DearCecil, Thanks so much for the prompt reply. Your opinion has been very reassuring. You are right, i supposed for most of us, we tend to look for 'concurrence' even if deep down we already have some 'innate guidelines'. And its great to know that everything is a blessing depending on how we interpret & take it! Thanks for your confidence; I 'll try to 'overcome' any seeming incompatibilities and strive to see the positive in day-to-day occurences. Wishing you the best of happiness, health & wealth! Take care & cheers! Chloe

Dear Emily, Actually, it has more to do with "visual" sight or appearance than Feng Shui. For example, we can draw a parallel to the dining table. In Feng Shui, it is often mentioned by practitioners (including myself) avoid placing the dinning table facing the main door. The rationale is that while some of us are very tidy, but for practical reasons, for a family, we have the father, mother and children; often, the family members come back at different times. And for practical reasons, often, food is left on the table for the last person to eat. And if one often sees a dining table, it is usually (for many people) to have articles / food etc.. placed on it. What is …

Dear Joe, A staircase facing the bedroom door is considered inauspicious because of Sha Qi. This is because of the negative flow of Qi of the staircase that flows directly into the bedroom (if the door is not closed). No matter if the stairs is facing the bedroom i.e. upwards movement or at the main entrance door, you see the staircase, both are considered inauspicious. A staircase should not go straight up but have a turn or landing is better to reduce Sha Qi. Placing a mirror at the landing or turn is not compulsory. Normally if space permits, a plant at one side of the steps (at ground level) is useful. Warmest Regards, Cecil -----Original Message----- From: Listmanage…

Dear Ricky, Yes, this is definitely a much better arrangement: 1. the sharp edge of the cabinet no longer points towards the dining table. 2. this layout definitely makes the kitchen more rectangular in-shape and the fridge is now flushed against the wall area. (So long as there is proper ventilation for the back of the fridge, this is ok). 3. If the oven is at position A, this is OK. 4. Generally, we have not taken into consideration the wife's ba zi to see if the stove is in a good facing direction. But, if say the opposite direction is favourable, then a mirror can be used to "reflect" the image to the other side of the wall. Especially if current stove is sa…

No matter how, just to take note that even for a Period 7 home, under Period 8, a period 7 home's chart would already lose some of its energy epecially if these were once auspicious under Period 7 e.g. double 7's etc... Since your layout is like it is, if you really need to use the stove, there is frankly not much choice unless one has a wet or dry kitchen or could bear buying a simple burner stove etc.. to be placed at another identified location. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Sophia, Actually, the gist of it is that six coins represents big metal. And under Flying star feng shui, it is often used as a "cure" to neutralise some bad #star numbers. You may have to understand Flying star numbers like #2, #3 or #5 in order to understand whether this cure is suitable or not for the situation. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Yoke Yeen, 1. Frankly, from a micro perspective of a condo (the site itself) there are always good units that have excellent / good or favourable qi. But other units may have less or unfavourable qi. This is often applicable to all developments - large or small. 2. From the fact that you have brought up the prison, plus many others have brought up this "issue", would suggest that there are more people who may just don't like the idea of living close to or facing or looking at the prision (since some units have such a view). 3. Under Para 2, these are not directly Feng Shui related, but rather affect our human component ie. our "feel good or feel bad factor". If ou…

Dear Emily, Only if #8 is a Water star, can we best activate it. However, in your question, since #8 = base star, it will have to take on the characteristics of it's personal element i.e. this is suppose to be an auspicious earth element. And on it's own, using water is not a good idea. Since water is like having a "hole to drawn the mountain". Not the kind of idea to do so. In fact, under a Flying star chart, if there is e.g. a base #8 while one of the other stars is a #5, because of Period 8, the #8 is suppose to reign supreme or take precedence over only one #5 in the chart. But if there are two or more #5 with #8 in a sector, than, this may over power #8. For exa…

Dear Master Cecil, I hope to get a very short reply from you about this.Regarding placing an aquarium in SE sector, which has MS#4 WS #8 and base 6 (house facing W1), in general this sector is good for aquarium. However in 2005, star #3 flies into the SE and it seems like it is going to be quite strong. Is it still appropriate to use an aquarium here for 2005 ? Thanks.

Dear Samantha, One must not forget, that flying star is only one portion of a complete analysis. The most important factor to a good house isn't just the 4 walls of the home, but rather the external factors and surrounding. Regardless of whether you take the main door or the facing of the house. Both are not wrong, they are the actual flying star influence of the house itself. Even though, the charts may look different, they are the correct chart for the home. The important issue about flying star is to balance up all the sectors. Regardless of what is the chart, ultimately, the way to balance the sectors will not differ to much. Furthermore, as mentioned, flying star…

Dear Samantha, Basically, the applying of the Eight House or Flying Star is done just as in the Step 7 of this link:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/theories/fs-house1.htm Each sector is 45 degree in range. So as long as the bedroom or sector falls under that 45 degree range, then the cures or fixes should be applied within that sector. Usually at the wall or window that is in that sector range. The best example that I can give you is this sample report that Cecil does for his clients in a Full Audit. http://www.geomancy.net/consultation/consult-home/onsiteconsultationsample-layout.htm You need to break up the sectors into the different sectors, then evaluate wha…

Dear Pam, Generally, in terms of shapes and form, it does not matter as much as how sharp the bend is. Any such curve bend, it is better if you are located inside the bend (ie on the opposite side of b for example), rather than outside. This is because a bend will look as if it is like a knife cutting or radiating outwards. These three houses (a), (b) or (c) will all suffer the knife cuting effect. All are not as ideal houses if you have a choice. That is why, I mentioned that at first look, it does not look good. This is because it is like the road cut out to the houses. Especially so with that corner house. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET …

Dear Hoa Luong, Please refer to my earlier forum message which I clearly stated that a WS#9 is not the same as WS#8. In many of the forum messages a WS#8 = current prosperity and water should be activated here. Please check my previous message where I mentioned that WS#9 is best associated with Wood element. Thus it would be reasonable to place a plant at that sector to enhance the future prosperity. As to whether the plant is medium sized or large it has to go with the location where one wants to place it. And it is for your own judgement to do so. If the location can support a large tree and looks reasonable then go ahead. But if as a result of the big tree, for ex…

Dear Master Cecil What about if NW is the living room and has MS3 WS2 BS8, the bad #5 yellow that you mentioned at this sector will further worsen by the #3 & #2. What should I do to neutralise this sector, given that this house is a Sum-of-Ten house? Thank you very much for your kind help. Best Regards Emily Yahoo! Dear Winnie, As you had mentioned or "suspected" earlier that not all homes at a cul-de-sac are inauspicious. As mentioned in my previous message, "It Depends". Since no two homes are often the same, the type of curve, traffic flow around the cul-de-sac and even issues like how water flows (into the home if any or how water flows out of the house) are also important. Similiarly, I also mentioned that things like the main entrance in relation to the cul-de-sac is equally important. Other factors include the facing direction of the home. This is determined using Flying Star Feng Shui to look at the period the house was built, born or had a major renovation. How suitabl…

Dear Sophia, 1. Traditional Feng Shui has it's roots to the Five elements concept. 2. In my past forum messages, authentic Feng Shui has to do with both the Five elements concept and numerology based on say the Flying Star Feng Shui numbers. 3. Thus, whether the question of using an 8 wooden windchime is acceptable or not -- there is frankly no right or wrong answers. It is often due to one's interpretation and understanding or belief. 4. Much of many of the component of luck is "inter-twined" between Earth luck and Human luck! 5. This is because human beings are unique. And fortunately or unfortunately, most of us either have to be "swindled" or seem to think that p…

Dear Master Cecil Sorry if I had been a nuisance and posted a stupid question. Do forgive my ignorance. You are right that mothers have alot to worry and perhaps worry unnecessarily. Of course we will try our best to improve our relationships with our children. The only worry is that if bazi is inborn or innate, no matter how hard one tries to be nice and friendly, may not be able to overcome or change the fate. Anyway, thank you very much and grateful for your prompt reply. Best Regards Paris Yahoo! Mobile - Download the latest ringtones, games, and more!

Dear Anon, Please go thru the attached chart. This chart shows that person should preferably not register a business in his name especially if he intends to go into business in the year 2027. This is only a sample chart shows not only is the person's 10-year big luck is against the person but also overall luck as inauspicious period. With a weightage score of -22, -26, -24 as very inauspicious periods. These are the people who, where possible should not register a business under their name. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Romila, There is no easy way to improve relationships, especially for office or in large organisations. This is because, often you do not have the luxuary to be able to have your own personliased space where you can plan where you can sit / face / colour for your area. Often, area is given to you. So you just have to make do with what you can correct and try to be more tolerant to avoid conflicts. In terms of Feng Shui:- 1. Just use the compatibility report in our members area. URL: http://login.geomancy.net Find out what element do you each belong to and what element is common to both persons. Have more of such elements such as the colour for the common areas …

Dear CJ See, In such a case, I would first ask you whether who would be considered more important or holding very important decision making to keep the company going. If it is you, then ideally the facing of the office should fit you first. Especially, if you are the one running the business operations, and if your partner is considered like a sleeping partner. If not, then your business partner should get a better office facing. Then the other thing you can do, is ensure that you locate yourself in a good sector of the office, so that you can gain luck from that to offset what you cannot gain from the office main door/facing. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert …

Dear ed Gin, In this case, either (a) or (b) which you have mentioned are both acceptable. Like the saying goes, if you cannot see the problem, then it no longer becomes an issue. Option (b) would be probably better if your bedroom is large enough to allow for the a soft curtain to there without creating too much inconvience especially making it difficult to navigate around the room. Hope that helps. Warmest Regards Robert Lee GEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
