These are some considerations: 1. Please that note that generally, what you had attached for the layout or placement of the bed-head in the master bedroom is logical. 1.1. This would often be the position, when one walks into an empty room and visualise where we would "have to place the bed-head" irregardless of whether it fits the eight house theory (if any). 2. Thus, this is a fine example of: Shapes and Forms prevail over other matters. 3. Why "try to break a leg or arm" or place a square peg into a round hole? 4. Thus in my opinion, just go with THE FLOW.... 5. One must not forget... Feng Shui is one thing. Another consideration is human or man luck = feel good or r…

  2. For practical reasons, nowadays in modern times, we should not be too concerned with which direction one is moving. For example, if you have to move in the east direction, one has to move to that direction! Our free auspicious dates are for the next 30 days at: http://dates.geomancy.net

  6. Common sense (Cs) 1. The concept of "Common sense" takes precedence over Feng Shui in various aspects. For instance, the visibility factor plays a crucial role. Leaving the toilet door open may not be considered appropriate as it can be unpleasant to see inside a toilet or toilet bowl. However, some individuals, particularly young boys and men, may not mind it. The scenario changes if an attractive girl is using the toilet with the door slightly ajar. Common sense & more Cs 2. Another common-sense consideration is the direction in which the toilet door opens. It is recommended for the door to open inwards, while sliding or folding doors are …

    1. Numbers are like : one man's meat is another man's poison. 2. Numbers are very subjective. In fact, I know of many Chinese who are not superstitious of the number 13. While some others are very fearful of this number. 3. For some westerners 13 is an inauspicious number. But generally, many Chinese don't care too hoots about living on the 13th floor or a house number with 13. 4. For example, Singapore Airlines business class has only cabin numbers that are 12 and they skip 13. Thus, you can only find seats that are 12A, 12B, 12C, 12D etc.. and 14A, 14B etc... 5. Frankly, some Chinese also have no adverse "reaction" to the number 4 or 4 or 444 or even 14. 6. Common sense…

In my opinion, especially Tai Chi is a slow but (calculated to strengthen) since it has always been one of the most popular activities especially for the "aged"; I feel that it is OK. (Subject of course to the caution: that some who have certain health concerns; check with their personal doctor, first.

Hi Cecil, I read some posting regarding the aquarium placement on Geomancy and they are really interesting. I am weak fire and we have a small square aquarium at home. One thing that we realised just now, the placement might not be so great. How should we do it correctly? Does the aquarium placement need to move every year?

From a Feng Shui point of view: Eight Aspirations is static. And in the past, and even under the Lin Yun era of Black Hat (Tantric) sect; was very popular. Where you had mentioned North = Water etc... But the Eight Aspirations is a "fixed" model and does not consider TIME DIMENSION as compared to the timely stars of the Flying Star Feng Shui. In the 1970'sespecially1980's: a hiredgeomancer who proclaims that one needs a water position at North would not be questioned. But today, a client who is reasonably versed in basic Feng Shui would seriously question such a judgement or rather no brainer geomancer!

Dear Sir, I am considering an entrance level flat in a P7 , NW2 5 storey building. There are 10 households and 5 levels above ground in the building. 1) Attached is the map of the area, building is right under the purple pin, with the pool to the right. I understand this building should face a mountain form as a cure to it being an ''up mountain down water'' flat, There are bushes almost 2.5 meters outside the main entrance of the building- again in NW2. These are high so that my entrance level flat's living room windows which are in the same direction as the entrance , see nothing but these bushes. These bushes are not high as the building though, they would not be seen …

    1. In my opinion, based on eye-ball method, the toilet is not a the centrepoint of the apartment. 2. If the main door is closed most of the time, (yes) it looks like this is not the mouth of the apartment. (Most probably it is as you had mentioned "NW"). 3. All streetdirectories even electronic ones such as from http://onemap.sg has the North marking stated on the bottom left frame or rather 0 degrees is alaways on the top. If one ones one's apartment in relation to the block plan, one can easily accurately determine the exact compass bearing with a protractor.

  21. 1. What you mentioned has more to do with common sense than Feng Shui. 2. As black absorbs heat more easily than other "lighter" colours. 3. During the 1st Chinese Emperor's reign, he made his ministers and scholars wear BLACK. (To represent water element). Thus BLACK does not necessarily means or impliesinauspicious. 4. Under the I-Ching blue represent difficulty. Thus if it is not BLUE, but black.. still not an issue unless one thinks "wrongly". 5. In war time in the 1940's to 1960's, wouldn't be great if the house roof is black in colour? Natural camofluage in the dark. 6. By the way, it does not matter or rather, just because you are a strong wood and he is a weak ear…

This sample shows an actual Can or Cannot Buy comparison of two different units in two different condos. It so happens that the male breadwinner's Eight House chart is identical to the wife's chart. And this family is interested in two different units. And seeking advice as in which unit is better. An individual chart for each home has been done. But for confidentiality; it is not shown, here. I am only showing the Eight House sector by sector analysis of each unit.

In my opinion, these are some considerations: 1. Often, not an issue unless 1.1. there are too many left over items such as large amounts of pebbles or stones. 1.2. This is not Feng Shui, but avoid placing it at corridors or areas when rain water may flood into the fish tank (mosquito breeding). Otherwise, I don't think there is any issue with the empty fish tank.
