Dear Cheui May, Please see below:- 1. You have to first consider what is the purpose behind being `attacked' by a poison arrow. 2. If there is a pointed object e.g. like a pointed pencil or the edge of a building aimed anyway directly towards the main door, this is a poison arrow. 3. If it is a lamp post, look or imagine it as a knife slicing thru the main door i.e. tangent or perpendicular to it. 4. Otherwise, if you are standing on the main door looking outside and the lamp post is on the right side and does not `cut' the main door this is not a threat. 5. Is there a gate or fencing between the telephone post and the main door. Is there other `blockages' between th…

  3. Dear KC, Please see below:- For rearing of fishes, it would not be advisable for a person with the element " weak Fire element " as water can further extinguish a person with weak fire element. In addition, it is normally not advisable for a person with Strong water element to rear fish as it may further strengthen the strong water element. This may lead to e.g. sickness or competition at work for the party. This is OK. Other that what I mentioned earlier; you can place the fish tank next to a wall in your home. Since this is a smiling buddha, it is ok to place near the fish tank. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Vickie, I am not sure if have read this write-up on Cate Bramble's site at: http://www.loop.com/~bramble/fengshui/confess.html (Confessions of Lin Yun). Within this page there are links to an article devoted to Lin Yun also. One should not place a Ba Gua especially inside a room or office. This will create Sha Qi. This website does not discuss on Black Hat Sect or BTB is an "off-topic" More authentic traditional Feng Shui theories such as Eight House (for personal directions) and other more advanced theories like Flying Star (for the office) and for the individual i.e. Pillars, I believe would help more. Further to what I had mentioned, Does it matter how large the Free Space Is? Another case study of centerpoint with clear space..... Attached, please find another illustration showing "clear space" at the centrepoint or flux of the home: 1. Although the toilet is quite close to the centrepoint (fortunately) IT IS NOT at the centrepoint. The saying goes "a (fortunate) miss is as good as a mile". 2. The centrepoint is clear space. And if we look at the layout plan, it is thus advantages for this centrepoint to be clear space. Where, air-entry points from nearly any windows of the house can bring in or bring out air. Be it from the balcony, main entrance, kitchen, bedrooms …

Dear Chris, There are two considerations under "Feng Shui" i.e. 1. Symbolism under Shapes and Forms FS 2. Commonsense approach to Feng Shui 1. Under Symbolism in Feng Shui, it is considered a disadvantage to have a knife or sword hanging or placed or displayed in the living room. As this is symbolic of quarrels or disharmony. 2. Under Commonsense approach Just like guns with live bullets lying in the home. This can be assessed wrongly by young children or a parent or family member who is quick tempered or used by intruders into a home. Generally, as you had mentioned, it is best to keep or display the sword in a specific room e.g. your study room. And if possible, …

Dear Cecil Thank you so much for your quick reply. I may have given you the wrong information by attaching a 9-grid chart earlier. In fact, if measuing the main door from the centrepoint of the house, it is still within the NE section. I am attaching a sketch of pie chart for your reference. Based on your earlier reply, if my main door is at East sector, will I still be using the NE flying star chart? Sorry I am indeed very confused. Thanks for your kind advice, I have based on your advice to check on the house leaks. Please refer to my sketch. Are they consider a leak if the main door is opening to a see-through glass wall but not window? What about the mirror in the liv…

Further to what I had mentioned; these are some other considerations:- 1. In many instances; the colour of the exterior walls is dependent on external factors. 1.1. For example, in past forum messages; someone mentioned that his/her home is next to a cemetry. 1.2. In such a situation; often, a geomancer would recommend RED colour as the most yang colour on the walls facing the cemetry. Some cleverly use "natural" red brick walls that never need to be painted over. 2. Thus the above is a sterling example of the colour of the exterior of the wall has to be looked at in relation to the surrounding. 3. Myths:- 3.1. In the 1960s to 1980's and even today; some geomancers unfor…

Dear Shifu, I have got also information about posion arrow in Info section of your forum. I just know that ShaQi can exist not only outdoor but also indoor. For outdoor poison arrow one can use bagua convex mirror to deflect the shaqi as far as I know. My question about indoor posion arrow: What if there is no possibility to avoid sitting/facing in a line of poison arrow (e.g. corner/edge of a wall)? what is the cure? Bagua mirror is not right cure for indoor as far as I know. Thank you in advance. Warm regards, ZQ

Dear Joshua, Joshua Chia wrote: For me, the eight house report has indicated that NW would be a good location. How do I locate the best facing postiton of my master bed room? Does it mean that my master bedroom door has to face NW. Thanks In general, there should be at least 4 good sectors that are good for you. So get a layout plan of the house, or stand at the center of the house. Determine where is the North direction, and divide the house into the other sectors. So if your bedroom is located at the South, and South if your Heath sector, it is a suitable bedroom for you. If it is South is Spook sector, then it is not so suitable for you. 12. Anonymous wrote: MAy I ask is it inauspicious if there are lot of trees outside and near our house like mango, pomelo, guava. At the same time the guava tree is almost in front view of our main door although in an elevated position? 1. Under Shapes and Forms Feng Shui, there are two considerations, here:- 1.1. Yin and Yang concept Often, the living room is located at the frontage of the home. And good trimming or landscaping is good, here so that the frontage does not get cluttered. In Singapore, especially in the early 1970's many landed property homes often have a mango tree at e.g. the corner or the frontage of the home. Some have rambutan trees. What happen is th…

In my opinon, One North has a typical layout plan. One good thing is that there are only one or two blocks that has a pointed edge or corner aimed towards another neighbouring block. There are also diverse number of facing directions of the various blocks. Here, one of which is that you could identify whether you (the major breadwinner or often even today;we consider the male breadwinner) are an East or West Group person. If you want to do more research, you can even key in or type in a simple term like " By ranking " using the top left most search field in this forum.

Dear Jennifer, Palm Grove Condominium Both Palm Haven and Palm Grove share the same developer: CapitaLand. Both are 999 year leases. Palm Haven's lease started from 1/9/1876. While Palm Haven's has a better advantage since it started from 1999. Currently, this area only allows for low rise residential estate. Therefore, both Palm Haven and Palm Grove have low rise units. Each development at 4 storey high. Besides consideration such as the remaining lease time-limit and psf; in terms of external Feng Shui, the smaller development (Palm Haven with 48 units as oppose to 111 units for Palm Grove) has better shapes and forms. If one notice the attached site plan for Palm Haven…

Dear Betty, The most important thing to remember is not to place a wall clock above a door. Preferably, it should be placed at a location of activity e.g. close to the Television set or Hi Fi. (it can be above it). Another thing to note is that a grandfather clock is a better `subsitute' for a windchime. A few days ago, I tried counting my neighour's bungalow house. I counted at least nine different types of windchimes outside the west `wing' of the house (or the back door area). It so happens that this is also the WEST side of the house or the YIN side. Most likely, the lady who stayed there became insane because of the windchime. Personally, I would like to help but the…

Dear Karen, 1. There are many different issues in Feng Shui and Ba Zhi (Pillars of Destiny) and Yin and Yang concepts with regards to determining/recommendation as to the colour in a room. 2. This message would not be able to address all the above. And furthermore, `knowledge sector' is not practised here. 3. With regards to colours, `earth' colour or any other colours, you may have to take it in the context of Yin (darker) and Yang (brighter colours). Since your preference or comfort level is a darker room, it should do. Usually, earth colour is associated with Yellow. I am not sure what is the exact colour i.e. mauve.. if it dark, then, it could instead be `wood' colou…

Dear Judy, Generally, in order to fully know where you should be activating the water position in the home, it is best to use tools like flying star analysis to conduct a full audit so that you can find where are the current and future auspicious stars where it will benefit from having a water feature. So please note here that any advice provided here is based on general shapes and form concepts without considering other factors. 1. Ideally, any water feature should be located at the frontage of the house where possible. This is because whatever your frontage is that should be the clear space where under the Four Symbolic animals, it is the pheonix sector where the bi…

Further to what I had mentioned, I am always sentimental to such issues because, many already face hard-ship. And does these people have the conscience to further "plunder" these poor people? Do you want to drive them into further desperation? Since it is much more easier to "push" these products to them then anyone else! Even her "15 eye Dzi bead" cannot help, you still consider a lower number of eye Dzi bead... Surely.. my toes are laughing all the way... for those buying such rubbish! Pure and simple, rubbish!

Dear Anon, 1. As the saying goes Many roads lead to Rome. 2. Similarly there are different methods of taking compass directions. If followed closely will come to the same results. For those who know how to use the Luo Pan to take readings, then that is fine i.e. learned from a proper source. 3. I always believe that one must follow a method `totally'. It is best to avoid `reading' between the lines i.e. hear of one method, read it half-way and continue with another method. 4. The method proposed in this site is listed under: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/cecilcompass.htm The above method is soley based on using an ordinary compass. Let's not mix an apple and an orange and c…

    1. Frankly, one should not be too unduly concerned about bunk beds, for the following reasons:- 1.1 If we sleep under a bunk bed, one will notice that it is a a large flat piece above us - usually spring and mattress. 1.2 Compare this to a real beam. A real beam is a concentrated piece, usually a supporting beam for a column or structure of a home. It is this concentred beam (usually concrete mixture with supporting steel structure) OR it could be a large wooden beam. 2. For those constantly seating or sleeping under Para 1.2 , should be concerned with. 3. Bunk beds have been around for many (many) years. Only need to balance the sickness stars for these two configurations. 1.3 Under P8, South and East also do enjoy favourable wealth qi. Dear Cheui May, In view of your request for a `better' understanding of some of the online reports such as " Balance of the Five Elements "; We have created a new topic in this forum " Learn more about Online Reports " where we will help to clarify or elaborate any questions relation to the interpretation of such reports and what to look for. The number of online reports have grown tremendously and there are quite a no. of them. We will try to add as many of them into the above Topic as soon as possible. Warmest Regards, Cecil
