  1. Dear Kristina, 1. In my opinion, based on your initial feedback that the hous is beautiful, large and airy... you could perhaps, first apply the adage " If it ain't broken, don't fix it.". 2. Many people, actually do not need the help or `assistance' of Feng Shui to prosper or enjoy good luck. 3. This is because, majority of the time, a house with good Shapes and Forms (both external and internal of the house) provides a quantum leap in `LUCK'. 4. Feng Shui and other Chinese divinity methods is in some sense, all about increasing one's `LUCK'. 5. If one has a quantum leap i.e. excellent Shapes and Form; this is already a significant boost in LUCK. Any additional increa…

  2. These are some considerations: 1. Cremation is neutral i.e. "ashes to ashes". 2. Therefore, there is no major issue in it's placement. 3. Under Vastu Principles (Indian concept of Feng Shui); best not to place their puja (altar room / table) aligned NE to SW and vice versa. 4. Under Feng Shui principles; Para 3 (coincidentally) applies. As NE and SW are suppose to be portals i.e. one for the "spiritual or some say devil's - main door" and the other " their backdoor". Otherwise, other sectors ain't that bad. 5. Para 4 and 5 applies to an altar and any objects figurines placed at these NE / SW sectors and vice versa. 6. Maybe the Egyptians place their cat near-by to their t…

Dear Marci, Please see below:- -----Original Message----- Frankly, the rationale for finding the main entrance door is then to `calculate' the birth chart of the house. For this purpose, if we are not certain which door to use, a Feng Shui Master can do a calculation to find out which door is more suitable. In your case, for the `front' of the apartment, you could `soften' the wall by e.g. hanging a decorative painting to soften the wall e.g. a scenery painting or hanging a scroll. As for your back door, you can't do much here other than to `hide' the toilet e.g. close the door when not in use. Cecil

These are some of the considerations:- 1. Both use the lowest common denominator: Yin and Yang with The Five Elements concept. 2. Ba zi and Zi Wei Dou Shu can be as general or can be as detailed: thus sometimes; even no two ba zi analysis could beconsidered as equal. 2.1. For example, ba zi can be as detailed as possible: with as many variables in it: Year , Month, Day, Hour and for the living two more pillars : House of Life and House of Conception. (Each variable has two other variables: Heavenly stem and Earthly branches). 3. In my opinion, one should instead, firstly note what is the difference between A's analysis of Zi Wei Dou Shu vs B's, C's or D's! And what is the…

Dear Linh, Thanks for the lastest drawing. I now have a better picture of what you mean. 1. As a general guideline, one has to avoid `posion arrows'. If you notice the inverted tray, check for any sharp corners. These sharp corners at the bottom of the `tray' seems to me like pointing downwards. Hopefully, it is pointed towards any part of the bed. 2. If the corners are rounded, this is acceptable and thus not considered a poision arrow. Yes, if possible this `tray' ceiling arrangement should be avoided if you can. 3. The sides of the `tray' is symbolic of ceiling beams and it is best to sit below this area as it is also considered as having negative qi. Warmest Regards, …

Dear Constance King, constance king wrote: hello cecil, am wondering as weak water does it matter if i should wear yellow gold or white gold or rose gold as long as it is metal? Generally, in feng shui, we can define an item by the material or shape or colour. You see most items you can't run away from the material it is made from. So in your above case, all are metal material. Butut if you look at the colours, then you can add another level of five element analysis. For example, Yellow gold is more Earth, white gold is more Metal, rose gold is more pinkish is more Fire element. If you look at it from a pratical standpoint. White Gold will draw less attention as it …

  9. Master Lee, Since my last correspondance to you, I 've moved my bed where my head will be pointing East when I sleep. I hope the following description provides you a visual of what my room looks like: [____East____SE wall__________Window(SE/S)____] [East Wall: Bed closet along part of S wall] [windowalong E/NE wall.1 ft closet] of headboard overlaps window [NE/N wallSWwall] [N__________NW wall___________________Door (West)] I've place a wooden screen with pictures covering the window on the East wall. The room actually "feels" better but I want to tap into my best direction. I would really appreciate your feedback. Thank you. Kind regards, Olivia

    1. In general, based on the general concept of water in Feng Shui; for majority of homes other than those that have been determined to have UP mountain (or frontage having mountain position); 2. Generally, water feature at most sites and home's frontage are generally acceptable. 3. The only concern in water Feng Shui principles is the difference between digging a hole to place water e.g. a dug up area in the garden to place a pond. Here, if there is a mountain star #8 at the sector; this is very inauspicious; as it is like digging a hole; place water to DROWN the mountain. 4. Generally, the safest bet if one is igorant of Flying Star numbers is to simply install a water …

Dear Anon, Here, the principle of `since one cannot see it, it no longer becomes a threat' cannot be applied. This is because, the bed is not a poison arrow where, the threat can be neutralised if it is covered up from This is because, symbolically, you are still sleeping on the bed. (Even though, it is say covered with a bed sheet). No matter how, one is still `smbolically' sleeping on the same `divided' bed. At the moment, I cannot think of any solution with this divide. However, one can still use the Flying Star to check whether there is any inauspicious stars particularly at the bedroom especially the bad star relating to romance. Warmest Regards, Cecil

In my opinion, these are some considerations: 1. Often, not an issue unless 1.1. there are too many left over items such as large amounts of pebbles or stones. 1.2. This is not Feng Shui, but avoid placing it at corridors or areas when rain water may flood into the fish tank (mosquito breeding). Otherwise, I don't think there is any issue with the empty fish tank.

Dear Anon, 1. Usually, the advise is not to use too many crystal balls. This case was because, this person used trial and error Feng Shui and would place a cluster e.g. more than 5 or 6 crystal balls at a particular location. It happened that he placed the crystal ball at a location, nothing happened and he placed more at the particular location. Therefore, there is a difference between using one crystal ball and over indulgence using so many crystal balls. We have to clearly understand the distinction between the two. I am thus concerned if one `over indulge' or `over eats' in such a situation. 2. At another location, he bought a water fountain and pla…

Dear David, It is best to read up on Shapes and Form School of Feng Shui also. You can either read up the resources on thie website or any other books written by Traditional Feng Shui practioners on this subject. As you mentioned, it will help you to understand the exterior of your home e.g. the site where the house is on. If you are using the Eight House Analysis, make sure that you use a compass to find the North to South direction of your house and then superimpose the Eight House template onto your house layout plan. Follow the instructions provided under http://www.geomancy.net/fs/house1.htm If I am not mistaken, you mentioned the `Fixed' template format. Where you l…

As each of us have our own birth-chart. (The date we were born) Even for a home or an apartment: it also has it's own birth-chart. (A home can be classified as belonging to one of the periods. Thus brand new homes completed recently are Period 8 (between 2004 to 2023). When selecting the best colour scheme for a room. For example, in the attachment. The bedroom is located at West. And it is called bedroom 3. Here, the Flying Star chart is plotted to reveal what is the preferred colour for that room. And if a child or two children are to occupy it; then the earlier colour chart for an individual child or a combined both children's chart are considered in addition to the at…

  20. Hi, Sorry for the late reply. As this message was sent anonymous, it does not go into the mailing list and we do not login every day to view the web message. If you do so there will be a protrusion in this sector. Normally, for a house it is not advisable for a house to have protrusion especially in the true cardinal directions (North, South, East, West). Under Feng Shui interpretation, it is best not to have protrusion at the North. You can still use the existing center point. However one caution:- 1. Your Flying Star of the house may change. This is especially if your house is built in the period 6 or less (1983 and below). This means that if you have good star…

Frankly, in my opinion; these are some of the considerations: 1. There are/could/may be many variables related to your question. 2. First and foremost is also "culture". Although I believe India is trying to abolish the caste system; it is still widespread. Most likely this is not the issue, here. 3. Correct me if I am wrong; as I have heard / seen documentaries of how some Indian husbands / family (treat or even mistreat) their wifes or worse... 4. Thus; this is one major aspect that may / can / would affect the outcome. 5. Given that in the Indian culture; there are many Astrologers that "perform" the same tasks as Chinese Geomancers; if you want to go on this route; t…

Hi, The `secret' ingredient for Garden Feng Shui is always -> Plants/Trees. This is because with surrouding Plants/Trees, you get birds coming to the house. It is good to have birds around the house and this is considered auspicious. In general, it is equally good to have a bird feeder so long as: 1. It is not of an " odd " shaped that may represent a `monster', or any unknown figurine. 2. It does not have pointed arrows that point towards the main entrance door or a window of the house. 3. Any objects or figurines with open mouth pointing towards the house. I remembered reading one of Evelyn Lips book where there was this "frog" with an open mouth facing a rich man's…

  25. 1. Since this is a home office, you can treat the home office sector within the home's Flying Star Chart - especially since it is not a large area. 2. Thus, you can super-impose the Flying Star (pie chart or 9 grid) and determine the sector star influences within that sector based on the actual home's facing direction. 3. You can also apply the Eight House concept to see if you are able to sit facing a good direction especially: "Prosperity" and/or "Excellent" sector. Anonymous wrote: Dear Master, I would also like to know if you do onsite consulting for clients outside of your country. With thanks. 4.
