  2. 1. In my opinion, it is always good to do some research rather than depend frequently on "spoon feeding" info as a frequent forum user. 2. For example, the bigger picture includes the concept of "sum of ten", "pearl string". Which is part of some of these SW1 or NE1 flying star combinations. And the concept that there is no such thing as a perfect home in every way. 3. If you have gone thru some of my past messages, I have also warned of ill but correctable health e.g. for NE or SW homes.

Hi, 1. It is important to remember not to change the Ba Gua during the Hungry Ghost Festival. Off hand, I did not check the calendar but I think for this period i.e. 11 August to 9 September, this is the 7th month or Hungry Ghost Festival. Avoid changing the Ba Gua during this period. 2. To dispose of the faded Ba Gua, one effective way is to wrap it up in old news papers. You should tie it up with a string or rafia or even using scotch tape. This will do. Next, bring it out to the dustbin and throw it away. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Master Lee, Could you advise if a house situated on a gentle 'V' shape road is fine? Some say it is best to be on a flat road. Is it fine for a house (not the last unit) to be situated along a dead end?

Further to what I had mentioned earlier:- 1. In this real world of today; to make sense; it is best for an individual to focus on the micro-level. 2. There are two levels: macro and micro. 2.1. Macro refers to the industry one is in. 2.2. Micro is about analysing what is one's MAIN or CORE job function one is hired to do. Thus, for a sales executive; the primary job is to close deals or sales = fire element. 3. Otherwise, some wise guy can argue about your job all day, all year long and still cannot come to the conclusion : what element your job is. 4. Anyway, as mentioned in the last message; many perform multi-skilling. And in today's real world, one's element can be mo…

Dear Rich, Please see below:- ----- Original Message ----- From: "pillars-of-destiny Listmanager" To: Sent: Tuesday, August 22, 2000 7:21 AM Subject: Bed placement and opposing doors and windows The concept here is to get Qi to meander slowly circulating into the room. The most effective method is as you mentioned is to use a screen closer to the door area so that Qi that comes in thru the main entrance can slowly meander into the house. - Usually this is the best method. The screen in such a situation need not be full height but it should at least cover 3 quarters of the door (height). There are other alternatives like closing this side of the window so that Qi do…

  10. Hi Master Cecil My unit has a layout almost similar to Lawrence's one. In Lawrence case his unit has a balcony whereas mine is a lanai. So it only has windows rather than an exposed balcony. So in this case I wonder if it is discouraged to have the altar place in lanai area considering it doesn't have balcony features? Thank you.

Dear Lindsey, To test whether the power pole is a threat, stand at your main door or the window. And look out of it. If the power pole is tangent to or seem to slice thru the main entrance door or a window, then this is a threat. Else if one can still see the power pole but it does not seem to slice thru the main door (directly) then there is no threat. I.e. the power pole must be seemed to be slicing thru the main door or window. If the power pole is diagonal then there is no threat at all. For the property line, if you have a fence or a bush, then this would be better. Warmest Regards, Cecil P.S. graphic illustration of " No threat zone "

Dear Master Lee, Many thanks for your fast and most helpful response. Regards, Soh Peter Yes, the centrepoint shown is correct. 2) I have a fish tank with 8 gold and 1 black fish. Is the fish tank shown at the right location? If not, where is the best location? Locally, some Feng Shui practitioners often recommend that if there is a fish tank, it is often placed; close to the main entrance door. As shown under the attachment Marking A under the file: fishtank.jpg (This is strictly looked at only from a Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. Sometimes, the practitioner may recommend placing it at Marking B (in the living room or around this area). Please note that often, the abov…

  13. Dear Jeanette, Yes, it is preferred that a water feature does not face the main entrance. This is because, this is symbolic of wealth flowing out of the home. If you intend to install a granite wall feature, try to avoid a highly polished granite or marble wall. Since if it is reflective, it is like a mirror. Where under Feng Shui, a mirror facing a main door is not favourable since, it is considered as even before 'wealth" or qi comes into the home, it is deflected out of the home. (Under commonsense approach to Feng Shui, a highly polished granite wall -- is not favourable. Since, once we enter the home, we may --inadvertenly (while in deep thoughts) see an "image"…

In my opinion, this is not recommended. However, it is still allowable for a roof above the altar; much like an enclosed cabinet for practical reasons: to try and contain some of the "stains" from lighting up the joss sticks.

    1. If the bedroom is occupied by husband and wife, http://wiki.geomancy.net/wiki/Master_Bedroom:_Which_side_must_I_sleep_on In the above link, for example, the Master Bedroom is located in the South-West sector of the home. Under the Eight House concept, SW is suitable to the Mrs (her longevity) sector. While SW to : Mr is his death sector. If the master bed is placed as shown in the illustration; Mr should sleep closer to the master bedroom door, while Mrs, sleep closer to the "toilet" area. 2. Here in this example, therefore:the master bedroom is located at South-West (SW) compass direction. If the bed-head is placed in this position, MRS should sleep closer to th…

  20. Further to what I had mentioned; this is another link to another "type" of ba gua mirror. URL: http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=19&mid=25888&new= Apparently, this version is the latest version that has both the conVEX mirror and the ba gua trigram together. As mentioned, your purpose is to "deflect" or neutralise the sha qi from the street lamp. And it is not compulsory to add the ba gua trigram. As the main purpose of the ba gua trigram is to or suppose to "scare away evil spirits". That's all.

  23. Dear Anon, 1. `sum of ten', double 7 and double 8 are strictly based on Xuan Kong or Flying Star Feng Shui. 2. `Sum of Ten' For example, if the #numbers add up to 10; then this is considered as an auspicious number. Often, this is factored into under the Eight-One combination where the 9 by 9 luo shu grid when ( times ) X together i.e. 9 x 9 = 81 combinations. Here, for example, a Flying star numerology of #2 combined with #8 which when added equals sum #10. This is considered an auspicious number (interpretation). 3. Double 7's and Double 8's This is the most popular concept. Where for example since we are now under Period 7; if the main entrance or door has double 7's e…

Dear Anon, There is a logical reason why anything higher than a side table is not advisable. This is because if you look at the shelf at the side, the scorner closer to the bed will form a poison arrow which cuts into the bed. Since both side cuts into the bed, it is like an X. Which is bad feng shui. So not recommended. Even if you replaced it with a table, the same effect will be created unless you ensure that where you sit the poison arrow will not cut you. And/or at least if the corners are rounded, then not as bad. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
