    1. Contrary to popular belief, a home that may enjoy parent string combination does not automatically do so. The key is : Location, location and location. 2. Frankly, either there is some issue with the location: if it is a landed property: factors like drainage etc.. and other external and internal factors should be taken into consideration. 3. The cures or enhancement is not general to all. And, if you are DIY, then, try to apply the Eight House and Flying star Feng Shui: In particular, as mentioned previously in this forum see if you can activate: #8 current prosperity and/or #9 - especially for middle aged persons #1 future, future prosperity and also try to fix …

  3. Dear Master, I have purchased a brand new house in 1998 which is facing 183 degree (S2) with front door at the South side of the house facing also 183 degree, sitting N2. It is rectangular shaped. Based on Flying Star analysis, my house has a perfect "sum of ten" (mountain star and period star)in all 9 palaces built in Period 7. With Period 8 coming, I am not sure this house would be as auspicious as in period 7, since the chi of period 7 house declines in period 8. Can you enlighten me with my dilemma? Thank you so much for your help! Wang Jing

Dear Paris, Please see below:- If this intelligent child has good resources such as good family bonding and relatively good access to external (inputs), the child is sure to either top his class or futher pursue an excellent career in the near future. While a normal child, could perhaps be like drawing parallel to a normal home without a sum-of-ten. In both cases (in the above both the intelligent child and the normal child) has to interact with their external environment. And the key to the Flying star Feng shui is that it is not -static but is based on time-dimensions. This is akin to the parallel with the external environment. Thus it is good to have a sum-…

  5. Dear Pam, Frankly, whether which is better, will depend on which chart will better fit the house. For example, if you have double 8 at the main door or facing direction, obviously this would be most ideal. But if your double 8 occur in the toilet location, then it isn't as beneficial. Same goes for the sum of ten. If the sum of ten occurs at a main door or facing direction, obviously this will be good. If both occur at the best location, then probably double 8 would be better as this is the reigning period 8 so it is the best stars to have at the frontage. Sum of Ten would not be as good as a double 8. But as mentioned, these beneficial stars must occur at the righ…

  6. Dear Pam, A ditch is considered as drainage in a home. And should not be confused with the "water-on-mountain" theory such as whether it negates the sum-of-ten or not. What above means is that simply any water feature (not ditch) found on a mountain star particularly under this Period 8 : Mountain Star #8 (current prosperity) or Mountain Star #9 (future prosperity). In particular if "water-is-on-this-mountain" water on #8 location, then this will affect one's lottery, human relationship / networking luck. For a water star #8 it refers to earned luck and general prosperity of a home. In your case, it is best to look at the Chinese compass school of whether there is ac…

  7. Dear Sir, Could you pls advise? I live in England and am looking for a house. On this road, most of the houses have this common feature: The main door is located at the side, and it faces the neighbour's door. Pls find the images. Is it alright to buy such a house, or should I stop looking at such properties? Thank you for your kindness.

Dear Anon, The placement of the stove should be placed based on several `rulesets' and it differs in each layout. Ideally, under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, it is good to have the stove face inwards of the main door. On landed property, it can still be on a side wall (to maximize the layout plan of a kitchen). Besides this, other `rulesets' apply:- 1. Where possible, the stove should not face a toilet door 2. It should not be placed with an open window. The wall behind the stove should have a solid backing. 3. where possible (especially if the stove is located at the North compass direction) of the house, it should not face a water position direction (or in line with it).…

    1. In general, the main key success factor of a home that wants to tap the sum-of-ten should have as rectangular or squarish home as possible. 2. Under Para 1, the best case senario is a helicopter view where the entire outline of the home is rectangular and squarish. Thus, in essence, the 9 sectors can be "magnified" by this sum-of-ten for all 9 sectors. 3. Another key success is to have as much open space as possible within the 4 walls of the home. 4. Thus, from the above, the key success has more to do with macro Feng Shui then micro Feng Shui. Thus, be it a 1 level (storey) or 2 storey home, the best senario is still Para 1 (full stop). 5. The above is the key es…

I've read a lot about it is preferable to have a regular square of rectangular lot. I have not found very much source on larger plots of land though. My question is if my house is on a large irregular(not of any shape) lot (~20 acres) and much of it is not used as you can imagine. Does this affect the energy of my home negatively? Is there a way I can demarcate it so that it seems like the house is one a regular size lot?

  12. Dear Master, First of all, I’d like to express my gratitude for your work and sorry in advance for the long post. my birthday is 12/31/1985 and my husband’s is 07/26/1985. We’ve been happily married for 7 years and have one son, but we’ve been struggling to conceive another child. My husband works extremely hard (harder than anyone I know) and is quite smart but luck isn’t on his side. I’ve always been interested in Feng Shui so I tried researching online and reading, though I still feel very new to it as it’s a complicated subject only an expert as you could give a solid answer. 1/ I came across a test online and it’s analysis said my bazi is n…

  14. As a rule of thumb; often it is said that best not to let the STOVE face the window (if one can / could avoid it). As for the rest of what you had mentioned; sink and fridge; this is considered acceptable. It would be nice-to have the oven not face the window or face a bedroom door.

Please see below:- 1. Once a Flying 1. The Flying Star chart is valid (can be applied to this particular home only). 2. If you do not make any major renovations; this same Flying Star Chart is still applicable after the year 2003 e.g. year 2030 etc... 3. Once you do a major renovation: For example in the year 2005; you did a major renovation, then the house comes under the ' Flying Star " of the Period 8. (Currently 1984 to 2003 comes under Period 7), where if you notice the flying star chart, 7 is in the centre. 2. No you cannot use the same chart to assess your office environment unless the main entrance door is EXACTLY the same location as your existing h…

  16. Dear Kay, 1. Placing the figurines in the living room is indeed the most common location. 2. In my vast experience visiting Chinese homes, I have observed that the Fu Lu Shou figurines are typically placed on a display table, often on an open shelf. This practice is widely followed. 3. Placing the figurines under a waterfall is not a common tradition. 4. While some may pour virtual water on the figurines, I personally do not recommend this as it is best to stick to traditional customs. 5. It is crucial to ensure that the figurines are not placed below a beam and to adhere to other guidelines such as avoiding placement on the opposite wall of a toi…

Dear Anon, You can view this actual picture of a building in Singapore that is named Fu Lu Shou. It has the three deities or figurines: http://my.geomancy.net/mypictures/cgi-bin/imagefolio.cgi?direct=Buildings/Commercial_Buildings/Fu_Lu_Shou If you see the pictures carefully, Fu Lu Shou is `displayed' on the external wall from left to right i.e. Shou or Longetivity is on the far left. (This is where you stand in front of the building.. looking at the building). In the same instance, the figurines should be displayed from left to right. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  19. Dear Anon, While Fu Lu Shou figurines are not traditionally part of Feng Shui practices, they are often recommended due to their widespread popularity. 1. Frequently, it is positioned on one side of the display cabinet, overlooking the living room. 2. Avoid placing it facing a toilet. 3. Ensure it is not on the same wall as the toilet. 4. Keep it out of the bedroom. 5. Do not place it in the kitchen. 6. The rationale behind this is that since these are deities, 'respect' should be shown to 'each' of them. 7. It can be situated in the living room, for example, overlooking a window or the sofa/seat. 8. If there is an altar, it should be placed separa…

Another thing is that I have some items of Feng Shui from my current house, is it advisable to bring over to my new place or leave them for the new owners?

Hi Master, I would like to seek your advise in the placement for the altar at my new home. The place I have in mind is the one positioned at A, but understood from other threads that you would advise deities like Guan Gong for main door positioning instead. Could you please advise where is a suitable place that I can place the altar table? I am only intending to put a Buddha figurine. Look forward to your advice and thank you master. James

Dear Master Cecil, is there a guide of such that the altar table is "too far" from the main door that I should build a solid wall in order to have the altar closer to the main door? The altar will be praying to Guan Yin and Guan Yu. Its about 14 feet versus 25 feet. Behind the wall of the altar, other than a bed what else I should look out for to avoid?
