  1. The most less obvious method is to draw a small thin red line the line is the size of a thin red string or even a string directly above your head + shoulders will do. This is best method available: as the red line represent fire element to "melt" or destroy the concrete beam. Other than this, other methods are even more obvious.

  2. Hi, I like to add a few words on this subject:- 1. As most users here are aware, the tearing down of a building complex to turn it into a public park is a very Feng Shui move. If you can recall, the front of the house or office building should be " flat " ie. under the Four Symbolic Animal concept, the front is the `phoenix' which signifies it flies freely in open space. Similiarly, the Bright Hall is also called another term i.e. Ming Tang. Traditional practise, you will find a pool (not stagnant water) in front of the building. It is usually semi circular i.e. radiating away from the building. This is why sometimes, if you have a poision arrow aimed at your main entranc…

Dear Wasis, Apologies, we have been extremely busy for the past months such that I did not have much quality time to do the final touch-up of my books. The launch date for the books will be delayed. And I will post a message once, it is nearing the launch. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. This type of beam or supporting structure is very common. Look at it this way, this beam is very "shallow" and I believe, that if one notice carefully, when we place the bed-head, and when we place our bed-head pillow, we will never be under this beam. 2. To neutralise a beam, there are many ways to do so, in addition to what you had mentioned: 2.1 Some Feng Shui practitioners asked that a red line be drawn along the horizontal beam. This is symbolic of a line of fire to destroy or melt the beam. 2.2 quarter flower conice to hold up the beam. When you move the bed-head slightly away from the wall, this is pretty good. The above are the most common met…

Dear Anon, Thank you for providing the information. In the five element concept, fire strengthen earth element. Since the car is generally made of metal, this forms a triple combination and in effect, is acceptable in your situation i.e. red/maroon car. In addition, since the current 10 year luck period is of the metal element, the colour of the car i.e. red/maroon has no impact on you. However, if the period is inauspicious, then do less with this colour. Ideally, in the future, a good colour is gold or white (metal element) but since this period has already enough metal element, the above is ok. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Carolyn, 1. Yes, I can truly sympathise with many new proud owners of (small compact) homes. 2. In my opinion, one major culprit has to do with the compulsory need for a Household shelter a.k.a. bomb shelter. This does not sound comforting to some owners. Last year, one client said that since his unit is at the highest floor, and with the launch of bunker busting smart bombs; he felt safer (in an emergency) at his basement car-park than in his apartment! Worse! - If, the intelligence gathering is so lousy - as anyone could claim that he harbours "bin laden". His unit will be the first to "get-it". 3. This is so especially for new two or three room apartments. 4. Sorr…

  11. Further to what I had mentioned, thereare some other considerations:- 1. In theory, certain elements can be used to either enhance or neutralise a sector. 2. For inauspicious sector(s); the "ideal academic" cure is to completely neutralise the bad or bad elements # in a specific sector. 3. While in some instances, we can not only neutralise but enhance that sector or again the key is the balance in a sector. 4. The rationale why, I don't really want to go thru each and every detail of such postings.. for example, you had written down certain assumptions; there is really no end to the number of configurations be it thru the productive or destructive cycle. 5. It is universally readable especially from big search engines. Yahoo would also be doing the same soon or by now already... 2. Others.... Not all messages are approved... For those who have the wrong ideas; this is a moderated forum. All postings need approval. In fact, it is not possible to reply to all messages. And unfortunately for every forum message approved; 3 others are not.

The only thing that Feng Shui Masters advise is to place the dragon at the East wall. It should not " seemed " to be hungry (ie the dragon article you have ) as it will mean that you have problems feeding "yourself". However, in your case, you can collectilvely place all the dragons at one location. Preferably on the East side of your house and not the West side (yin side). A dragon can also be used to point at your entrance door `to guard it'. On the other hand, you can use it as an alternative to say a cannon to point at a posion arrow. Let me illustrative what I am currently facing:- When I first moved to my new house, it is a condominium with a swimming pool. Further …

  15. Further to what I had mentioned, for those who are not aware of the Chinese culture, ringing bell etc... is performed as a `rite' for someone who has died. Chinese monks who perfom the last burial rites use bells etc.. to guide the dead to their burial place. Here like wind chimes, one may inadvertently call some wondering `spirits' to the home. We would like to place our bed with headboard facing the South East window wall. We have an idea (please see image) to: (A) use some chest of drawers to 'back' our headboard without having to sleep directly under windows or (B) have bed under window, headboard either lower than / covering part of windows. Both ideas, we will cover the window with wooden Venetian blinds with slats upwards. The windows are 3-panel, sliding, only the left-most panel is usually opened. Can the chests of drawers actually act as 'wall' or 'support'? Please advise A or B, or any other alternatives?

  17. Interestingly, "Chinese Lucky Cats" actually originate from Japan. LOL Dear Anita, The idea is primarily rooted in belief rather than being firmly established in Feng Shui principles. Notably, "Chinese Lucky Cats" actually have their origins in Japan. Generally, sizable figurines are situated on the floor to serve as "guardians" at entrances or alongside staircases. They ought to be oriented outward, directed towards the outside of the home, rather than facing inward. For example, they may be positioned on one side of the house, directed towards a series of sliding glass doors, thereby effectively "guarding" the residence. It is recommended to avo…

Hi, If you want to find out more on how `Feng Shui' logos are created, please check out this URL: http://www.geomancy.net/on/logos.htm In short, Feng Shui logos are based on your Pillars of Destiny element. Warmest Regards, Cecil -----Original Message----- From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed> Date: Tuesday, July 06, 1999 2:44 PM Subject: Business logo Actually, all shapes are good shapes, it depends more on who the logo is designed for. Say for a company the element of the person running the company is water, then their wealth is fire, thus sharp shaped objects such as triangle is good shape for it. So for business logo, it is a…

  19. Dear Travis, 1. Thanks for your clarifications. 2. Basically, with proper use of the Five element concepts, although a chart may show unfavourable elements, the good thing about the Five element concept is that it allows us to have a balance or to try and seek a balance. 3. Not too much of one element or the other. 4. The purpose of Pillars, Luck Pillar or season of strength used is to allow us to understand what we are or will be facing. 5. For example since you are a weak earth person, you can take advantage of fire element eg. for the individual, red or pink. 6. Although it would account for your difficulties, you can now take better control of your life by using elem…

Chris and Cecil, I would have to wonder if the personality of the animal wouldn't have an effect on the chi of the home. Some animals are very docile and sweet, while others are much more active and playful. Still others should have never been allowed to become pets and belong in zoos. (or the bottom of the ocean) I've been in homes where horrible animals "ruled the roost" and the people were mere servants of the animal. I can't believe that an animal like that doesn't produce his/her own little version of sha-chi. Of course it also can be argued that the home itself can be the cause of the animal's good or bad traits. (as well as helping the person living there b…

  23. Hi, Thanks for bringing up a refreshingly new question. In general i.e on a macro level, overall, hospitals are considered a YIN location. Frankly, all of us (doctors & nurses included) have reasonable levels of personal AURA to defend ourselves from YIN elements. 1. Nurses and physicians are in constant motion, generating active Qi. 2. Patients fall into several categories: - Some patients are frail and weak, and these individuals tend to have more YIN. - The majority of patients are in the process of recovery, and in certain hospitals, there are different classes. Some of the higher classes offer TVs or rooms shared by four people, each with …

Dear Spencer, Since the eight house is based on true compass directions; more importantly: 1. Find the centrepoint of the home. 2. Use a compass to first locate the North-South alignment of the home. Please use the information at: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm Here, often the solution is to use a transparency; for example those that can be photocopied using a copier (where the transparency - is heat resistant - meant to go into a photocopier). Just superimpose the layout plan to the layout plan. The direction of the interior unit "follows" where the compass markings goes. Warmest Regards, Cecil
