Dear Glyn, Truly sad to hear about the series of mishaps. On the surface, like you mentioned it looks like the effect of the Grand Duke. Perhaps, Shapes and Form may (or may not) be a further cause of it especially if the building profile has been `altered'. This is because, Shapes and Form has been known to result in such tragedies. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  8. Hello shifus! My husband's and my life gua are both 2 and I think my house gua is 8.(if my back is facing front entrance, I am facing SW direction) - same for my master bedroom, For sleeping direction, I am deciding if it should be facing NE or SW. From research is both seems auspicious. SW facing will be same as current planned layout. However the line of vision is towards other houses. And facing SW, line of vision will be towards the landed properties and reservoirs which we prefer. Would like to find out from your expertise which is better suited for us. Also, due to space contraints it has already been decided that my study/computers will face the SW d…

  9. These are some of the considerations:- 1. An ordinary compass may be affected by metal near-by. Thus if one's home has concrete with steel-re-bar in it; the compass readings may affect the compass. 2. In fact, it is always best to take a compass reading even outside of the home especially on a grass area (but again) some grass areas may have embedded metallic items. 3. Thus, take a few readings or use the street directory type of reading... do a search and there are some examples of doing so. 4. Frankly, it does not matter whether you take a reading from the pillow, the centrepoint of the bedroom, the living room; so long as the compass needle always matches and does not…

    1. All three may be considered "herbs" of sorts. Pomelo leaves are crushed and often used as remedies for arthritis & aches. 2. The closest equivalent "Chinese" thing is as you had mentioned from the citus family. In Asia, there are at least three variants of the citrus plants - many that have adapted to their country. 3. The citrus fruit especially lime is also used for "cleansing rituals/beliefs". For example, when someone felt that he/she has bad luck - flower bathing ritual includes a cut lime (cut into two pieces) combined with the flower - after a bathe to symbolically wash away bad luck... 3. While ecucalyptus can also be used, abeit, more exotic than the a…

Hello. We are considering buying a north tzu facing home with a facing palace conditional interaction of 2/7. (Built in 6th cycle) But since it’s facing north, it’s not in a waxing, strong, or malevolent phase. Does that mean there is no conditional interaction for this home? Please help. I’m basing my research on Eva Wong’s Master course in Feng Shui. Thank you.

Dear Mr Cecil, We did use your awesome services for Home Audit (2006) and Selection of Baby Name (2007). Now, we're going to do renovation, we want to install the mirror facing dining table. It's actually mirror door for the cabinet. Would you please advice on these followings: 1. Should I install full length from floor to ceiling if need to reflect the full human body (not being cut on the neck or legs)? However, it'll be quite heavy for the door with such a big panel (min measurement 60 x 290 cm). Or can I just have the height of human size (60 x 180 cm)? which parts of body MUST be reflected i…

In Singapore, it is very common to find many shops selling "ancient-Chinese coins". But do take note that these are often imitation coins. And in-fact, imitation coins are good enough to be used. This is because a real geniune ancient Chinese coin can costs as much as S$25 or USD$13 each. In Singapore, I believe, the last time I was around this area; one can get the coins for as little as 50 cents to S$1 at the Bencoolen Building:- http://www.streetdirectory.com.sg/map.jsp?masterID=29016&postal=187951&building_name=&road_name=WATERLOO%20STREET&house_blk_no=42&heading=&&x=30231.36&y=31582.97&level=7&iconlist=star,30231.36,31582…

Dear Maritza, More importantly, you need to protect the most vulnerable window. For example, this is where the movement of cars seem to come `towards' the windows. Firstly adequate curtains at this location. Next, a row of plants parallel to the window. You may like to consider a Ba Gua mirror in the middle (above the window) for added protection. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, If your house is not too big, then, one should not try to divide each room into sectors. But instead, look at the centrepoint of the house. From the centrepoint, you should be able to properly determine where is the North, NE, South etc... of each area. For a start, it is best to understand fundamental Shapes and Forms Feng Shui. As usually, this is one of the key ingredients or one of the key success factors in the Feng Shui of any house. After this, than, you can explore the use of the Eight House etc... There are some resources at: http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm And if you are in no hurry, try to understand more, before `jumping the wagon' into Feng …
