie dolls etc... The only thing is not to display stuffed animals e.g. tigers, leopards etc... Other objects to avoid include war toys, guns or swords etc... I am not sure how this would affect the alter ego of boys thou (if they know how to read this) and start to throw rotten eggs at me:) Likewise, swords should not be displayed facing the main entrance door and paintin…

  16. Dear Cecil, Just to clarify for other users,I believe the Black Sect you mentioned is also known as the Black Hat School. Most books I have read follow this school, by laying a template (usually an octagon and what they call Ming Tang, or center) over the floor plan of the house. Thank you for explaining more about Black Hat/Black Sect. --Joe

Please refer to attachment. The street directory plan shows high-rise developments as opposed to landed property. But you can see the similarities with the earlier home you posted. Majority of the apartment blocks are parallel to each other: such as Blks 127, 128A/B/C/D with Blks 126, 109, 110, 171 and 172. While Nautilus@Punggol 169 A/B/C/D and 170 A/B/C's share a similar tilt to your earlier photo. And this small development is at a road junction. Thus, this is a simple example to show that it is not as uncommon as what you may think.

Further to what I had mentioned; the attached illustration shows: a practical approach to Feng Shui, today. And highlighted in YELLOW are the type of work even in a DIY environment should be required. Note: the Flying Star chart in the illustration is about: a home: with variables of : Year of birth and Facing Directions. E.g. Period 8 N1 etc... Not the tortoise that happened to appear out of water and you copied from it to do a grid. This is a no-no. If this was the 1960s and you draw a chart that you did earlier... perhaps may impress a few people. But in the >2000's era... this is just too basic (Kindergarten type of FS).

Dear Nancy, 1. I have looked thru the photo & layout you sent to my email account. 2. Overall, your plot of land is not an ideal shape. Units 5402 and 5401 are at a `T' junction and for these two units at the end of the road, preferably the main doors should not be in direct alignment to the road. Your home and the opposite house (5408) plus units 5402 and 5401 are in a configuration "close to" the Yang Zhai Shi Shu where three houses `meet'. This is considered a `bad' layout (not "fatal" but bad) in that it signifies `family will not be rich'. 3. The above is based on a three house layout. But with the four house layout, it looks similar to the above. Hopefully, it …

    1. Frankly, the two most commonly cited cases of concern with illicit affairs are: 1.1 Having a water position to the right side of thedoor. 1.2 Having two stoves in a home 2. As the mirror, will still reflect TWO persons' logically, there is no "lamp-post" or a third party reflected in the mirror. Thus the concern is more of having a photo behind the bed with 3 persons on it. Otherwise, what you had mentioned is not commonly mentioned that reflects "affairs". More likely, the concern is of having bad dreams or nightmares! Anonymous wrote: Hi Master, Thanks for your reply. What i heard is mirror in the room facing the bed will cause 'affair' - makes it very crowded…

HiHwee Ling, Generally, this is some signs of personal intuition that maybe at work. Most of time, when someone very close or something bad or unsual is about to work, most people have this eye twitching feature. This could be some kind of warning that something may be going on. Everyone has some form of personal intuition or 6th sense that can give you advance warning. So this could be one of the kind of signs. Alternatively, it may be nothing except that your eyes are irritated. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET- Center for Applied Feng Shui Research

  23. Started by Vincent,

Dear Vincent, Thanks for sharing with us the information about the placement of stoves in Sweden. Yes, infact, I have come across this when a few readers e-mailed me about it quite sometime back. In Feng Shui, we normally try to avoid placing the stove in the middle of the kitchen and this is not practised in China. Most of the stoves are located on a wall. I guess, since this is quite a `standard' in Sweden, it should be ok because Feng Shui taboo is to avoid the stove next to the sink or the refrigerator. In this case if the stove is in the middle, it will definetly not `clash' with the sink. The only other consideration under Traditional Feng Shui practice is th…

  24. Dear Carla, Carla Rothacker wrote: Here in America, we often have mobile home parks where the homes are set up on a semi-permanent basis. Some are in the form of a single long home of 14 by 70 feet or 16 by 64 feet, while some are made in 2 pieces and assembled on site as what we call a "doublewide" mobile home. Wheels are removed, and the homes in both cases are supported by construction blocks at key points beneath them, sitting upon concrete.
