General Help

Seek General Advice from Master Cecil Lee

  1. Started by foulte,

Dear Ritter, `Fixed' template or Feng Shui based on Eight Associations or Life Associations on its own is considered too general to be of specific use. Concepts where one must leave the Romance corner "alone" and enhanced is in my opinion like kindergarden teaching in Feng Shui. What happens if SW is the toilet? Does it mean that one must place flowers on the toilet bowl cover and each time when we use it, remove the flowers. Worse still, can we never have romance since SW is in the toilet? The relation flushed into the toilet each time we have one? In my opinion, the above " concept " does not take into account or personalised to an individual. What happens if everyone s…

  2. The main idea is to have good ventilation. So long as the plant does not inadvertently block the qi, this is fine or Ok. I would prefer say a fan vs this plant thing. Dear Phei Shen, Frankly, there is not much one can do unless you move out of the bedroom. Pay more emphasis or try to avoid where possible, the toilet bowl or any sewerage pipes directly above the bed. Or other water pipes that may be DIRECTLY above the bed. Here it is a case of `not so good' Shapes and Form Feng Shui where not much can be done unless, one moves out of the room. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Cecil Can you advise if it is really a taboo to have a bedroom that sits underneath 1) an antenna of a building? 2) watertank of a building? As the unit is on the highest floor, it is unavoidable to have these 2 above the bedrooms. What remedy can be taken? Thank you so much, Cecil.

hi master, my bedroom is under the water tank of my condo block, as I'm on the top floor. is this an issue, and how can I rectify it? thank you, Angie

  6. Dear Karen, 1. Honestly, there is not much that can be done in such a situation. 2. According to the Commonsense approach to Feng Shui, the primary concern is the increased likelihood of a fire originating from the kitchen. Therefore, it is generally not advisable to have a bedroom, door, or wall adjacent to the kitchen. However, in contemporary settings, the installation of fire sprinklers (or, if unavailable, the strategic placement of smoke detectors) is highly recommended. 3. If your residence is constructed with brick walls (or solid brick walls), it is preferable compared to having gypsum or wooden walls that separate the bedroom from the kitchen area…

  7. Dear Rosie, Perhaps you can generate a Free Flying Star report. Most probably, there is an influence of sickness star #2 or even #5 within the sector of your son's bedroom. A metal cure depending on the level of imbalance at the sector could be used if the above analysis is correct. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  8. Respected Sir, Thank you for your guidance on the issue of my flat. I sincerely apologize for the following: 1) My DOB which is 25.08.1968. 2) Secondly for the purpose of 8 rod metal windchime in the northeast window. I read in one of the FENG SHUI books locally in Mumbai (India) that hanging a 8 rod metal windchime in THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE HOUSE/LIVING ROOM INVITES INFLUENTIAL PEOPLE. I will be in touch with you as for more queries on my family members.

You wrote: 1.) Will there be issue if my feet faces the sliding glass door to the walk-in wardrobe? I heard that it is very bad fengshui to have feet from bed facing doors. In real life situations, especially for some who live in a landed property. If a coffin was brought into the home for the final rites; the deceased person's legs were to face the main entrance door. This is common sense. As when the time to sent the casket away, this is the most efficient method. Thus for an apartment; frankly, even if your legs face your Walk-in wardrope entrance, it does not fit the above two paragraphs I wrote earlier. So, it should not be an issue. Unless, the legs face the bedro…

i heard that one's legs should not pointing directly to the door. So, if my bed is located on the left of my bedroom, but sometimes when i sleep, i found that my legs are pointing to the directly to the door (45 degrees) from my bed. This is the only way i can place my bed. So, am i sleeping in the "death" position? What are the cures for this? Thk you.

Dear Louise, 1. In a duplex home, it is still best to also look at the Shapes and Forms of your house in relation to the landscape and site of the house. 2. For a duplex house, you can still find the centrepoint of your duplex unit. And from there, look at it in relationship with compass direction found in each of the rooms. Warmest Regards, Cecil

  13. Dear Anon, Most likely, your friend or friend's family don't have any elderly in need of aid such as wheelchair bound or walking stick! In addition, some elderly or even those who may have some illness such as diabetes that may need to go toilet often. Tell them to "enjoy" walking up and down the home. In addition, for us Chinese, we do cook alot : lots of wet ingredients. Tell it to us, to first bring up our marketing items.. hopefully prawns don't leak it's contents on the walkway etc... Later, need to dispose of it. Don't get me wrong, I like the "idea". But. as especially for the Chinese, many of us live with our parents, especially to look after them. Not to "…

    1. Frankly, spook or irritation are very close. Unless it is disaster vs spook or irritation or death vs spook or irritation, then there is a "vast" difference. 2. Thus in general, when it comes to the "eight house" or using it to allocate a bedroom; very hard to differentiate between spook or irritation. 3. And it seems that both children are of the "west" group, have to just go with your feel. Alternatively, if one is able to draw a flying star chart, then see which bedroom can match their bazi colours. For example, say the bedroom at the SW is better suited for some colours based on the flynig star. While some colours are to avoid. E.g. the bedroom should avoid Eart…

  15. Hi Mr Lee, would like to seek your advice regarding my apartment floor plan as shown in the image. As you can see, bedroom 2 and master bedroom are odd shaped and their room doors open into where the beds are going to be positioned (i.e., when you walk in at a straight line from the door, will walk into the bed). My understanding is that the worse placement is where the beds are in line with the room door such that when you lie in bed, your feet is facing straight line to the door. How about situations where the room door is facing the sides of the bed? Is this seriously not good? Any simple fixes that are not too intrusive? Do you think it is ok to live with this w…

Dear Marcus, In the west, bees generally signifies industrious and hardworking. For the Chinese, there is very little significance attached to bees. The only significance is that when it is associated with a monkey... a monkey and bee implies the hope for a promotion. I believe, that it is certainly a good sign for you:) Wishing you all the best on your new job! Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, This is quite subjective and there are differing opinions on this. You have added a further `twist' by indicating that it can be seen from the side. If you MUST do it, `try it' and willing to share with us your findings, that will be great. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. If the apartment is high; i.e. if one looks out of the window and cannot see the pole; then it is not a threat. 2. Often, an apartment that is higher than 4th storey, would not have a lone lamp post slicing into it. 3. In several studies, there were no reported evidence that power lines cause `Sha qi'. - Magnetism from powerlines is unlike radiation e.g from the sun or micro-wave etc... 4. For the barren field, it is ok if it is not an entire `long stretch' e.g. streching from several miles. If the field is e.g. a small area such as one or two foot-ball field and after this, there are building complex; it is usually ok. Warmest Regards, Cecil Warmest Regar…

As mentioned earlier; Three coins can either be symbolically hung or even placed "into the floor". This has more to do with symbolism. As three coins represents metal destroy wood to? create wealth. Thus, if one steps on the three coins; one is symbolically stepping on wealth. Three coins are meant or symbolic of "enhancement" vs 6 coins or 7 coins used traditionally as a cure. The difference between them and modern commercial products are:- 1.1. One characteristic of a modern commercial product is usually a geomancer or a seller would or might say: You have to buy this. Where? Buy from me or can only work if bought from me. And often, these are highly marked up and costs…

Dear Steven, 1. Thanks very much for the information and most of us will look forward for the future phots of the antic bells. 2. There are quite alot of `inventions' or `cures' or enhancers in the market. Overall, I believe bells are near eqivalent of wind chimes as they make noise. Some Feng Shui practitioners prefer the use of grandfather (or pendulum) clocks as it makes a constant `tine' or tick tock metal sound. 3. In Hong Kong, some practitioners or manufacturers also come up with things like Qi detector. Once again, many thanks:) Warmest Regards, Cecil
