Yes, if google map does show the outline of your new home; you can use the method I mentioned earlier via a protractor to determine the correct facing direction of a home. Even if one is standing on an empty land try to take a few readings as sometimes there may be metal objects embedded in the hidden ground. Things like a manhole cover can give off false reading. Or a concrete path which often has a metal mesh to strengthen it. Anything with metal is detrimental to the compass reading. Alternatively, as mentioned previously; you couldseek help from the architectural firm to provide you with the blueprint of your home. Mostof such blueprint should actually have a North m…

Dear Master Cecil, I'm renting a house for 2 years and the one I really like will have the 2019 misfortune star #5 in the living room corner with a fireplace (that will be used). Would the other house be better? Option #1 fireplace house Option #2 North facing house (maybe use the garage door instead?) I really need Star #8 in an auspicious place so let me know which house is better for extra income. Thank you in advance for your advice Lollie (Apr-1-1978) central us time

Hi, Ideally, not good for the male head career and overall luck. On the other hand, If a kitchen should usually be an auspicious sector of the spouse. This will help or even lessen the concern for the male head breadwinner. This is one reason why sometimes a kitchen at NW is bad for some but no issue for others. Warmest Regards, Cecil

These are some considerations 1. It should be 14 steps. 2. In Feng Shui; it is always good to have a turn or landing at a staircase. 2.1. Some geomancers explain that it is to allow good qi to meander or flow from the ground floor to the upper floor and vice versa. 3. Another side of it has more to do with common sense: 3.1. This is because, touch-wood! If someone were to trip and fall on the upper stairs, often they will land onto the landing then to fall all the way down the entire stairs sometimes to the bottom steps. 3.2. A landing serves as a temporary resting area for some elderly before they further negotiate further up the staircase. 3.2.1. Therefore, it makes s…

Please note that the 10 Yearly Luck Pillars shows on average each 10 yearly luck of a person. It is based on an OVERALL AVERAGE luck for that 10 years. In any ba zi report, it will have the Yearly and even 6th monthly luck. For example even in any 10 year period; there are always "ups and downs" even for any year and even every 6 months.

    1. In general, bi jian or "friend" relates to person to person relationship. 2. Person to person relationship can be between: husband & wife / son to father / a person to another person. 3. For the Chinese, generally, are more cautious (due to upbringing) and many Chinese don't open up immediately especially to strangers. 4. The higher score generally is akin to like being more easier to make friends. 5. Usually the norm for any of the ten dieties is generally 0 to 2. Anything above this is higher. 6. The rationale for 0 to 2 is that under the Ten Deiities; contrary to popular belief; a person say with all Ten deities at 0 or 1 is considered a well rounded or has a…

  9. Further to what I had mentioned: 1. Please see attachment. 2. Three of themore important concepts under Can or Cannot Buy a home (apartment) are highlighted in RED box areas: numbered as 1, 2 and 3. 3. Location, location, location. This imply that even if or "so what" if the frontage is suitable to the person?" especially if the external Feng Shui has either threats or not so fantastic. 3.1. Here, even when seeking advice; can't just say " the frontage (or you may like to call it main door) is suitable to the person. But, one is looking at isolation. 3.2 One can have the most perfect home within the four walls of the house. But if outside is "condemned".. this is even wo…

Dear Vincent, Thanks for sharing with us the information about the placement of stoves in Sweden. Yes, infact, I have come across this when a few readers e-mailed me about it quite sometime back. In Feng Shui, we normally try to avoid placing the stove in the middle of the kitchen and this is not practised in China. Most of the stoves are located on a wall. I guess, since this is quite a `standard' in Sweden, it should be ok because Feng Shui taboo is to avoid the stove next to the sink or the refrigerator. In this case if the stove is in the middle, it will definetly not `clash' with the sink. The only other consideration under Traditional Feng Shui practice is th…

Dear Master Lee, I hope you can help me gain understanding about these floods that we’ve encountered in the past years that have caused us tremendous stress and hassles. The first relevant flooding that I remember was in 2015, we were a newly married couple and I was newly pregnant also. We just moved into our new rental apartment 3 months prior to the flooding event. Our second floor balcony connected to the master bedroom flooded, then the water went to the bedroom and then trickled down the stairs. This happened twice. When we had the balcony fixed by having the floor modified for easier draining and also had the drained widened, we were plagued by another type of…

  12. Hi, Here, we should classify knifes or sharp objections into either: 1. Display items 2. Kitchen Ware Under display items, we should never display swords or knifes directly facing a main entrance door. This is indeed inauspicious. Similarly we should not display these in our bedrooms. For Kitchen ware, it will be a more commonsense approach to ensure safety in the home especially if we have very young children. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  15. Dear Hoa Luong, Hoa Luong wrote: According to the house hunting report for P8, both E1 and W2/3 have double 8s at the front door facing, but E1 is better suited for me than W2/3 house. This tells me that from a front door facing fengshui standpoint, the bazi element is more important than the 8-house suitability. Am I correct? Actually, flying star analysis of the main door will be most important in the house hunting, followed by Ba Zi, than followed by Eight House. Reason being is that Eight House is based on YEAR of birth, whereas ba zi uses even time of birth to analyse. Often, it is ideal to get a direction which both Eight House and Ba Zi element are favourable. F…

Dear Shawn, Shawn lim wrote: The lucky/unfavourable colours are mentioned in mostly primary colours - red, yellow, blue etc. Yes, this is because these colours are the key colours that make up the other secondary colours. Shawn lim wrote: Orange, pink (fire/earth), purple/plums, copper (reddish) and grey.I am a bit confused about the colourbrown. Some say it is earth colour while others say its wood. which is it? Frankly, for secondary colour, it is harder to define due to the fact that if the colour is lighter/darker the element can be different. Orange for example, if light orange more ie more towards like gold colour, it is made up of more Yellow (earth) than Red…

  20. Dear Anon, To help you understand better, I have drawn a sketch of two layouts which are considered good staircase layout plans. There are more, but these two are, in my opinion, the most common ones:) Two sample layouts: Layout A and B of auspicious location of a staircase. The advantage of staircase: Layout A is that if one can imagine, a storeroom can be built below the stairs. Secondly, there is a private corridor to go upstairs.

Hey there. My name is Runa, and I know a little bit about western astrology. At a young age I was very spiritual, very close to nature, mixing herbs, plants, using them to create art and symbols. I was at peace, I was mostly a loner, and it feels like I am constantly living in different planes. I have intense imaginations. I can live in a world I create. Vivid details. Many ongoing stories in many timelines. To not kill myself.. I had to pretend to be someone else. Now I don't know what my purpose is. In western astrology, I have:Moon and chiron in 12h (h of collective unconcious and karma) in Leo [fire] Mercury and mars in 9h (h of philosophy, truth) in aries [fire] Sun …

Hi Master, We made a selection at 78 Dawson Vista (04-51) but people have been telling us that it's a bad choice. Is there anything we can do to salvage (if it's bad choice). My future husband and I are earth and water. From my understanding, level 4 is a metal element which is why I didn't mind purchasing it. Both of us have Mao-yu &. Chen-shu earthly branches clashes. Is there anything that can be done? Appreciate it if you can help. Thanks.

  24. Hi Master Lee, am hoping you can advise me of the potential fengshui impact if I were to: 1. Take away bedroom doors of the master bedroom & bedroom 2 (which are accessible from the PES corridor), so that bedroom 3 will become larger? 2. Hack away the wall behind the fridge (in living room) and kitchen door so that kitchen becomes open concept? Will however put a screen such that the main door will not see the kitchen directly. Will also keep the wall facing the common toilet in front of bedroom 2. Thanks so much for your help! Warm regards, Rin

  25. Hi, I have a bedroom door which faces the toilet door head on, so we are intending to shift the door away from that side of the room. Instead, the bedroom door will open into the Living Room, facing the TV and sofa. It will not face the main door or any other openings. Is this ok? Or is this arrangement also very bad as compared with the bedroom facing toilet? 2ndly, can I install ceiling fan over the master bed? Or cannot have anything at all over the bed? THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
