If we are talking about painting a home. Do not forget that large areas where colours are used may include: 1. Curtains or blinds(living & all rooms that have a window). 2. Bed-sheets (bedrooms). These are some considerations: 1. In general, kitchen is located at NW = "Fire at Heaven's gate". One way to reduce the incidence is to introduce "earth and water" in the kitchen. 1.1. Try to check where is the true cardinal point of NW. And closest to this area, can introduce : pottery / glass-ware or any thing that is made from earth e.g. mugs in cabinets, near to this area. And another method is to introduce e.g. 2 x 1.5 clear water containers e.g. on the table top especially if the stove is at NW.

What happens if Block 15 isreplaced by a flat area such as a pool? It could be worse if we imagine that the area occupied by Block 15 is a flat piece of land and the blocks are aligned in a U shape with the opening exactly at West facing If so, the three pools will get maximum exposure all day long and thus greater rate of evaporation of pool water.

In my opinion, this has more to do with beliefs and customs than Feng Shui. And also based on common sense and may affect the subsequent re-sale value - if any. For example, the Cantonese dialect group felt that "14" means Sure to Die.....

These are some considerations: 1. If in doubt always avoid Blue colour in the kitchen - as a rough rule-of-thumb. 2. Since the colour is not blue....it is better than Para 1. Thus in a kitchen environment; lets put it this way : in general: one will get less issues with the colours + wood material you mentioned. Or rather, less probability of getting it badly wrong with your colours chosen.

The concept of: Ashes to Ashes, dust to dust holds true for anything that has been cremated. Thus cremation is considered as : Neutral. As a mark of respect; often, place it somewhere that is not often disturbed. Need not display it. So long as not placed below one's bed or preferably not in one's bedroom is fine or OK. Often if one has a study, can be placed e.g. on a shelf perhaps next to the window etc... There are no hard or fast rule for such things. Thus "show respect" is a good idea, here.
