Dear Hurbert, 1. Under Traditional Chinese system:- Ba Zi is used to determine name selection. For example, if a person lacks water... a geomancer may recommend that the person have a Chinese character with the "water or shui" element in their name. In addition, Ba Zi is used widely to determine Ming or Luck and other uses includes logo selection etc.. Ba Zi uses the Five Elements Concept to determine one's element and strength e.g. strong water, weak water etc... In addition, when we look at a home we apply Compass School of Feng Shui: Eight House and Flying Star Feng Shui. 2. Purple star is actually "9" numbers or commonly called "9 Star Ki. It has more to do with…

A row of bush rather than a partition of trees would be a better choice. If you are using trees, they usually end up growing tall and `beyond control' after 3 to 4 years. And a row of trees need to be planted spaced out at least 2 to 3 feet from each other. Depending on the type of tree, they often leave behind a huge area of shadow below the tree making the area, too yin. Contrast this with lower shrubs or bushes or simply, creepers on fencing which are much easier to maintain. Since the water tanks are covered up often this is no longer a major issue. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, As the protusion is a wooden cabinet, and acts like a overhead beam, you can try to use big metal `6 coins' tied together with a red string and stick it below the cabinet (less obstrusive) from view. However, if the cabinet is made of metal, fire element would be needed. Warmest Regards, Cecil

There are only two stacks that are E1 facing in this development: stacks 141 and 143.The frontage has the auspicious flying star numbers and it is good to have open spaces in this home. Hello, I too would like to know about my bed placement. I just bought a new house and would like to send you the floor plans. I was wondering how I would do that? I'm going to be moving next year to my new home, and I just found out that it's my year of the pig. I was told I should not move into my new Home next yr. I just don't have any other means of doing that earlier than next yr. But I would love for you to tell me if my bedroom is a good place for me. Thank you so much.

Dear Da Wang, Da Wang wrote: Tell me the difference in the topic title and why the calculation to other website too. Generally, there are two ways to look up an auspicious date. 1) One method is by looking up the Tong Shu. Which is basicallyan alamac of events that is created to let you know generally how the day is in relation to the year. This is general assesment without personalising the dates to any individual. This means that say 10 Jan is determined to be an auspicious date for wedding. This means that the date is generally it is good for wedding for everyone on this planet. However, noteveryone will find that day good, simply becauseindividually, the d…

Dear Andy, 1. Frankly, there are no right or wrong answers. This is because in some instances, the "stone" (jade) could belong to one element or a combination of other elements. 2. Let me give you some examples: 2.1 Shape If the jade is shaped like a triangle, then we may say that it is considered as a "fire" element. If the jade is sometimes shaped into jewellery e.g. a jade ring, then many of us would consider this a gemstone or "earth" element. You can think of many other examples, here 2.2 Colour Usually jade is green in colour. The depth of green colour can range from light green to deep grain green. For a scholar of "The Five Elements Concept" perhaps, he …

This now becomes more like an advertisement: 1. Do you have lots of photos and still like to keep your home clean? 2. Do you have limited space in your home to display many photos? 3. In a few years time, do you think you will have many obsolete tablets lying around? Look no further....

Many Thanks Master Cecil. I think it is all clarified now. About your statement number 5...No need to worry, we live in a place where people do not even have a slightidea about Feng Shui principles...Few Chinese people live in our locality and every amulets (cures) we hang or place in our vicinity were thought of as mere ornaments. I'm a believer of white Feng Shui and hard work...I try to be at one and in balancewith our surroundings. Morepowerand many blessings always...

Dear Cheui May, 1. In Feng Shui, it is also important to maximize one's LUCK using the three most important theories:- 1.1 Shapes and Form Here, location, location and location is important. 1.2 Eight House HOW SUITABLE is the house to the person? And at locations where one spents most time at should preferably be an auspicious sector. 1.3 Flying Star and Pillars of Destiny Here, Flying Star looks the birth chart of the house is looked at. While we extract, one's element and strength from Pillars of Destiny. Look at our luck periods and its relationship with the five elements. If you can see clearly, each principle above (1.1; 1.2 and 1.3) are specific tools used to analy…

Dear Nawaz Ahmed, Nawaz Ahmed wrote: I want to place fish aquarium with 8 gold fish & 1 black fish in my living room. Which is the best corner position compass direction South-East or North-East? Frankly, this really depends a lot on what stars are present in the South-East or North-East sector of thouse based on the flying star analysis. Make use of the free reports in the member area to determine what stars are present. You should try to determine where is your auspicious water star. If your home is a period 8 house for example, then if you have a water star 8 in the South-East, then you should place the aquarium in that sector compared to North-East. Nawaz Ahm…

Dear Carina, It is advisable not to hang a mirror facing the main entrance. But this can still be done, especially if one has done a full Feng Shui audit. Usually, pictures e.g. nice paintings or calligraphy are acceptable. If your neighbour is a Chinese, it is advisable not to hang a Ba Gua mirror or even the shape of it. As this may trigger a Ba Gua `war'. A Ba Gua `war' is a lose-lose situation. Nobody wins. I recounted, a situation, where I noticed one neighbour placed a ba gua mirror on their main door. The neighbour had no choice but to place a convex Ba Gua mirror to reflect back. No one wins here. Although you quite rightly mentioned that the profile of th…

Dear Danni, Is there a cure for sick houses? 1. It depends. (On how extensive the renovation is/was). 2. As I do not have a complete picture of how extensive the renovation was against the previous layout, it is difficult to say for sure if there is a cure. 3. In my grandpa's case, there is really no cure; other than to pull it down and rebuilt the home. 4. From your previous description that extensive work was done at ground level... it may seem that way (Para 3) especially if the `head' or profile of the head of the house was `touched' and or became too heavy or disturbed. 5. In my grandpa's example: this is a sterling example that " Flying Star " or " Compass School " …

Dear Al, Please see below:- Please note that Eight House cannot be used as a cure as the Eight house does not relate to the Five Elements Concept. There need not necessary be a cure for devil's gate. As mentioned earlier, the Eight House cannot be used to implement changes or `cure' imbalances. Although you have mentioned the #2 and #5 as base numbers, I have also mentioned that #2 and #5 relating to water and mountain star has to be considered. And this has to be analysed in relation to each other. Without, the full picture, and what are the imbalances at each sector, I am really unable to properly advise you. It is not advisable to use Gua (Kua numbers) / E…

Dear Master Lee, Thanks for the good news andillustration. One last questions (for now ). So does it mean, in my case the stove location is fine as long as the sewerage pipe is not visible visually? What about bed headboard sharing the same wall as the toilet bowl which is not visible since it is on the other side of the wall? Thanks for your time in answering my questions. Lenus Lee
