A Feng Shui master would normally advise a person (where possible) not to have the toilet facing North or West. This was because in traditional Feng Shui practice, the North faces the cold and if the toilet faces the North, one may get digestive problems. If facing west, one may get `aggitated'. Unfortunately, it may not be possible for you to shift it. perhaps you could in your diet take more `cooling' food. Not cold food but food that relieves heatiness.

Dear Eve, Actually, I personally do not think that is absolutely correct. It is just like saying that every one has the same Eight House Direction or Pillars of Destiny. However, in order to say that is correct we have to see under which theory did the FS Master predicted this. I am not sure if you seen the recent mails that has to do with he Chinese Astrology and the 12 Animal Signs. Just looking from that angle. You will noticed that everyone luck for the year is different depending on which animal sign you are and what is the animal sign for the year. Maybe you should still stick to the cures that has been generated based on your Pillars of Destiny. And maybe in additi…

Dear Sharron, In Feng Shui, before anyone needs to apply the cure, they should check to ensure that it is the most compatible solution for everyone. Otherwise, it may do good for one person and harm the other. This is especially so when you are applying cures for the entire family. If is it for your own personal cure, and the cures are only say located or isolated in your room, then that should be fine. Wind Chime is mostly used as a cure for say a bad location in the house, so the cures under this circumstance should be most suitable cure for the breadwinner of the house. Dear Jez, Thanks for your reply. I like to share with you what is the rationale for not having a fish tank in the bedrooms. The main reason is that a bedroom is suppose to be a YIN location (or for `peaceful' rest). A fish tank is considered to produce `yang' energy e.g. the fishes swimming in the tank and the air bubbles etc... Similiarly, many Feng Shui Masters also say that plants should not be placed in a bedroom as plants grow and thus produce `yang' energy. For children's room however, it should instead be more `yang' but also should not have fish tank or plants but rather, bright coloured walls, musical instruments, hi-fi etc... You asked the question whether is it…

Dear Anthony What you have mentioned is the correct method i.e. , if your good intangible force is North, then your head should be pointing north and your feet pointing south. Dear Karen, It would be good if you can relook at a step-by-step guide on house to perform a Eight House analysis at this URL: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm I know everyone wants a `quick fix' solution and only think of e.g. the career sector. But to be frank, this is considered " Fast Food Feng Shui ". As I mentioned in a few messages in this forum that the Eight Associations or Eight Aspirations or Life Aspirations is only a general guide ... not to be taken seriously .. until every other Feng Shui theory has been taken care off especially the Flying Star Chart. Even under the Eight Associations, the time factor should be taken care of. For those who want to fin…

Dear Amy, Thanks for your clarifications. Since you are using your room at night, lighting is important and this would depend on whether you are working or resting. As far as possible, try to make the room as cosy as possible particulary place a faourite photo or even a small vase of (real or artificial) flowers would help. Dear Nansi, This is based on the Grand Duke Theory where for this year, one should not offend the Grand Duke of Jupiter by not doing renovation at the East direction. The Grand Duke or Tai Su `will' be offended if one e.g. digs earth or do renovations at this direction as it will disturb him. Unfortunately, the effects can be `long lasting' as it may extend to a few years. So far, frankly, this is the warning but no acceptable cures are available. As mentioned earlier, for some Chinese, they may consider `praying' for forgiveness to the Tai Su or Grand Duke of Jupiter. Other than this, I really do not know what to do also. Because, many who are aware of this, remember abo…

Dear Jody, I feel that currently, because of the small size of the tree, it will not pose too much of a `threat' to the house. At this stage of growth (of the tree), you may seriously want to consider, replanting it away from your main entrance area as it will one day bound to grow bigger. Although it is not a `threat' today, but it will be one day. When it grows taller, and if you do not decide to re-plant it, then I suggest, you may have to consider a `cure'. For example, placing a semi-circular carpet at the main entrance door area radiating outwards. Dear Kieron, Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Yes, glad that you will continue to trust your intuition. Believe me, it is more powerful sometimes than following all sorts of books and we may end up worse or feel "depressed" having to follow a `set' of routines. Look at it this way, many people have never heard of Feng Shui but benefitted from their own instincts or `six sense' or `intuition.' Hi Eve The article on the Titanic by Raymond Lo is at www.worldoffengshui.com. This is Lillian Too's web site. Very interesting article. It's easy AFTER the event, what about something BEFORE an event. What a skeptic eh ? An uncle of mine was booked on that Silkair flight but car broke down enroute to the airport so had to catch a later flight. Maybe I should look at his chart. I guess his elements were well balanced that day and that luck was on his side. Cheers Glyn

Point 4 is based on an opinion. The rationale is that normally, when a person studies, his work space should not be `cluttered' with display items especially those of " Dieties ". I can understand if a small picture frame or some other decorative displays are placed on the table. Otherwise, a study table should be `clear of such things'. Nor…

Dear Chris, If the doors are used frequently, there are really nothing much you can do. This is because if two doors are facing each other, it signifies that each occupants of either room will not be in good terms with each other. Early this year, one user wrote in to say that his main entrance door faces directly his neighbours and something like one metre between them. He mentioned that they are frequently at logger heads. The only alternative is to see if the doors can be located separately (where possible) if not, you may try to close the door but it may not be effective thou. As you enter the main door in the steps : -: 2 ;____ ;_____3 ; " 1 1 is where the main door is which opens outside and after couple of steps is the landing and then steps go upward and below the railing at step 3 is the fish thank and 2 is the fish tank. Dear Sue, Please read below:- ----- Original Message ----- From: Listmanager To: Sent: Wednesday, July 07, 1999 3:42 AM Subject: Main door Normally you should stand in the center of the house out of the main door. However, if you do that sometimes, there is some magnetic field which shifts your compass needle a bit. Which is why, sometimes a reading from the outside is needed to confirm that the compass is not affected by the building structure. However, if you use a shielded compass, then this would not matter. Please check Cecil's compass method. This is quite accurate and easy. This elminates many of the problems of the standing outside. URL: http://www.geomancy…

Dear Iz, Thank you for your words of encouragements. Presently, Feng Shui is no longer so mysterious. Sometimes, I go abit far to `warn users' not to go excessively into Feng Shui. Well sometimes this is human nature. For example, say someone pick up a book on Feng Shui and after reading between the lines, find that an author says that wind chimes are good. Here, the `catalyst' begins. Each of us mean well for our family and instead of purchasing one wind chime, may tend to purchase more. If one is purchasing only one wind chime, the chances of getting it placed at a Flying Star inauspicious location is not as great as one buying 5 wind chimes and as there are 8 sectors, …

Hello Chris, Thanks for your advise...I've been told about this bad star 5, but method of cure seems to be different. I was told that since the star 5 belongs to earth, the cure will be more effective if "metal" elements is placed on the floor at your main door. What happen if the star 5 move away from the South position, is it necessary to remove the coins? In fact, my star 5 is at SE where my main door is located, and SE suppose to be wood. Wouldn't metal destroy wood? Any comments? Thanks. Regards.
