Hi Master Cecil, my partner and I are actively looking for resale flats in Sengkang. We have been looking around and realized that most of the units near the MRT station have odd shape rooms. One example that I am looking at is this unit. The corner of the common bedrooms are pointed, the main door is facing the northwest direction. Is this bad in terms of fengshui? Dear Anon, There are two `issues' brought up considering this. Most of the time, one should not be too unduly worried about it. The two `issues' are: 1. Some FS practitioners consider it `inauspicious' because, in the event, that a car catches fire, the bedroom is directly above it. Hi Master Lee, When drawing the lines to find the centre of the house, should the balcony be included? If the balcony is not included, the house looks almost like a rectangle with no missing corners. Firstly, if this is not a bedroom; not a major concern especially if it is at the back of the home or apartment. Secondly, many don't realise but a Refrigerator or fridge is actually considered as belonging to the metal element. Thus, if one needs metal in the kitchen; a large fridge can do the job.
