  2. Started by Taiji,

Dear Emma, 1. An alternative to using a screen in the room between the bed and the bathroom door is to place a side table. On the side table, place a side table lamp. Those with one bulb and with a lamp shade. This is symbolic of having a screen between the bed and the bathroom door. 2. It is also good to do an Eight House Chart to see what intangible force is at the bedroom sector. 3. From day 1 of this site and forum, we do not believe in using the `fixed template' format i.e. relationship corner at the SW sector. This includes Black Hat Sect *BTB* or the Eight Aspirations/Associations concept. I personally view the Eight Aspirations/Associations concept, "kindergarten…

  3. Dear Anon, Orange colour because of it's close resemblance to literally an "orange" or a "mandarin" orange is considered as "gold" colour. And gold belongs to the range of metal elements. Thus, painting it orange, would be bright and colourful! More importantly, many toilets are in enclosed area and often not well lit. Thus, especially if we do have elderly at home or youngsters, it is still good to go for light pastel colours in a toilet. Warmest Regards, Cecil Quote: Anonymous wrote: Is it advisable to paint the bathroom orange if it is in the NE sector of the home? Dear Cecil, There are is a fence on the back of our apartment seperating it from the next building.. The design of the fence is such that there are arrow shaped iron bars pointing to the back of the apartment The back is the West which is also the sitting direction of the apartment. What can be done to protect oneself 1. Keep the windows closed and curtained -- what u dont see does not harm u 2.Put convex mirrors to deflect the image of the bars 3. Any other remedy that you can suggest Thanks Anil _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Get your free @yahoo.com address at http://mail.yahoo.com

Dear Knight Elliott, Regarding the toilet in the center, unfortunately, there isn't much you can do unless you can move the toilet position to another location. The only thing you can do is keep the toilet door close and toilet seat cover down when not in use. Try to fix up other areas in your home that is fixable to increase luck from other areas so as to compensate for this flaw. Probably the corner from the wall would be the thing you should worry more. It is hard for me to tell you how you can block it, some suggestions would be if you can have some form of partition blocking the qi shi at the main door or some plants at the corner to break the shape of the poison a…

  9. Started by myfs_131312,

Dear Anon, Frankly, the hardest room to move-if any is a bathroom because of it's fixtures/sewerage piping etc... Thus, many of us have to "live" with it. In general, there are two "COMMONSENSE" approach in the name of Feng Shui: 1. If our bathroom door is fronting the stairs.. the best alternative of not seeing the toilet while moving up and down is simply to close the door. 2. Whenever we flush to toilet, especially the toilet bowl, the water coming from the toilet bowl area usually "flys" out. This is why we often here that toilet is not clean or dirty. Ordinarily, many of us are healthy individuals and a bit "dirt" does not kill us! For example, in a toilet, any…

The bathroom in the master bedroom is in the wealth area. I'm ready to paint and wanted to paint it a light golden color. Floor is tile in tan, beige, peach tones. It gets lots of light. Now I just read that green is the color it should be painted if it is in the wealth area. HELP! Petra.

Dear Hoa Luong, Hoa Luong wrote: I'm going to completely renovatethe convenient store for my gas station business.According tothe blue print, the architect puts the bathroom right next to my office (my office and the bathroom share the same wall), I don't think this is a good idea. Do you? Doesn't sound good at all. The toilet should be located a distance away from your office or at least in the bad sector of the building if possible. And it should be located at the frontage of the building (which is also bad). Hoa Luong wrote: Thebuilding's facing is S1 and this renovation will move the building to P8. 12. Started by rocky,

Dear Rochi, 1. In general, the main entrance door of a house is considered the `mouth' of the house where `qi' enters it. 2. Thus, the main entrance is considered important. 3. The `worry' here is that since the main entrance is suppose to be the `mouth' of the house, a toilet, next to it may inadvertenly, bring in bad qi especially coming from the `toilet'. 4. As you mentioned, if the wall surrounding the toilet is a `solid' wall, there may not be such an effect. The other reason can be looked at e.g. where the toilet area is just above the main entrance door. Here, one day the pumbing (if it is directly above the main entrance) may leak. "Someone coming into the house m…

Dear Hoa Luong, Please see below:- However, in many home layouts, it is very often common to have a toilet at the second level close to the frontage. This is less important than say the toilet directly at the frontage of a home.

  14. Dear Venkat, Based purely on the layout plan (without) human factor i.e. placement or suitability, I would say Plan2 (or illustration plan2A) is safe since, the water position is not exactly at the centrepoint. If you see the two attachments, Plan 1 (plan1a) however, has the toilet / bathtub at the centrepoint. Not as favourable as Plan 2. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Frankly, in Singapore, many HDB apartments and condos share the same issue! In fact, many newer condos have master bedroom where after placing the "queen-sized" or some can squeeze in a "king sized" bed, and left over is the wardrope area / TV console (or mounted) and some dressing table. And many of these condos also have attached bathroom that is "on the side" of the bed. Is the toilet really so disgusting that we should not have it? In the past, traditional Chinese homes have toilets that are "outside" of the living quarters. But today, it is "scientifically" true that a toilet can be dirty. For example, whenever we "flush" the toilet bowl and worse, if we cover th…

Dear Ling Ling, Please see below:- Often if no screen or partition is used, simply closing that particular window is ok. But if the window is left open, then a blind could be "poor alternative". Avoid bright yellow or cream or beige especially in the bedroom or bright red or pink in the master bedroom. This could be the colour of the walls or curtains or bedsheet.

Dear Jose, In my opinion, some FS practitioners may immediately comment... " nonsense " or " rubbish " on the placment of Ba Gua mirrors. Usually, these are western FS practitioners. In the east, such as Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Far East i.e. Singapore, Malaysia, many FS practitioners do ask their clients to use Ba Gua mirrors. In many of the past messages, the usage is for : 1. To ward off evil. Here, many of the FS practitioners may have a religion e.g. Toaism or Buddhist and these group of FS practitioners are the most likely ones who not only ask their customers to place Ba Gua mirrors but also `charms' with them to ward off evil. In fact, there are many who simply …

Dear Sualeha, You should instead check whether (truely or not) if really under period 8 (flying star) whether there is/are #8 or double 8 at this sector. If it is not, how did you come about that this is the prosperity? If this prosperity is based on eight house, then you can look at other schools to improve your situation. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

  19. Dear Master, Is there any cure for this?

  20. Started by georgemaayeh,

Dear George, 1. It is difficult to say for sure that, removing some of the toilets and leaving a few behind would help the situation. It can be tried but not sure, if it would work as there are still toilets at the centrepoint of the house. 2. One `idea' of using rocks is to create more `Yang' as rocks or stones are considered Yang objects. If you read it from a book and you can give a try. In general, other alternatives like keeping the toilet bright and clean is a better option. Warmest Regards, Cecil ----- Original Message ----- From: "free-advice Listmanager" To: Sent: Tuesday, August 29, 2000 7:26 AM Subject: Bathrooms location

  21. Dear Linh, Here are the following guidelines on the toilet:- 1. Ideal situations are where the toilet bowl should not be actually on the following points:- 0 degrees - North, 45 degrees - NE, 90 degrees - East, 135 degrees - South East, 180 degrees - South, 225 degrees - South West, 270 degrees - West and 315 degrees - North West. Why? Most likely if the toilet bowl is at this location, chances are it will be on one of the Eight Trigrams which can be either an auspicious or inauspicious location. What is the definition of toilet here:- Ideally, this exact compass point should not be the location of the toilet bowl or (sewerage pipe). It is still acceptable for a basin or…

Dear Holly, Welcome to the forum! In the last message, posted, I have mentioned that it is good to have a good grasp of all under-ling Feng Shui concepts by using a three-step approach: 1. What is the purpose of the concept 2. What are it's strengths 3. What are it's weakness. The idea of using Geomancy or meta-physics is based on a Holistic approach involving: Heaven luck, earth luck (Feng Shui) and human luck. In addition, Shapes and Forms as well as Flying Star Feng Shui is equally important. Thus, if the both of you are opposites and given that you are now at a disadvantage, you could explore the application of Shapes and Forms and Flying Star Feng Shui. For ba…
