  1. Started by unknown,

Dear Alice, Please always remember that true feng shui does not really need to use any items. The best way to harmonise the environment is not by putting all sorts of 'feng shui items' but rather to ensure that:- 1. You fit the environment based on suitability. 2. Colours scheme of the home/decor/car fits your element so as to gain as much luck as possible. 3. Placement of furnitures such that there is no posion arrows etc. You will find that if you follow the above, it does a lot more wonders than just using any particular items. Of course, such items if it makes you feel good, then no harm in putting it. This is because the Human Luck (whatever makes you feel good…

Hi, Please read below:- You can hang anything you want. The only thing is when you want to be concerned with Feng Shui, then you would want to hang items which are good for you rather then bad for you. Say if you a a weak wood, then hanging water type objects is beneficial for you because it is your favourable elements that help you grow. Say if you are Earth person, then hanging water type objects represents your Wealth as Earth destroy Wealth. However, please note that you should be a strong Earth to have full benefit of this because, when your earth is used to destroy water element, it gets weaken also. So it all depends. Nothing in the world is all bad. It is bad…

Hi, Well, the problems you have seems to be from either some lacking in elements in your Pillars chart which is why you got such sickness. And it could also be increased with the association of certain unfavourable elements which you should avoid or the house in which you stay in also contain sickness (2/5 stars) which may worsen the problem. Generally black funitures represents water element. It will be bad to you if you are a strong water, weak Fire, weak Metal person etc. Basically, at this stage where I do not have much details (eg. true birth element, house chart etc) from you nor any analysis of your home etc. It is difficult to advice you or help you identify the p…

Dear Anon, Please see below:- For the Chinese, it is preferable that the ceiling fan where possible is not black. White or gold is fine. Do you find it uncomfortable? If so, you may like to change it. Purple represents the Fire element and it would normally depend on your Ba Zi. For a room, unless one has a need for the `Fire element' e.g. if a person is a weak wood person and staying in the room, can use the `Fire' element to help his/her weak wood to grow. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, Yes, in Chinese belief, it is not auspicious to use a black lamp shade. As for a throw pillow, this can be quite subjective. If you have a picture of it, perhaps you can post it here. Overall, having black furniture is not necessarily considered bad. For example, many leather seats for the living room are black in colour. Equally, nowadays, many furniture e.g. TV set stands and TV sets are in black colour. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Yang Ming, I like to add that, in my opinion, I am very confident that the "Black Hat" model is not viable in the Far East especially Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong and Taiwan. This is because, the "Black Hat" is based on a `marketing ploy'. I feel Black Hat is not viable for the following reasons:- 1. Locally in Singapore, the traditional Feng Shui practitioner does not mix products with their consultation. 2. Since products are readily available in a wide area in Singapore, there is NO REASON for a Feng Shui practitioner to tout such goods. 3. Unlike in the West, where perhaps, some of the products are rarer to find. And usually, some FS practitioners (authenti…

Dear Andrea, 1. Yes, Lin Yun was interviewed by a newspaper reporter. Indeed he admitted in the article that it is “better to believe in yourself than him”. He said that he was in fact a “fake”. Lin Yun’s confession can be found under this link:- 1.1. In order to understand `Black Hat Sect' or BTB properly, it is best to look at it entirely from `LUCK prospective'. 2. Types of LUCK: Under Chinese divinity / Feng Shui we can broadly classify LUCK into three general groupings:- 2.1 Heaven Luck: Under Traditional Chinese methods, Ba Zi or commonly called Pillars of Destiny/Eight Characters can be used to `discover' what was given to us i.e. Heaven luc…

Dear Anon, In compass readings, there is no right or wrong answers. Often, this is a `live' subject based on the dwelling. For more information, please go thru this resource:- http://www.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-cecilcompass.htm For example, taking a reading from the centrepoint or the flux, in my opinion, is one of the methods used, here also. One has to remember that we are not living in the past. In the past, if one looks at all the Chinese homes, the main door is often the `facing' direction. Nowadays, many apartments, flats and bungalows often have doors at the side. And to say that standing at the door facing out to read a direction is as subjective as any ot…

Hi Anon, Anonymous wrote: From the research I have done it seems I may have what is called a 'black stream' flowing under my propery/home. How do i balance this. Frankly, these probably has to do with the way underground water has over your home. Similiar to this link:- URL: http://www.geomancy.net/resources/art/art-under.htm The only true way to not be influenced by it, is frankly to move out to a better location without this issue. Because, if not if you continue to live in such a homes, health will be affected in a matter of time. Any solutions/items if any will only be slowing down the influence, not completely removing the negative influence from such a problem…

Dear Elena, In my opinion, painting the trim black does not invoke water. In addition I believe, that symbollically, it does not `touch' the roofs (where water may weigh down on the house). Furthermore, if one applies the 33.3% ruleset, it does not `occupy' such a large area. Nevertheless, yours is an interesting question. If it is not `broken' avoid `fixing' it. Warmest Regards, Cecil

Dear Anon, 1. If the tree is in your property, the best recommendation is to simply trim it neatly. 2. Yes, especially if the tree comes too close to the window one can use a fork (which is a safer object than knife or blade). If a knife is used, it is preferred that one uses a butter knife (not so dangerous). 3. But the most effective, is to either trim it or if you do not own it but by the municipal, write to them to trim it. Or simply close the curtain (if you can). Warmest Regards, Cecil

  13. Yes Master, I agree with your statements, I know many Fukienese in our place which were much, say, laid back than us of Cantonese descent...as they are more versatile in business. The HSBC Tower designed by I.M. Pei, for me isn't really blending with HK skyline...many people protested its construction...say the architects name and the building itself has ominous overtones. I also hear of mirror and ba-gua wars in HK and Guangdong. I also consider myself obsessed with Feng shui, as in taking it literally and with caution. Thanks Master for the time...looking forward to be enlightened again.

  15. Dear Angelia, 1. Thank you for your feedback. I am very glad that you have enjoyed this site:) 3. Yes, there is really no harm in doing so. However, as you had politely mentioned that hopefully neighbours do not complaint or worse still, report it to the police. 4. It would be more unlucky if we are met by a police patrol man knocking at our door at such an auspicious hour. 5. To be more practical, it should not be done during this time for the following reasons:- 5.1 For the sake of babies, we must be considerate to our neighbours. 5.2 If one stays in a landed property, one can see many neighbours turning on all their garden lights and interior lightings of the house. …

Dear Robert, i understand some of the rituals required like burning red charcoal and saying a prayer (i'm catholic) before entering the flat when movin in. A friend suggested i get a priest to bless the home the minute i open the door as the new owner (i'll be the 3rd new owner)for the first time to 'claim' the place over any 'unwanted guests'. Is that so ................ help. i'm getting first time owner jitters already. Thank you in advance. Mei yee

  18. Started by Cecil Lee,

Dear Mandy, Based on the facing direction it should be NW. And sitting direction is SE. Please use the free tools which is available in the website for finding the sleeping direction. For the stove, most practitioners often consider the female of the house - and it should preferably face her good direction. (Bearing in mind the flying star chart influence i.e. if a specific sector: some practitioners say is the North or NW, it is best to avoid the true compass directions else it may `burn' auspiciousness.). Warmest Regards, Cecil

Appended by Cecil: Please see the most recent message on Baywater. Please do not copy and paste the http://www.streetdirectory.com map directly to this forum. Please create a link to it, instead. I have deleted the map from this forum. Thank you for your co-operation. Dear Master Lee, I'm pretty new to "feng shui", hence I would appreciate if you can provide me some opinions and advice of yours about this block 255 located at Bishan Street 22 as I'm considering getting a resale unit from this particular HDB flat.

  20. Started by demon,

I am thinking of getting a flat in this area. Some units have windows facing the cross junction. 1. Is it advisable to avoid units with windows facing cross the cross junction? 2. Will the units with windows not facing the cross junction be affected too, considering that the whole structure of the blocks seem to be pointing to the cross junction. 3. Even though the windows of 298 do not face the junction, are the units there fine since the block is closest to the junction? Thanks!

Dear Anon, Anonymous wrote: Does a block number of a flat/apartment have any significance in feng shui audit? The feng shui luck comes from the house interior and exterior surrounding layout. So the location of where the block is located and how it faces is more important than the unit number or apartment number. So you should focused a good layout or good surrounding rather than just the number. You should only consider the unit number only after you have made sure the house and surrounding are good. ie if there is two units of the same layout and facing direction, but one on higher or lower floor. Then you can check which unit number is better. Otherwise, block or ap…

Hello, I have a quick question. My house has a electric/phone poll in front of the main door. From what I have read, this blocks off luck and opportunities. Is there anything I can do to counter this or at least make it less harmful? My 2nd question, not sure if it's because of the electric/phone poll blocking my front door but I havn't had ANY LUCK at all with finding a job. I graduated from college 6 months ago but have no luck finding a job. Every time I think I am about to find one (really rare occasions), it seems to slip away from me. I have looked at the outside of my house and everything seems fine except for the poll. I live on a hill but in the middle. From ins…

Sir: I lived in Singapore as a child and remember the house designs and examples of how geomancy can change luck. Now I live in Virginia Beach, Virginia. My neighbors who are Baptist pastors have had a lot of bad luck this year to include today, Christmas eve. Two episodes include death. To get to our street, you must turn down a side street about 50 yards long. Their house is at the end of this street so if you were in a car, your headlights would shine on their front door the whole way. The front door leads directly in to their house and living room without a blocking wall or step inside the house. As I remember fromtime in Singaore, this was never the case in the hou…
