Dear Marian, Please see below, This is because it is so easy to quote raw data in only just a few lines and wait for a full assessment. Imagine, if every forum member does this, I am not sure how I am going to manage it. There are already specific tools available. Or make use of any competent FS practitioners anywhere. So, I really appreciate if users do not simple quote such information. Especially in this forum since it is specific only to that individual. As another person's home will certainly not share the same stars or Gua (Kua) number. It is best to use a three-step approach to form the basis of solid grounding in Feng Shui: 1. Understand the purpose of each c…

Dear Lia, 1. Yes, you have brought up a very good question. 2. However, the Key Success Factor here is to take The Five Elements Concept to a higher step. 3. Hint: It has to do more with the concept of Strong or Weak. 4. Drawing a parallel, in Ba Zi, one must ensure that one get one's element not only correct but also whether it is `strong' or `weak'. 5. Unfortunately, for Xuan Kong or Flying Star Theory, many of the bad earth belong to the Strong Element. 6. For example #2 and #5 are strong earth element. 7. When countering strong earth, one should where possible avoid wood element. 8. No doubt, wood is acceptable to destroy weak earth. But it is not a good solution to d…

Dear Vivi, 1. My earlier comments are very general. 2. In my opinion, the statement has to do more with my personal preference. 3. Actually, black represents the water element. (Water element is either blue, black or grey). 4. In general, since water element does not increase or aid bad earth sickness elements. As compared to yellow or fire element. Especially yellow / beige. Particularly for houses under Period 7. And bedrooms are especially in the EAST. And in some layouts, South is equally inauspicious. 5. In my entire life, I have never used black pillows, therefore, have not considered using it in the future. Personally, I do not mind driving a black car, but, not us…

Dear Kim Lee, 1. Frankly, I am not in the position to comment on the type of Feng Shui advice that was given to you previously. 2. Usually, when we make an accessment, the breadwinner and spouse Ba Zi is looked at: 2.1 For example: What is the husband's Ba Zi element and strength? e.g. husband = weak wood. 2.2 What is the wife's Ba Zi element and strength? Strong metal. 3. In such a situation, the binding element for both partners is water. 4. In the above example since the husband is a weak wood, too much earth element is harmful to him. (Although Earth element is suppose to be his `wealth' element. Note: wealth element is auspicious only if one is a strong wood person, …

Dear Hoa, Please see below:- No need since there are already a 6 plus a 7. It is preferred to use a constant chime e.g. like a pendulum clock or constant metal instead of hanging two sets of 6 coins. Yes, given that there is a strong bad earth #2 plus a #3. And that #7 x 2 is quite weak to redress the #2 (although it can still cope with #3). A set of 6 coins would help here. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear KS, 1. It is best not to let the fish tank face the main door i.e. when one opens the main door, try not to have it face this door. 2. The most effective (Key sucess factor) is to use the Flying Star Feng Shui. A good location is where there is e.g. #7 small metal x 2 (metal element) or #6 big metal. Under the Five Elements Concept, metal supports water. And thus, it is advantages for a water position. 3. For those who are staying in an apartment: one actually (should) have already virtual water (clear space). And often water position is not necessary. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Dominique, 1. The key success factor is all about `balance'. 2. Under the Five Elements concept; balance is important. 3. Under the higher form i.e. Yin and Yang, balance is equally important. 4. Even in our daily lives, balance is good. 5. Thus it does not necessarily mean that placing dozens of six coins would mean that it is good. It can instead become an `over-kill'. 6. When determining e.g. a `cure' under Flying Star Feng Shui, we need to look at the strength or balance at a specific sector. Often, we need only 1 set of six coins at a specific sector. 7. If the situation demands another stronger cure, than it is better to use the next best alternative. 8. For …

  11. Dear Emily, Please see below:- 1. Frankly, this is not an issue. 2. When one takes over a new house/apartment, one has not being considered as moved-in yet. 3. Yes, it is very unrealistic to leave a wall or flooring untouched. It is very impractical - and seems `silly' to do so:) 4. This is why another key sucess factor in Feng Shui is the selection of auspicious dates. 5. The two most important dates are:- 5.1. Selecting a good date for start-of-renovations. 5.2. Selecting a date for move-in. 6. After selecting an auspicious date for start-of-renovations, the contractor can start work even at the Tai Sui location. 1. The key to understanding this is to look at it…

Dear Master Lee, Thank you very much for your time and advice. Very detailed explanation. Regarding the screen you suggested, does the screen need to be as wide as the door ? I know that, it must be at least the same height as the door. e.g. Can the screen be half the size of the door's width ? http://198.66.6.160/1.jpg ? Or must the width of the screen be at least the same as the door ? http://198.66.6.160/2.jpg ? Thank you. Regards, Ken wrote in message news:12935.6652@forum.geomancy.net...

Dear Anon, Can I clarify the following points: 1. The neighbour's mirror - facing your property: Is there perhaps a lone tree growing in your compound that seems to slice thru the window or second floor of your neighbour? Or alternatively, is there a private street lamp within your compound that slices into the second floor window of your neighbour? 2. When you stand at the main entrance, looking outside; can you see the mirror? Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Utpal, Please see below:- Under Ba Zi, if one is a weak water or strong fire; it is best not to have too much of the fire element. Nowadays, there is too much commercialisation in Feng Shui to the extent that even pyramid objects which was one used by another ancient civiliation : Egypt and Maya's. In China, we do not seem to see a pyramid. And because of this, it was felt that products such as a pyramid `cure' or `enhancement' is more of a gimmick. Please do not mistaken it with a Pagoda. In the past, Pagoda's are often placed above water veins especially lower down the river to neutralise (underground water) sha qi. It should not be construded as a pyramid shap…

Dear Guest, In Singapore, Tower equates Block. And in our public housing, Block numbers are excluded in the input. In our condominums, tower is often used but also not keyed-in. Thus, you should exclude Tower 6. Simply key in #18-7 (Please note G =7 and not 6. 6 refers to the letter F). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. It is good to hear that all the tables are already setup. This is the key issue. Since, it would not be good if you actually see your partition torn down and see your table move over to the new location. 2. As your new table is ready, wait for your colleague to move-out. For your move. If you do not have much items, simply place it into boxes such as the paper copier empty boxes. And bring all of them at one go to the new work-top. This is relatively no issue as compared to Para 1. 3. This portion is not Feng Shui but more of a belief:- When you do begin to move; just stroke your back a few times and mumble to yourself ie. "to your child" that we are moving …

Dear David, A person's favourable element is never just one element. A Strong Fire has 3 different favourable elements:- 1. Earth (yellow) 2. Water (blue/black/gray) 3. Metal (white/gold) also known as the wealth element. So in fact you can use any of the above 3 different elements in different parts of your life to enhance your luck. Even for your Five Element, there are different percentage for each element so sometimes certain element that you have too much you do not want to have too much more, instead it is often better to have a balance element. ie. 5 element each broken in percentage whereby all elements should try to achieve 20%. So those, which you have too much …

Dear Wasis, 1. Yes, the land, it is very vital to `control' water below us. 2. This is why, often a pagado was built along water channels below ground to try and neutralise it. 3. It is said that wells contain `spirts' and we have to control it. 4. We have to look at Feng Shui from may facets and angles. 5. In many fields, there are their specialisations. In Feng Shui also, many of us have our specific specialisation - that represents our location. 6. For example, in a vast relatively undeveloped regions, most of the Feng Shui work is related to the land, the `water' on this land such as wells and underground water movements. 7. In built-up regions, we see more double-tri…

  22. Dear Serene, 1. Thanks for the sketch and image from your main entrance. 2. Based on your description of the ba gua mirror i.e. the convex type; plus the two kirins outside their door; it is meant more for `protection' by your neighour. 3. In my opinion, since your unit is not directly in-front of this unit; there is no issue here. 4. For example, it is common place for many homes (landed property) to e.g. a pair of lions on the pillars of the gate of these homes. And your home is (if it is a landed property) not directly in the `line of sight'. 5. Your view is more of a side view and thus not affected by these placements. The vacant unit i.e. directly opposite this neigh…

  24. Dear Reyla, Oh so sorry, what I meant was that the repainting should be done at one-go. This is symbolic of removing the roof of a home at one-go. Therefore, choose a date to start this process. For example, one can seek temporary shelter e.g. move-in with a relative or stay at a hotel for a few days or week; depending on the work required and contract with the painter; one need not worry how long it takes, here. Painting should take a reasonable time (more for your convenience). It does not mean here, that one must paint the ceiling a few times! But rather at one-go after 2004 lunar new year. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  25. Dear Richard, Please see below:- In authentic heaven and earth luck assessment, here are the main considerations: 1. It would be a disadvantage for a weak fire or strong water person especially the breadwinner to have a water position inside his / her home. 2. In authentic Feng Shui; the true `meaning' or the closest to a wealth corner for a water position is thru the application of Flying Star Feng Shui. For example, locations that have #6 or #7 and if the condition - is applicable; can exist with water position. Often, and depending on the Managing Agents or later, the MCST; such areas are common property. And, some condos have strict rules on placing anything a…
