Dear Cecil, Thank you for the prompt reply. It's very enlightening. I guess this house is ok in terms of its dragon hill and tiger hill as the left side of the house is higher. The house direction I'm still not sure. Do you know of any reliable FS master who can help me out here? Thanks alot for the info. Regards, Ann

Please see below:- Yes, ideally, your head should face one of your 4 good directions. For example, if the South is your Nien Yen, your head should face this direction. It is still best to sleep in your present room especially if this is only a `make shift' room and also if it is small. One point to note is that this room should have a window as it is not auspicious to sleep in a room without a window. Under the Eight Association or Eight Aspirations or Life Aspirations, you can activate the South West corner of your room and (overall) in your South West corner of your house any `romantic' items e.g. a vase of rose; a valentine card, a photo frame of you and your…

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: My facing is actually N1 but the main door is in the sector SW under flying star. Under period 8 it is star 5, f9, s7. Anonymous wrote: 5,9,7 is this a good combination? Under the period 8, unfortunately this isn't a good flying star combination. 5 (Strong Earth) - Inauspicious Sickness Star, 7 (weak metal) - Inauspicious Robbery Star, 9 (weak fire) - Average Future Prosperity Star. The combination is such at instead of enhancing the future prosperity star. This star influence is being converted to activate the inauspicious stars stronger. As such, it is considered overall inauspicious sector. Water and Wood element essential to help con…

1. Usually this is not a major concern unless the WC pipes are directly opposite (behind) the stove and vice-versa. Otherwise, there is no major concern or issue. 2. Under Traditional Feng Shui, some Feng Shui practitioners (symbolism) may advice placing a hulu (bottle gourd) e.g. inside the kitchen cabinet between the two walls. Anonymous wrote: Please help. My kitchen shares the same wall as the bathroom, and the stove shares the same wall back to back with the toilet. I know it's totally bad, and what can I do to minimize the damage? Thanks!!

Can you elaborate further what you mean by `missing section' -- are you referring to your rectangular shaped house? At which direction is the missing corner? As for a triangular lot, where possible, you should do some landscaping to `remedy the situation. Do let me know the above.. thanks in advance! -----Original Message-----

Dear Bless, For a mirror in the bedroom, the most favourable place is on your dressing table provided the dressing table is not facing your bed. It can be from the level of the dressing table and it should not `cut-off' part of your head. Therefore, the mirror need NOT be of full height from " tip to toe ". The mirror should also not face the toilet door, such that when you come out of the toilet and see can the mirror. Mirror must also not be placed above the headrest of your bed set. You can place the mirror below a window again, it is best to place the mirror on your dressing table (which does not face your bed). Warmest Regards, Cecil Lee -----Original Message----- Fr…

1. Usually, this is not a problem:- 1.1. As most people (out of personal concern) would try to avoid having the mirror face the bed. 1.2. Thus, so long as having the dresser mirror facing "else-where" to some is far, far better than facing the bed. 1.3. In fact, as many bedrooms are small and constrained by the way the bedroom door is located, an attached toilet, a fixed wardrope cabinet; windows.. there is literally not much place or space to place it. 2. The main issue (commonsense) is that some people may be rudely awoken if the dresser mirror "suddenly" reflects the morning or afternoon sun towards the bed. You don't want to have a situation where you need to "wea…

Dear Jun, 1. In my region, acquiring a pair of flutes featuring the phoenix and dragon design is quite simple. The phoenix, symbolizing the female, is typically hung on the left side, while the dragon, representing the male, is placed on the right side, as the dragon is associated with the East. The ease of hanging such flutes is due to the importance of ensuring that the design is not inverted, allowing for easy alignment of the mouthpiece with the pictorial representation. 2. It may not be feasible to come across a pair of flutes with similar designs in your country. In my view, if your flute showcases any illustrations, it is essential to ensure that they are…

Thank you so much for your reply Cecil. I wanted to get a clear answer because the front door to a property is one of the most important aspects in feng-shui, and so I now assume that whenver I see a quote saying NEVER build a double door for a main entrance, that is pure nonsense. Thanks again.

Dear Anon, As the Pinnacle will be one of the tallest housing board apartments, usually at the higher floors, in my opinion, there is not a major issue in either looking out to the bay or city , harbour view. What is more important considerations are: 1. Commonsense approach to Feng Shui Where possible, avoid having the unit balcony, bedrooms directly facing the afternoon WEST sun. What would be worst is an apartment that is facing exactly West to East (Or East -- west) apartment. Here, the apartment will not be spared the mercy of both morning and afternoon sun! 2. Under Flying Star Feng Shui Facing directions like NE is particuarly auspicious under Period 8 (whic…

mmm... iv>not sure if you've misunderstood my concern. while you're right that the harmonising of the person is best done via the name at birth, those are in the past and cannot be readily changed. but, that in itself was not my concern.mine was more to do with the use of elemental therapies/cures; esp. for ppl like me with inbalance bazi. iv>my understanding is that my strong fire will likely result in me being more susceptable to illness in organs related to fire, like the heart etc.thus, it seems logical to think that any "cure" would include elements that either boost water or reduce fire effects. therefore, for therapies that uses infrared, which is a form of …

1. Planting an orange or lemon tree has more to do with modern western "practises" than traditional Feng Shui. 2. In addition, especially during the communist take-over of China, many Chinese fled to either Hong Kong, Taiwan, or Far East. 3. In the far east, especially in Singapore and Malaysia, the climate is too warm to support both orange and lemon trees. 4. You mentioned:".... it said something about husband will have a roving eye when you placewater feature on the right side (your inside looking outside)." I believe if you do a SEARCH in this forum, you can find lots of articles or past forum message(s) on this topic and/or check out some of the "preventive" meas…

Sorry, I hope you can clarify further what you mean by " we can only position the bed without headboard- directly under a window. " Do you mean to say that it is something similiar to a low ceiling or resembling a pillar. Thanks in advance!

1. This method is taught by some Geomancers to their aids or rather their work-hands. 2. Here, the concept is; better to get it close to the correct area than far from it. 3. In this instance, the Geomancer would often ask the novice work-hand to draw as many lines from one end or corner to another opposite side corner. 4. Where the most amount of lines that criss-crossed close-by; implies that the centrepoint is close-by. 5. In this sample example, lines drawn A to A; B to B and C to C seems to congregrate towards a small triangle (Highlighted in Yellow). 6. While there seems to be an ORPHAN line E to E which seems not to be on it's own. 7. Frankly, I don't quilte like …

Hi Cecil, Thank you so much for your FS considerations on water items. I've bought a small water fountain because I just love having one in my living area. The sound of flowing water in the fountain gives me a relaxing feeling and somehow a sense of invigorating energy in the mind. In terms of personal strength, I'm a strong earth person. My wife is a weak water person. I know that earth clashes with water. Does it mean the presence of a water fountain may have some negative affects for a strong earth person like myself and somehow affect my business decision making? I believe that water in FS is an extremely important issue. Therefore I'm reluctant to use it without some…

Dear Ben, Further to my earlier comments:- On a professional level using Compass School Feng Shui:- There may be a possibility of an inauspicious if the particular sector happens to fall under the " Legal entanglement " sector of the Flying Star Theory. Worse of all, if there is a combination of two bad stars e.g. #2 and #3. Here, it is best to keep that particular sector QUIET. Therefore, if this sector happens to require `quiet'; a vehicle moving in and out of this sector may lead to legal implications. Thus, there are many considerations to take note of. Thanks for your summary of the key-points I had mentioned earlier on `holistic' Feng Shui. This is a good or sterlin…
