    1. Early, I am referring to real water. 2. Another form of "water" or some refer it as "yin" water is possible. Yin water can be considered as colours or e.g. wall paint &/or curtains &/or bed sheet. 3. Water element in terms of colours: Blue, black or grey or shades of them. It can also be wavy pattern. 4. You might want to use colours instead or "Yin water instead". But definitely not REAL water especially an aquarium in the bedroom. 5.In this modern commercial times; where everthing is "in the name of Feng Shui"; frankly, many have the idea thatsuccessfullFeng Shui isabout enhancing wealth and thinks ways and meansto try enhancing their home not knowing th…

  3. These are some considerations:- 1. Usually you need to laise with two parties:- 1.1 the government body or those in-charge of exhumation 1.2 They will get in touch with the grave digger(s). In fact, grave diggers are more worried about getting the correct protocol done! As they feel that they are equally affected if they do the wrong thing! 1.3 For example, whenever those in the know; would place a canvas sheet above the grave before digging it. 1.4 Usually, a representative of the family would be present: to later give a hong bao (red packet). 1.5 If possible avoid bringing youngsters to the site. Youngsters upto 12 years old should avoid being present. Never accep…

  6. 1. Since this is a home office, you can treat the home office sector within the home's Flying Star Chart - especially since it is not a large area. 2. Thus, you can super-impose the Flying Star (pie chart or 9 grid) and determine the sector star influences within that sector based on the actual home's facing direction. 3. You can also apply the Eight House concept to see if you are able to sit facing a good direction especially: "Prosperity" and/or "Excellent" sector. 9. Csar Ritz (born 1850 to 1918) was a famous founder of several hotels. Notably, The Hotel Ritz in Paris. In short, there was a hygiene scare when the hotel opened. During those days the hotel has valvet wall paper and heavy drape curtains and shared toilets. WhenRitz tookcharge of the hotel; he made sure thateach hotel room hasit's own toilet. He made sure that hygiene was a top priority and hemake sure that the walls ofeach room were white-washed and atthe same time; he got brass beds installed in each of the hotel room. 10. Thanks for giving me a better understanding of the 5-element and bazi. At first, after reading about using bazi to calulate compatibility and using 5-element concept to create balance, I thought it could also be applied to a family unit to enhance harmony, didn't quite understand. I suppose I misunderstood its application. Best regards Paul Wangchuk

    1. Feng Shui has two major schools: 1.1. Shapes and Forms Feng Shui; 1.2. Compass School Feng Shui: Eight House and Flying Star 2. I can only comment on Para 1.1: this is a general advice forum and not a I do it for you sort of thing: It is so easy to add the compass direction, but there is a lot of work needed for such an evaluation. And often it also has to include the breadwinners date n time of birth. If you can, DIY on your own.

  12. 1. Yes, the number of hobs is one consideration. Hops as in the stove burner. And often, the Flying Star chart is looked at to futher fine tune whether the hobs are either even or odd number(s). 2. Traditionally, matt finished stainless steel is OK. 3. One Feng Shui school of thought considers it "inauspicious" to have a highly reflective glass behind the stove. Or a highly polished reflective stainless steel material. As this School felt that a home should not have TWO stoves. And such a reflective mirror symbolises a home having two stoves. Here, the conotation is that the male partner will have to "support" two partners e.g. a wife and a mistress = TWO STOVES. 4. We…

The only caution with using light cream or beige is; if say a bedroom is painted light cream or beige; and the ceiling lights is also "warm yellowish" lighting. If so, a bedroom that has any of the following combinations of 20 Year Flying Star numbers:- Mountain star = #5 or #2 or #9 with Water star = #5 or #2 or #9 with In such a situation, the best "cure" is to use "cool daylight" lighting. This is because "Warm white" or yellowish coloured light when turned on in a bedroom looks yellowish and this is further accentuated by the bedroom having light cream wall. Just imagine even when we wear a white shirt; when we turn on a "yellowish" lamp; the shirt looks "yellowi…

If one does not want to apply or has no means to apply say the Flying Star Feng Shui: "Can I place a water feature at location marked as X?". Then have to go by Trial and Error Type of Feng Shui. The most logical choice is to apply the concept, that I had coined many years back called " The Customer Service Engineer " Effect. This concept credits the way IBM Customer Service Engineer trouble-shoots "problems". Check out this "ancient" link and the term "Customer Service Engineer" .... http://forum.geomancy.net/phpforum/article.php?bid=2&fid=6&mid=2736&new=

Yes, this is a pretty common senairo for many apartments. Anonymous wrote: Hi there, I have the same issue where the front door is directly aligned with the back sliding door but my property is a condo and will be too small to put up a screen or partition; is there anything else that can be done? Perhaps with the use of crystals? Thank you! Often, these are the common senarios:- 1. Often, we can draw "down" the curtain. And the curtain can act as a partial screen. 2. If it is a sliding door, then, slide the fixed panel towards the side directly facing the main door. 3. If we have a tall cabinet e.g. a tall tv cabinet. This is a plus point.

Frankly, determining an industry or job specification is based on a certain mastery of the Five Elements Concept and also Mandarin characters. In some sense, your question is like: why are there only 5 elements: metal, water, wood, fire and earth? This sort of question. Anonymous wrote: Thank you very much for answering my query re career element. May I ask also, what are the characteristics of a metal element career? I understand that a metal career would include finance, entertainment, politics etc...what do they have in common? Thank you once again for sharing your time and expertise. Have a great day !

    1. Really sorry to hear about it. (The constructions coincide withthe two of the worst sectors for this year 2010) 2. In the meantime, the best that can be done (crossing fingers) is to place "metal" between your home and the "offending" construction(s):- 2.1. Temporary purchase those aluminium foil and if windows or bay window areas at waist height face the construction then consider temporary placing aluminium foils. And for open areas (without damaging the fixtures) try to hang wind-chime to "counter" partially the issue(s). 3. As for shifting to another home:- 3.1 One major concern is hopefully the next apartment is a better one than this one else, it goes back to squ…

  20. These are some of the considerations:- 1. If you are looking at a home / stack / apartment from a Feng Shui point of view:- 1.1. Feng Shui is based on two major schools:- 1.1.1 The Shapes and Forms : The landscape, the site, the building or block, the stack 1.1.2 Compass School: Flying Star and Eight House 2. The familar lingo: "LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION". 2.1 Not only half the battle is won, but rather the FULL battle is won, when a property has good: Location, location and location. 2.2 And this L, L, L falls under? The Shapes and Forms Feng Shui (full-stop). 3. Thus, if one has excellent L, L, L no need to even consider the other Compass School Feng Shui to squeeze …

  21. Aquick reply on the bench:- 1. As you had mentioned, it has been for a few years. And low and neat and tidy. In my opinion, therefore, will not affect the Feng Shui that much (if any). 2. As the frontage of your main door is considered bright (or still) able to have "bright hall" effect which is good. 3. So no need to take drastic steps in removing it. 4. Earlier, I mentioned, when you placed the bench, it a sense, symbolically, to some people, it means that "your cares" are only up to the bench area. Thus, in a sense, in my opinion, to your neighbour, perhaps, implies that they can do anything they want "out of this" boundary - that's all.

  22. 4. Is thereany concernif a bedroom door face a storage door? The stuff inside the storage are used/unused toys, linens, pots, dinnerware, and the like. Please see sketch 2. ANS: The concept of symbolism in Feng Shui. Under symbolism; best not to see things like "toy knifes / guns". And any other sharp objects facing the bedroom. 5. How about a master's bedroom door facing the door to the open deck? Is this an issue? Please see sketch 2. ANS: The concept of "coffin position" i.e. avoid legs facing bedroom door or an opening such an opening say towards an open deck. Or for some homes that have external wall that is made of glass; avoid legs facing towards "such an opening".…

These are additional considerations:- 1. Earth luck is strongest on the ground. Thus for a landed property, the sitting and facing direction is much easier to get correct: unless the land is complicated by e.g. the back of the home faces a beautiful lake etc... 2. But if your "potential house" is really not a landed property but a so called high rise; What makes one think that you can get the facing direction 100 percent correct? Even amongst geomancers; can't agree with the sitting and facing direction. 3. As mentioned under Para 2; G.I.G.O. If one feels that facing direction is West but instead the real facing direction is another facing direction.... 4. Facing west si…
