  1. The flying star chart that is generated for is a 20-year char which last from 1984 to 2003. However, if the house is not renovated in anyway after 2003, the chart is still valid. When the stars move around, the feng shui will change. Thus, there is such a thing a yearly chart and even monthly chart. These report will be available at a later time. Warmest Regards Robert Lee

Dear Anon, 1. Firstly, is there any other better alternatives then to place bamboo strips? For example, if it is a window, so long as you have closed the window or it is part of the balcony the balcony glass is on the side facing the main door such that qi cannot flow out directly. 2. If the above alternative is used, then no need to consider bamboo strips. 3. If you still have to use bamboo strips, then the "test" is so long as we humans can "see thru" the bamboo strips to our main door; then equally, it is fine to place it at the location mentioned. 4. As for the frosted glass so long as it is not reflective (like a mirror) it would be acceptable especially if it is…

    1. There are three major considerations if Feng Shui is applied to evaluate the new private property:- 1.1. Commonsense Approach to Feng Shui Morning and Afternoon sun is a major consideration for any home especially for countries like Singapore at or close to the equator. Majority of the time it is either the master bedroom or two bedrooms of the homes that will be "bathed" by afternoon sun. (Direct morning sun is not ideal but not as bad as afternoon sun. This forum has touched on some of the concerns of afternoon sun and it has an effect on persons living in the home. For children, their studies - the heat... 1.2. Further to what I had mentioned earlier, Why is there no worries about Obsessivecompulsive disorder = OCD? Majority of homes should easily weather themselves from bad situations with or without Feng Shui. Those who want to play safe, can have the benefit of applying some of these concepts:- * Fix-the-Leak, First! * Situational Approach * The Concept of Maximizing Marks * The Concept of Feng Shui by Exception * The Customer Engineer Concept * The Three-Step-Approach You mean to say that in addition to all your worldly concerns each year; for some; ensuring that their child has everything for the coming new year school semester; your job; your family needs; yet..…

Dear Allison, 1. In my opinion, once one bought the house and unless there is a drastic move (most of the time impossible or impractial to change the location) of the toilet. 2. There is really not much one can do. However, as a comfort: usually, if the toilets are in particular located with at least of the walls sharing an external wall; this is considered overall acceptable. 3. Here, contrast this to worst-off senarios like toilets at the centrepoint (the reason why it is better to have the toilet sharing an external wall - thus impossible in such a situation to have the toilet at the centrepoint of the house). 4. Usually the concept of the Eight House is that if one do…

These are some considerations: 1. In my opinion, what you are trying to practise is in my knowledge simply called "Pseudo-Fung SWAY". Or simply "deceptive Fung-the-Sway. 2. It is akin to taking a sugar coated pill and later on feeling good about it. 3. Actually the main purpose of finding the correct "frontage" which many automatically assume is the main entrance. 4. Purpose of finding the main frontage is for the purpose of working out the "correct" Flying Star chart. 5. As for suitability of the home; it is often mere deception or Pseudo-Fung the Sway that if we can change to our best direction; don't you think for some feel "damn" good about it? 6. This exegeration of …

Dear Anon, The main purpose of checking whether the two bedroom doors faces each other is based on one of the principles of Shapes and Form School where if there are two doors especially two bedroom doors that face each other, most likely there is a tendency for `rilvary'. As you have confirmed that it is rather a "triangle effect," there is less of this possibility. As the triangle effect is less known situation. Frankly, I do not want to be disappointed but there is no known direct relationship between Feng Shui and sibling rilvary. The closest to it is the Chinese Astrology signs e.g. http://www.lovesigns.net that looks at each person's characteristics based on their …

Dear Julie, Thank you for your description. In my opinion, it looks like your main door is not under any `threat'. A `threat' is where one of the pillars seems to slice thru the main door i.e. if one stands at the main entrance looking out; one of the pillars should not be slicing into the main door area. Overall, in my opinion also, the square pillars are of minimal or negligble `threat'. This is unlike the `mass' of a large building's edge. In my opinion, it is perfectly acceptable in your situation (unless one of the pillars slice thru the main entrance door area). If this is the case, a 6 rod metal wind chime can be used above the main door. Or the placement of two …

There are various varieties of bamboos. These bamboos were recently planted at the newly T.O.P. condo : Livia at Pasir Ris. Unlike trees that have a single tree trunk; bamboos grow and multiply in clusters. Some matured bamboo clusters are much thicker than the one shown in the photos. As bamboos contain pockets of "spaces" or "air"; just imagine, if the bamboos were not properly maintained, e.g. cut-off partially, it could easily contain or rather retain stagnant water. And thus as a result become breeding points for mosquitoes.. In many situations, snakes.. may take refuge also in the undergrowth of bamboo stocks.. Again, the above explaination; is based purely on: Com…

Cecil's Attached Note: Yew-Meng, appreciate if you can attach the picture again as it did not show up in this message. Thanks, Cecil Hello Cecil, Further to our conversation, I have attached a copy of the land site that I was speaking about. The meandering black line is the river and where a man stands, is the site that I was speaking about. I hope the map of the river would give you a better picture of what we were talking about. Many thanks. Regards, Yew-Meng.

Dear Vikas, Apologies, I have to read between the lines, as I really do not like, going thru a chunk of information, that has too many values (computation values) for analysis. In Feng Shui, there are some misconceptions on the locations of North and South. Some would totally advise avoiding placing fire at the North. Since fire and water does not mix. Alternatively, at the South, some say cannot have water positions in this location. In my opinion, this is a wrong conception. In many cases, some Feng Shui practitioners have (even by mistake) allowed water to be at the south and fire at the north and vice versa. This interaction between the two, is contrary to the above p…

  19. 1. Usually, for such instances, it is best to get professional help especially if you are uncertain whether it is True or not. 2. Sometimes, your measurement(s) are not accurate - i.e. false alarm. 3. If it is true that your home falls on the void line, then it is best to get professional help to assess the situation and provide further advise. 4. If you want to DIY, then one of the most common methods is to purchase a "copper" ruler; re-do the front door floor tiles and embed the ruler strategically at an angle from the void line. This is one of the most common methods.

Two " Fu Dogs " are normally placed on top of the pillars of the entrance gate more for `luck' and to guard the house. It is still advisable to use other Feng Shui cures e.g. using a semi-circle carpet or pakua or even changing the direction of the door (for those who want to). Fu Dogs are used to `guard' the house and thus not really `cure' adverse sha.

Nowadays, even if one is considered rich; take the case of Michael Jackson; in my opinion; with his (past) high costs of living; money can easily go down the drain in just a matter of years, months or even days! So nowadays, even if one is rich or born with a silver spoon; this may not be enough! And how many people can say that they were born that way.. Many still need to work.. Because of this; the greater dependence of luck now comes from both Earth (Feng Shui) and Human (Man) Luck factors! Depending on individuals; these two type of luck may not also be of equal standing.. for all persons, all the time... Think of it like a ballon; one ball may expand, while the other…
